Haruhi can't stay in the Host Club inevitably. Sooner or later she's going to have to leave, and 8 million yen is a large amount of money. Sure she's working it off in the club, but she's also incurring other expenses (like interest since I can't see Kyoya not charging her some). Plus there's no guarantee that the Host Club will outlive the graduations of its members (especially once both Kyoya and Tamaki leave for the wider world). So supposing that Haruhi still has a good deal of debt left over and either she has to leave the Host Club or the Host Club itself dissolves, who do you think should take over Haruhi's remaining debt to the Host Club? By taking over the debt, I mean that they would pay off the amount owed to the Host Club, and Haruhi would owe them.
If relation to an answer of Other, I prefer it be someone who knows Haruhi's secret - and yes, I'm including Nekozawa in this since he would've seen her (briefly) in a dress during the whole beach episode (manga-verse rather than anime-verse).

...well, it would be in Tamaki's interest, if he loves her and all. not only would he be doing a nice thing but also...she'd owe him...big.

I can see Tamaki jumping at the chance...since he'll think it'll make her like him more...Probably wouldn't work...and maybe Hikaru since he does have a crush on her...

I can see the twins jumping at the chance so they can always have their favorite toy. Then again, I can see Tamaki arguing with them about him wanting to do it instead to save his precious daughter.

I think it would probably be Kyoya since he is the money manager of the group so she technically owes him.

Hmm, I'm willing to bet that for the finale, whenever the creators and such decide to end the series,
there's going to be some offer for Haruhi to pay everything off at once if she does something.

I don't see Kyoya paying off her debt per se, but I can see him thanking her for her services to the club after graduating, telling her she's free of debt, smirking, then telling her that the Ootori business could use a good lawyer whenever she got out of college, haha =)

I would think Tamaki would say he would pay it off,then Hikaru and Kaoru would get an idea of a fund raiser....Kyouya would help advertise and get it all together.....It would have all the customers donate,saying that Haruhi broke that vase by accident and some cute/sob story..........

hmm, thats a fun one, if she doesnt pay it off on her own, from requests and/or becoming a kick but lawyer, i can kinda see, kyoya hiding the fact that she payed it off long ago but wanted to keep her around for him/tama-chan/the club in general to make more money, i can also see one of the guys paying it off for devious and/or pure reasons
