Cross Country / Track & Field

Hello there.
I am sure a lot of you know me, I been on here a lot.
I have to admit I am proud of myself for being loyal to this guild and participating.
But moving on.
I am starting xc this fall, and I am on my track and field team in school.
Does anyone here run/jump and etc.?
I do triple jump ^^
Anyone else, still post.
I want to hear your opinion about this sports.

I'm not a sporty person, so I fail. gonk Pretty much half of my friends (plus, my sister and boyfriend) have all ran either track or cross country, and I'm impressed with how long they've stayed with it. They all enjoyed it for the most part.

I bet you will, too. 4laugh

I'm not much for either of those. I just played soccer for a few years as a kid and then I was a cheerleader for a few years in junior high. Both were fun and a great experience, but now I'm too heavy into geeking-out in videogames to pursue sports. Plus I'm out of school anyway so there's not really any teams to join at this point. sweatdrop

Sports are kind of life for me.
I am a very athletic geek xD
There are still ways to join teams when your out of school!

I think track is so much more exciting because there are more tings to do that just run smile I'm thinking about joining the team next season.

I used to do XC. I quit when I moved to Texas because it's like super hot here and I can't stand running that much while in the hot sun. Track is much better though. I agree with lightdarkjes, there's a lot of events to choose from. I love high jump and the 100 or 400 meter the best.

I used to run XC and track, although I sucked at both. (18:13 3-mile, 11:46 3200, 5:17 1600) I enjoyed them though!
