The Guardians

The Guardians are the omnipotent entities that look after all of Telrunya. They reside in the heavens, watching out for all life on the isle. They are considered Deity and most Pae'il worship or revere them as such.

They Guardians are everywhere, but never seen. They have a personal messenger, Iris, that does all the communicating between them and Pae since they cannot speak directly to the Pae'il.

Their Job:
• To make sure all Pae'il are safe.
  
• To make sure Telrunya stays in one piece.
  
• To "lead" the Pae'il and offer guidance.
  
• To create Faerie Pae'il.
  
• To keep the inhabitants of Telrunya informed.
  
• To promote only the most worthy of Pae'il, to Elders.
  
• To protect the Pae'il as a species, and help them maintain their way of life.
  
• To give each Pae'il a power and a purpose.
  

Random facts about The Guardians:
• There are 10 of them, however only 9 preside together.
  
• The Guardians are former Angel and Demon Pae that have ascended to rule and watch over all Pae'il and Telrunya.
  
• Faerie Pae'il are the only pae created by the Guardians. All others come from somewhere else.
  
• Guardians have been searching for a very long for the Book of Transcendence. This book is rumored to contain all the knowledge of Telrunya; past, present and future.

Guardian Iris

Iris is not a real Guardian, but has been given the title by the Pae'il. She's the liason between The Guardians and the Pae'il, delivering messages, gifts and blessings.

Because she works so closely with the Guardians, Iris is considered as omniscient as the Guardians themselves. Iris is always available should a Pae'il need her, or the Guardian's assistance.

Race: Fairy, one of the original races to inhabit Telrunya.
Age: unknown, she is immortal
Personality: Iris tries to be serious and maintain a professional attitude with the Pae'il, however sometimes her playful and confused side will emerge if proded enough.
History: Iris was chosen to be the messenger for the Guardians when she was born. Its a job, and duty she's had for Ages, and she loves it. She loves that she gets a chance to play a part in so many Pae'il's lives.
Played by: Any staff member. She's rarely involved in RP, but is the one to post bulletins or deliver scrolls.

Guardian Strafe

Not much is known about this shady character yet.

What has been revealed about this NPC:
• He is one of the 10 Guardians.
  
• He is shady.
  
• He resides in Dragnid.
  
• Has a lackey named Branwen, who is a Pae'il he tried to create himself. (more about her in her post)
  
• Watches all Pae'il closely.

Personality: shady, that's all we know.
History: unknown
Purpose: This is unknown as well, though rumors point to him becoming a villian.

Diana

Diana is a child pae that looks after all of the islands fairies and Mellons. She's got a special connection with each and every one, and unlike other Pae'il, she's able to communicate with them all.

Diana also has a very big secret that she is keeping!

History: not much of Diana's history has been discovered yet.
Purpose: So far, she is known as the Mellon Keeper. But there is more to her than meets the eye.

Millie, Fairy of Life

This little fairy has been entrusted with brewing the magicial potions that enable Pae'il to breed.

She is as omniscient as Iris, and knows each and every Pae'il on the island.

Personality: kinda and loving. Just like a gramma.

Purpose: She's the NPC that helps deliver the breeding potions

Potions Master Kalandandra

Kalandandra has been entrusted with brewing any and all concoctions, potions, elixirs and salves that Pae'il may need. She's very clever, and is able to brew anything!

Personality: She's snarky, and impatient. She likes to toy with Pae'il when given the opportunity.
History:
Purpose: She's where all potions on the island come from, and she even helps with breeding potions sometimes.

Chief Rais

Rais is the leader of the ancient breed of Faun Pae'il.

He is also the reincarnated leader, Arda, who led the Faun in the ancient days.

Purpose: To lead the Faun, and is the keeper of the Earth Element. He also is able to use the Amber stone to communicate with Laisidhiel, the Tree of Life.

Chief Arda

Arda is the true, and original leader of the ancient Faun Pae'il. He was one of the first five Pae'il ever created, long before the Angels, Demons and Faeries ever existed.

Purpose: He is the original keeper of the Earth Element, and tasked with leading the Faun, and protecting Telrunya.

Queen Tariel

Race: Pae'il - Naiad
Age: unknown
Personality: kind, loving, and a bit flighty
History: Originally cast off the island, Tariel and a handful of Naiads grew up in the Sea, unknowing of what or who they were. After the island crashed into the water, Tariel, her court and followers investigated the new land, and found that she is the rightful heir of Alu's Spring, the temple in the lake on Telrunya. Magic pulled the island to Tariel, but for what reason?
