I was just wondering what you guys thought because I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere....Well except for other peoples opinions.Sometimes I think that not even Tite Kubo himself knows himself...(( no offense Mr. Kubo ))

Anyways here's what I think...

I'm not exactly sure where I heard this/ read this,but I got to thinking about why Bleach has such an odd name.Then the phrase 'Bleach the souls', popped up in my head.

It makes sense to me because Soul Reapers basically purify the souls of Hollows and other souls....,or bleach them if you will.

Bleach turns things white (( even if it takes quite a bit of it,it will eventually )) and white is always used to describe pure things.What do you think?Do you agree or am I just insane?

well when a soul reaper sends a soul to the soul society,weither it be a whole or hollow,they get purified.

white often resembles pure things.

pure=things that are good and have no evil in them.

Tite kubo said in an interview for SJ that it's because bleach uses a lot of the color black. naming it black would be boring.so he called it bleach, since bleach is white and white is the opposite of black.

the show was to be guns instead of swords

yup, i saw that in an interview too.
he said they originaly were supposed to have guns,
but then he changed his mind because it would be better for them to have swords.
