Handmade banner

[Sakura Nashimara]

I made this banner in 2007 and I no longer have it, since it was given to the person I made it for as a present, but I'm still really proud of it. I made the denim patches by ripping apart an old pair of jeans, drew things related to the band of whom I made it for on them, and sewed them onto the banner. The banner itself took 2 hours to sew. It was 10 feet long and 3 feet tall. The lettering I originally did in chalk on the fabric and then I painted the words on with glittery silver fabric paint and surrounded each silver letter with an orange outline of fabric paint. In all, it took 11 hours to complete, and that's including the time it took for the paint to dry. I put a simple signature on it too, the banner, since it took so long to make and I had a pretty strong feeling someone out there on the net would be so low as to claim they had been the one to make the banner I created. But, like i said, here are pictures of it. You can judge the banner yourself. And yeah, the does say happy soberversary on it, because I made it to congratulate the person I made it for on not drinking for 3 years.
