Fi stretched, getting used to being so large. Her recent growth spurt had been unexpected, she even had to find newer coconuts and a larger bit of cloth for her waist and chest! That was something she hadn't had to do before! The faun was making her way down to the beach, she hadn't been there in so long, just because she was dealing with the growth she hadn't been expecting. She missed Hula Bob, a lot. The new adult was wondering if he had forgotten entirely about her or not since she had been gone so long.

In any case, she was determined to make it to the beach to see him. It had been waaaaay too long. Halloween was the last time and it was the middle of winter now! Not nice at all. She shook her head and stumbled onto the sand. Oh hey, sand! Just a few more feet and she could find Bob! With a giggle Phiona started running towards the Tiki Bar, smiling. Her best guess was he was either there or on the waves. She hadn't even thought about the possibility of him having a home away from the bar.

Hula Bob was outside the bar putting up lights. He had some fun flamingo lights, flip-flop lights, beach balls and then some normal ones. He was putting them on the bar and the palm trees out front. The demon was up flying around the top of the bar putting up the lights when he saw Fi.

"Aloha Fi! Mele Kalikimaka!" The demon floated down to her and then saw the change. From up top it was hard to tell the difference, but now he could see it. She was all grown up. He shook his head and smiled not sure what to say.

She smiled at the decorations, wondering exactly what kinds he had and why he was putting them up. Then she remembered what time of year it was. It made perfect sense now. It was christmas, and he was being festive!

"Mele Kalikimaka?" The faun tilted her head, not remembering what those words meant. "Wait what's wrong?" She saw him shake his head, wondering if she had done something stupid. Wait, she just asked a question, he never shaken his head to a question of hers before. So what happened? Confused and frustrated she looked at him. Phiona wanted an answer.

"Why are you shaking your head?" She demanded, looking cute through her frustration. She couldn't think of one single thing that would cause him to shake his head like that and it wasn't helping that she was embarrassed about the way she looked. Sure she loved having her antlers fully grown, but she was more annoyed with it than anything. Maybe he would change her view on the matter?

"That is Hawaiian for Christmas." Hula Bob explained to her. He then shook his head again. "Oh, sorry dudette, I was just noticing how grown up you are. Very awesome." He nodded this time with another smile. "A beautiful lady." He then winked before taking more lights and putting them around her.

"Oooh.." She nodded, still waiting for the other answer only to blink and blush a little. Well if he liked it, then there wasn't a reason for her not to right? "Um.. Thanks.." Fi mumbled, letting him put the lights around her. Hmm.. That was an interesting thought. She twisted around in them some, giggling, finally topping her antlers with the remaining strand. "Sparkly" The female smiled, distractedly looking at herself as best she could.

Wait a second! If she could wear lights and be pretty so could he! Smirking she grabbed an unstrung set of lights and wrapped it around the demon in front of her. "Hehe!" Fi smiled wide, "Now you're sparkly too!"

Hula Bob chuckled as he watched her put the lights on more. He hadnt' thought about how her branches would look very awesome with lights on them until she was done. "That's awesome." He chuckled again.

"Yay! So, I look nice then?" He said after Fi put them on him. He moved around a little to show off the lights. "I think it's beginning to look a lot like Chirstmas!"

She smiled, looking up at him. He liked her idea~ That of course made Fi very very happy. The faun giggled, looking up at him. "Yep, you look very good." She stated, smiling at him.

"Christmas is here?" Fi's eyes went wide. She had heard about that time of year, though this was the first time she had ever wanted to spend it with someone or celebrate it in general. The female squeed excitedly, not sure why she had missed the first hint that it was the Christmas season.

Hula Bob nodded. "It's getting close. I even think snow might be coming." The demon looked up at the sky. Okay, maybe not. He really wasn't sure now that they landed if there would be snow or not. He didn't really like it himself, but it did make if feel more Christmas-y.

"So, now that you are all grown up what are you going to do now?" Hula Bob asked as he walked over to another box of lights and decorations.

"Snow would be nice." She smiled, liking the thought of snow. Even if it did get stuck on her branches. But that was half the fun of the season. The other half was of course the warm drinks you got to have to warm you up, and the time spent with friends and family. Ooooh, this was gonna be a fun Christmas.

Fi was about to giggle, only to blink, confused by his question. Huh.. She hadn't thought about that one. The new adult shook her head, walking over to help him with the lights. "I don't know.." Fi answered his question honestly. There was so much she could do, but mostly she just wanted to spend time with him.. Her feelings for him were still there, even in the odd body.

Suddenly a thought ran through her mind. She was small and lanky last time they had seen each other, did he really think of her the way she wanted him to? A frown tainted her face, thinking about it. There wasn't a good chance he liked her like that was there.. Phiona wanted to ask him, but she wasn't quite sure how... "Maybe I'll find a boyfriend.." She muttered, half answering his question a little more, half thinking aloud.

Hula Bob looked at Fi with her answer. She sure was a lovely adult. He nodded surely she would find one. At this point he felt old and didn't even think that a girl could like him let alone him like a girl himself. Although, he did very much like Fi. She surely was his type. A beach bunny like he always saw himself with. If only he could wake up and see her standing there.

The demon finally spoke. "I'm sure you will. A nice beach boy for you a great beach bunny." he chuckled at the thought. Who else was a beach boy other then himself? His many relations...mostly were girls or married. That got him to thinking a bit.

She blinked, instantly looking hurt. Did that mean he really didn't see her that way? Biting her lip, his words had really hurt, she took a deep breath. It hitched in her throat, tears were welling in her eyes. This wasn't good. She couldn't really speak, not that she wanted to. The faun was doing her best to not cry, but it wasn't working. Half silently she reached out and clung to him, cursing that she was too tall to bury her face in his chest right now. She settled for the lowest point she could get, which turned out to be his neck. Fi didn't care if she had stopped him from what he was doing, she needed a moment.

This rejection, it hurt. She wanted this beach boy, he had just told her no! Any girl would be upset by his words, if they were in the situation. She mumbled through his skin, "I d-don't wa-want some-someo-one else.. I want you.." clearly crying through her stutters.

Hula Bob was surprised by Fi's reaction. What had happened? Why was she now crying? He didn't understand because he didn't really know what it was he had said. The demon was rather mystified.

Then Fi spoke. Sure if was through sobs, but Hula Bob heard her. He again was shocked. He had no idea that she liked him. Until recently she was a teen and he didn't think of her that way. Now of course she was grown up and he was awesome so why not like him? He patted her back and her head with his hands. "Me? I'm just an old man. Okay, I'm awesome...but really?" He hadn't had someone want him in that way since forever...

Fi nodded, not really having the courage to look up from her spot right now. She didn't honestly care how old he was, but then any female in love could say the same thing, if not the same for males. Well, at least the ones who fell in love the way she had.

It didn't take long for the sudden onslaught of tears to stop as suddenly as they had started, though her face had been left reddened, but she could move her head back to look at him now. At least without suddenly breaking into tears. Fi wiped her eyes off slightly, looking at Hula Bob. "Y-you're not t-that old.." She took a deep breath, looking at him seriously. Phiona had been thinking of him that way for a while now, it still kind of hurt to know she had been happy over a different kind of like than what she had wanted, but this was the chance to make it better right?

Hula Bob was glad that she had stopped crying. He never liked to see a girl or anyone cry. Now about being old. He had never thought of himself that way before... he was wondering why he had thought that now. Sure, he had met her at teen, but Ceri was an elder when they met. She didn't care how much older and taller, at the time, she was.

This gave the demon an idea. "Alright, dudette how about a date?" He meant it too. If she 'liked' him then a date was the right start. Or so they always said. He hadn't been on one of them in forever either.

She blinked, smiling. Fi had heard about dates, they had always sounded so nice, even if they didn't always end the way one wanted them to. "R-really?" The stutter this time wasn't a remnant of the tears, it was in pure joy and shock at the moment.

Without much hesitation at all, Phiona nodded, the smile on her face wide. She was really happy, especially since she had been upset to the point of tears a few moments ago. The faun's tail was wiggling, causing her to blush. She felt like a dog, but that didn't really matter. She got a date with the guy she had been crushing on for only the guardians knew how long.
