October 28th, 2006 - Sion has returned from visiting Lupine, and shall soon begin the trials of Alpha selection.

Tala sighed as she walked past the frozen lake. She hated when the months turned cold and swimming was out of the question. Tala sat down at the end of the lake, where her paws wouldn't touch the ice, and peered down inside. There was a dead fish frozen near the top, probably caught there when it iced over. It stared up at her with its glossy eyes and she stood up. The skirt of her little grass dress blew slightly in the breeze as she started walking, deciding she would find some company, or at least someplace to light a fire and warm up a little.

Kiche wasn't too far off. If the female were to travel a bit further, she might see the soft orange and gold glows of the small fire she'd lit in the small clearing near the edge of the woods. She glanced upwards, straining her eyes to gaze up through the tangled branches of the trees, and watched a cloud drift across the crystal blue sky.

*Tumnus wandered in and looked at this encampment. He had been informed of this clan and wished very much to fit in here and perhaps gain some valued friends. he was tired of being on his own and desired something he could consider a family. If all went well he could get what he wanted*

Hearing the crunching of snow underfoot, she glanced up to she the brown-furred male approaching. She knew every member of her pack, and he most certainly was not one of them. She sat up straight, gazing quietly at him. He didn't look as if he would fit into any opposing packs, so she assumed him a tribe wolf. Whether he was friend or foe was still to be decided.

Tala soon felt a warmth coming from nearby. She could see smoke rising from behind the trees and the slightest orange flicker caught her eye. With a smile, Tala entered this clearing to see who seemed to have read her mind this chilly day. She found there, a familiar looking female and a stranger. Tala walked up beside her fellow pack member, her dress swishing slightly at her thighs, and watched the male.

"Who is this?" she asked no one in particular.

*Tumnus cleared his throat before speaking* I am Tumnus, I have wandered a long time in search of this very tribe. I am in the hopes of joining if I am allowed and hope to become an asset. *Here he paused hoping he did not sound like an idiot. But the truth was he really did want to join and sometimes the simple truth was far better than any fancy words. Big words just confused him and never made any sense. He was not stupid but only preferred a straight and to the point verbage and he did not feel he could accomplish that with misleading talk. He was a no nonsense type who wanted to belong.*

"You wish to join us?"

Tala looked the male over. She only knew of one other male in the pack besides the alpha, and that was the pack elder whom she'd never met. She wondered if he had met Sion yet, or if he would approve. Tala's tail swished in curiosity behind her.

"I suppose you'll have to meet with Sion."

*Tumnus nodded and sat by a tree trunk.* I will wait then, Thank you. *He gave her a smile then amused himself with his bo until he met with Sion. However long that took is however long he'd wait for. In the long run there really was no point in being in a rush. He was stubborn enough to be patient and the two females he had met seemed nice enough. Perhaps he should meditate for a while to pass the time.*

Tala watched him take his seat and looked around her. She wondered if Sion was nearby. Really, she wouldn't have minded seeing him herself. She remembered why she had come to the clearing in the first place now though, and went to the fire that blazed hot in the center of it. Tala took a seat on one of the fallen logs that were placed around it and held her paws up to warm them.
