Domain of the Woodland Pack(Open though fixing.) [Faetasia]

Sion rubbed his chin and ran his hand overa bowl filled with polished stones. He picked them and dropped them back into the bowl one at a time. He had to consider his next move for the pack carefully, the slightest error could resound in destruction of the pack. The timing of the selection trial had to be planned flawlessly. He carefully consider each of the females, the most active in the pack being Tala, and Ami they showed they showed the most promise for the role.

"The time draws nearer and nearer..."  

[NekoRikku]

* ami watches tumnus then she looks at tala* " are we going to use that hide too, it would make a nice blanket."  

[Aoi Shinu]

Tala nodded to her companion, "Yes, when Tumnus finished with it, we can go and get it. The more we have the better."

She had just finished the last of her hide scraps. A successful pile of cloaks and blankets sat to her left. She took the opportunity to look over at Ami's pile. It was smaller, but only because she had started later.

"Ami your work isn't half bad on those, and it looks as though each one shows a little more improvement than the last. You did good."

Tala stood, gathering the blankets and cloaks in her arms, "I'll just take the finished ones to the storage. We can work more when we have more hides."

She smiled and headed off, putting the items away neatly for the pack to put to use.

* ame nods at her then smiles* " thanks tala I gress I will go fishing now, and also look for veggies."  

[Aoi Shinu]

Tala stretched her arms up over her head and let her paws rest in the breeze a moment. The warm weather was returning to them, however slowly, and she loved it. One of Tala's favorite things was to go sun-bathing, making her fur all warm. She let her arms down and looked out over the camp.

Sion stepped away from his resting place after he stood, he was going to have to observe the females each to know their strengths more. He had to assume that one of the females would have the right traits to bring about a stronger generation to the pack.  

[Aoi Shinu]

The blankets and cloaks she and Ami had made wouldn't be necessary for much longer. She had been impressed with how quickly the girl had picked it up, and she felt good for teaching her. She looked over at a stack of them that had already been put away by those who no longer needed them to keep warm at night.

The blankets being tossed away was a sign that food would become easier to get soon too. Tala strolled toward the woods, figuring she might as well just have a look. She'd been a good hunter before coming to the pack, but being there had strengthened her skill greatly. When the slightest flash went past her eye, she was quick to pounce, and that was just what happened when two rabbit hopped out of their burrough to see what the weather was like.

Tala normally was a very timid, very pleasant girl, but when she hunted she was ruthless. She wanted to feed her family, her fellow pack-members, and those rabbits hardly had time to react before she'd stricken them down and gathered them into her grasp. She teld them by their long floppy ears and turned around happily.

Tala walked back toward the camp. She'd got a little blood on her dress, which she'd have to work hard to get out later, but the food was more important than that. She smiled in greeting to Sion as she approached.

"Hello Sion. Are you well today?"  

[Driugenesis]

"I am fine...just deep in thought..."

He rubbed the fur on his chin as he thought quietly closing his emerald eyes for a moment. He listened to the sound of the wind as it traveled through the trees. He had become wiser in the years of leading the pack this would be the third winter he had lead his pack through, it was growing time to bring a new generation.  

[Aoi Shinu]

Tala tossed the rabbits into the food storage and wiped her paws on the hem of her dress. She scrunched her nose at the little spot of blood. She'd get it out later.

"Would you prefer if I left you alone then?"

She hoped he wouldn't mind a bit of company.  

[Driugenesis]

"I do not require solitude Tala. Only vampires require that..."

Sion stepped forward quietly as he took in the serenity of his surroundings quietly. He was simply glad the fighting between the packs had subsided the death pack caused too much trouble in the time they were a menace. The protectors of the woodlands had a role.  

[Aoi Shinu]

"Of course..."

Tala chewed her bottom lip slightly. Sion had seemed different lately than he had when she joined the pack. She wondered if it had something to do with the journey he'd taken, or the trials he was planning. In any case, she hoped he would be himself again soon. Some days he just seemed...distant.

"It's getting so much warmer. With all the green coming back, the forest will be such a nice place to look at."

She smiled up at him, walking beside him.  

[Driugenesis]

"Indeed it is. But that means the harsh winds will be going on for another month we should keep the blankets we will need them this winter."

Sion for the most part had simply grown up some, he was no longer the foolish alpha he once was when he was younger. He had become somewhat stronger after meeting Lupine, he felt awe inspired by the lord of all Werewolves.  

[Aoi Shinu]

Tala nodded, "They held up well, Ami helped me a great deal in making them. They'll last through the winds."

Tala was confident in this. They were strong blankets, and the cloaks were strong as well. She made them to last a while yet.

She brushed some hair out of her face and closed her eyes for a minute as they walked. It was nice to listen to the quiet. The birds were just starting to come back, so it was still mostly silent in the treetops.  

[Driugenesis]

"We must be prepared for the trials to select a female alpha...I have decided I shall commence with the selection process soon."

His voice solemn and help compassion for the pack, he wanted to make sure the pack survived to become as important as the other packs.  

[Aoi Shinu]

Tala opened her eyes and looked up at him. They'd been waiting a long time to see when the trials would actually begin. Tala knew what an important choice this was for Sion. The alpha female could weaken or strenghten the pack depending on her skills and fallbacks. She thought of how nice it would be to have pups running around to take care of.

"That is a big event for us, Sion. We all want to see the pack prosper so much, and appointing an alpha female will put us a great stride forward."
