So, I bought the book on Saturday, and finished it today [Monday], and then watched the filmed version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Broadway musical adaptation. I really like both the book and the movie. What do you all think of them?

I LOVE Phantom Of THe OPera, I've never actually read the book, but I mean to.
I must have watched the movie like, a hundred times in my fourteen year old life.
And I went and saw the play... twice.
I really like the music in it, and the Phantom is hot so... yeah biggrin

Just to warn you, the Phantom is not hot in the books.
He's just really, really sad.

You have to look through the darkness...

I absolutely adore The Phantom of the Opera. My obsession started with the play and spilled out from there. I fell in love with it instantly, especially the music. I have the bluray version of the dvd and I have watched all the special features numerous times. I loving watching the movie and I have even made my boyfriend watch it with me almost five times now. I have the original soundtrack on my ipod and know all the songs by heart. I am now half way through the book and my love for the Phantom continues to grow!

I have even seen the original Phantom play called The Phantom that was shelved shortly after Andrew Lloyd Webbers version came out. I was not as brilliant as The Phantom of the Opera, but it wasn't bad. Though I would much rather watch Monsieur Webbers version I admit.

I love the book, the new movie, and the older broadway show. I saw it in Seattle.

I've read it, and watched it, and they are both great ^^.
The only thing that I still want to see is the musical (not a film musical but a real musical), they say that he is a bit different, butI've got no idea. 3nodding

I read this book like two years ago and loved it. I never seen the movie or the play or anything, I have just read the book. It is one of my favs though and I suggest it to people often.

I haven't read the book, but I have seen the musical and the movie, and I saw the sequel Love Never Dies in London. I love it! The music is absolutely gorgeous. 3nodding

I like the music. I've seen the movie, the one with Gerard Butler (YUM!♥), and it was ok. Not my favourite, but it was just ok.

I've never gone to see the Broadway production though I would go to New York just to watch it. I adore the movie with a passion. It is truely a work of art.

I read the book and though I like classics it just disappointed me. I was expecting more.....
