I'm not shitting you, this is a real assignment I got from Intermediate Painting. The month of April is going to be filled with paintings. If I start a painting that day, it has to be done that day. I guess if I did one at 11:30 pm I would let myself run into the next day, but stick with the TIME LIMIT I SET TO MYSELF. That's right, if I go "I'm only spending 1 hour on this painting." GUESS WHAT? ONLY ONE HOUR GOES INTO THAT PAINTING.
They'll all be in Water Soluble Oils. Some with have Acrylic under them. None will be glazed, because I wont have the time to let them dry.
So let me start you off with the first painting.
Silly Title: A Reminder My Glasses Are Broken
Time Limit: 3 hours
Finished in: 2 hours 50 minutes ( 4/1/10 1:40- 4:30pm)
Dimensions: 16x20"
How I got here: A lot of Cadmium Yellow Pale, Cerulean Blue Hue, and some French Ultramarine and Titanium white. THE ONLY COLORS I USED FOOLS. It was painted over an old acrylic painting that was brown, orange, yellow, and green. So I blocked in all the colors at first (WHICH I DON"T HAVE A PICTURE OF) then smeared it with my hands in a paint rag, and then went back in and painted in some details. Like the eye. I don't know why but it was really important that my right eye just sort of stared at you.
