He was a beloved grandfather. Served in the second civil war where he met my grandmother. Although a strict father, he was loved by his children. He suffered from Alzteimers and his last years were very forgetful, and he often confused his grandchildren with his children. He had various types of cancer and when they found it, there was nothing he could do. He died in the arms of his children and died happy.
