I guess this can go in this forum...
This is a weird question and most of you guys are gonna be like..wtf lol But would it be weird to "date" some one on gaia? Cus a few mintues ago i was thinking about something like that... like not necessarily let them know where you live and all that creepy stuff, but like someone you can talk to and you can trust (online) because idk it seems like i would be able to trust that person with more things than real life friends, since they don't really know me
but then i thought "wait is that a good idea". so then i came here to the people who always are good with advice wink
--------------------------------------------------- yea i know this is complicated and very odd..kinda embarrassing redface but please help?

My ex-boyfriend introduced himself to me through Gaia after stalking me at school for weeks.
A year later, he raped me twice in my own home, and it's been two years since and he still calls my house every day, about 40 times each day.
DON'T DO IT.

i know this is a social netowrking site, and some people come on here and find friends (and love in some cases), but i don't think anyone should date anybody on a web site. probably for every decent awesome guy (or girl), there's like 10 jealous stalking creeps who simply can't just find someone in the real world, so they go to sites like gaia or whatever to compensate, because you're right: it is easier to open up to somebody when there's no face to face contact, and that isn't always good. they can easily use whatever you say against you.
i'd be very wary if i were in your position (i was there once, except it wasn't on gaia.)
