I just found a lone kitten, without mom. I've give it some kitten formula which make it over-active. How can I train the kitten to stop biting my fingers and toes? (Its starting to get really hurt)

Maybe I should buy a scratching post . . .

Its still a kitty..wait for it to mature 3nodding

But if you really want to train the kitty 3nodding Treat kitty cat foods, so he/she will follow you. And dont make your toes and fingers go near the kitty blaugh blaugh

My suggestion is bop it on the nose and tell it no, in a stern voice.

Or, you can put a little vinegar on your fingers when your playing
with it. The it'll taste the vinegar and shouldn't like it.

3nodding

Good luck with the new kitty.

you should make it so your finger goes to the back of their mouth and they cant get it out. it doesnt hurt them, but it does bother them enough to make them stop doing it. it works with my cats.

When it's a little older, a tap on the nose when it bites will usually do it for my kitties- but cats will be cats and if they're mad at you or want to play, they'll bite.

It's how they play. Get it something else to chew on.

Like a catnip mouse. They're not too expensive (you can usually get two of them for about $3) and they last practically forever if you get the kind with plastic bodies covered in synthetic fur material.

The fur will eventually be stripped off, but the body is hard to destroy.

Best of luck with the kitten; I've hand raised one from a week old. Now she's a fat spoiled lap lump heart

I agree with using something like vinegar or lemon juice on your fingers and toes. It should keep the kitty from biting.

Goodluck, kittens are a ton of fun.
