... is getting so ******** complicated. :C I don't even know where to start.

At the end of last quarter, we pitched an idea for a film piece that would effectively explore a concept that we felt was undeveloped in today's changing world. This wasn't limited by any means, but we'd have to back it up with decent research, an entire production plan, budget, etc. The only limit we had is that the piece had to be under 10:00 exactly.

I was up one night and figured out the title. I'd been toying with the idea for awhile but wasn't sure if I wanted to explore it so thoroughly. The idea was that of dysfunction and distance in relationships, more importantly, my own. Although it worked for awhile and it gave me an excuse to fly to Michigan to see Mary, Stef and Josh, I came back with little research and a lot of footage.

I've been playing with it for awhile now, probably having put in at least 15+ hours into editing at this point. I've decided to make some patterns within the piece; Most notably, that of 5 repeating sequences. The sequences themselves will have three parts: Footage of the Macinaw Bridge, followed by footage of intimate rooms, followed by interviews I conducted regarding relationships. I repeat these sequences 5 times on account of the symbolism of 5. According to H.P. Blavatsky, 5 is the spirit of life and human love. Also, in England, a knot tied in the form of a five-pointed star (the pentagram) is the symbol of love because of it’s association with the goddess, Venus. The final segment would only have the footage from Macinaw Bridge and then close.

However, I've gotten past the third sequence of the piece only to realize that I don't know how to piece together this fourth sequence. I honestly am at a complete halt in my work, having figured out the rest of the details absolutely and with nothing to say for it on account of my poor research. I've dipped into the stories of my friends, my family and now I'm left attempting to wrap them up -- I don't know if I can, or if I should. Is that right? Is that my place? I really can't say, but if this piece is ever going to get done, I need to make a powerful decision that may drastically change the orientation of the piece.

tl;dr -- FFFF HOW DOES I CONCLUDE
