I'm on my college search again.
I know for sure I'm applying to these:
-Florida State University
-University of Miami
-University of Central Florida
-Hollins University

I really would like to go to a [not so expensive my
only food choice will be ramen noodles] private college.
Any suggestions?
[I don't apply to most of them until next year but places like
UM (for their 7yr. medical program) suggest applying a
year or two beforehand.

Honestly, I'm not sure if there is any good private schools that aren't expensive. Since they don't receive any funding from the state, they make up for the money they need with tutition, meal plans, and housing. I know Jacksonville University (and the inside of their buildings are really bland, old, and not really nice) is a good 30k either per semester or per year, can't remember. I'd imagine most private colleges would be around there or maybe only a little less.

You can always go to a smaller university (assuming the reason you want to go to a private school is the small class size, etc). University of North Florida shouldn't be too big. I know the University of West Florida is pretty small too. I'm sure there are some others as well. I'm sure there are also specific state colleges too, but I never looked them up when I was finding schools.

I'm really not familiar with the private schools of Florida, so I'm not sure I could be much of a help.

I've looked into JU a little bit
but from what I've heard it doesn't really fit me.
UNF & UWF don't offer Psychology B.S. programs
[not that I'm aware anyway]
Thanks though !

They don't have to be in Florida.
I'm just partial to Florida.
I'm actually really wanting to go to Hollins
which is in Virginia. [My grades are the problem...]
Florida private colleges aren't that great...
I can just get more scholarships to go to them.

Very much so.

The state tries to keep a lot of high school students from moving down here - claiming that all they wanted was the free college. So, I'm not sure what our Nazi regime will do in the way of scholarships for Dirty Outsiders.

Oh yeah. JU suuucks.
Ah. Yeah UWF's Psychology degree is a B.A. I didn't think that mattered though. Is a B.S. Psychology major tougher or something? o.o
Nevermind. I looked it up. XD So, you just want to go more into the research/hard science of Psychology over the counseling, etc, so you are looking specifically for a B.S. over a B.A.?
Have you tried just searching "Private colleges for B.S. in psychology"? You miiiight be able to run into something like that.

There are also websites that allow you to put in your information and desires and schools will send you info through the account. They are usually private schools since I never got a university really send me stuff without me signing up for specific crap.

I'm trying to remember which private colleges that sent me info. Flagler or something like that sticks out.

I want to be a psychiatrist.
I want a B.S. in psychology
with a minor in Biology,
while doing the prerequisites for Medical School.
a busy busy bee is what i will beeeeee (:

I'm trying to search for colleges but
there are so many to go through.
It's a little overwhelming.

I will try the option of 'let them send stuff to you'
haha. Thanks. : ]

I did the "let them send stuff to you" route.
Ended up with boxes of college catalogs & junk.

only to run away to NY and apply to the 1st community college with a good bio program ::cough::

Isn't there a college on a cruise ship? I remember wanting to go to that.

I have no idea about American colleges but trust me ramen noodles are not a cheap way of eating, nothing premade is cheaper!
Cooking (nearly) everything yourself is the best way of budgeting your food razz

Ramen noodles are like $0.15 a packet;
my homemade jalapeno poppers were $7.45.
haha. Plus I'm totally a fan of fruit salad though
nummy stuff.
(:

Ah, I thought you meant pot ramen, which isn't bad tasting, it's about £1.25 a pot here but the portions are too small to fill me up.

You can buy instant noodles here for under 10p a packet... but they are so bland >_>
I end up eating at least 3 and pouring spices all over them.

I love fruit salad, I often get like a mango and a melon (in a 2 for 1 deal the shop did) and have a fruit salad with plain yoghurt on top for breakfast smile
Yummy.

I should just become a professional food taster.
Screw college.
: D

Oh no, I like Ramen Noodles... I don't really eat them often
since you know, I care what I look/feel like. (:

I've been craving fruit salad for a long time now.
I haven't really wanted to make any.

If you like Indiana, Notre Dame is a pretty prestigious school. Really expensive, but its got a nice campus and whatnot.
