Please! I'm extremely allergic to poison ivy, and seem to have to have contracted it yet again. I have washed my hands 32462457 times, but it still seems to be spreading. It's driving me crazy. Due to my new found craziness, I'm looking for crazy remedies that will help me make it go the hell away. PLEASE SAVE ME!!

You need a friend, an axe, and fire.

Are you telling him to have a buddy lop off his hands, & cauterize the wounds?

A bucket of hydrocortisone cream?
A lot of benedryl?
Gloves so you don't scratch you skin off?
(I'm serious about the bendryl >>;; )

I'd almost be okay with that. It itches that bad. I am insanely allergic. In fourth grade, I had it so bad that I spread my fingers and there was literally no air in between them, due to swelling. That's why I'm keeping the affected fingers separated from the rest of my hand. And looking for a remedy.

I took Benadryl earlier. I got sent home from work early because I threw up twice. No more Benadryl for Matt.

gonk
That's really bad!
If you're that allergic, maybe you should go to the hospital?

Or at least go to a doctor. It hasn't gotten that bad yet. Hopefully it won't. D:

Tried these?

Otherwise, I'd say a doctor before you go clinically insane.

I need to see a doctor. I'm going to try a couple home remedies tomorrow, and then make an appointment to see a doctor. I put Windex on it for now. Windex contains ammonia, which should dry it out. Tomorrow I want to dry baking soda and white vinegar. After that, it's doctor. Prescription steroids should help it.

In all honesty, nothing will cure severe poison ivy/oak but the help of a doctor. All the remedies you're reading don't do much; they simply ease the pain (but it comes back a couple minutes later). So yeah, see a doctor. He'd have more helpful information than Gaia.

Yeah, I figured...

Update: I applied a paste concocted from Baking Soda and White Vinegar. Instant relief. I'm so happy.

That or Oatmeal. Or the pink stuff. As for getting rid of Poison Ivy, I found this new killer stuff by Round Up, that it's a spray and it kills it within a week. It works great! But on the bottle it says, "Do not spray on anything you want to live."

Lol.
