Well, first of all this isn't all of them. We are going to get a baby goat soon, a San Clemente Island Goat, which is a very rare breed. And she will be a milk goat, not a meat goat, no worries everyone. She'll be arriving with her mother as soon as she's old enough to travel. She's not named yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Clemente_Island_goatMy hubby also has a laying hen, still too young to lay though. She's a young ISA Brown chicken. This isn't her, we don't have pics of her yet, but she looks a lot like them. She's named Ruffles. ISA brownAaaand now for the rest of the pictures. My hubby's yearling Shire filly, Jehna: Jehna and my Friesian filly, Wyn (two months younger than the Shire) The Shire has the brown tail. The one in the coat is an older friesian mare, not ours. Our garter snake: Our Costa Rican Zebra tarantula, Perry: Our two cats, Phantom and Lee, sharing the top of the snake terrarium, their favorite place: Phantom being a gentlemen: Lee looking sleepy: Our roomba! Yes, generic photo. We just got it recently we haven't taken any pictures yet lol. Roomba 4358 pets plus a roomba. I think we have an addiction.

We've been wanting a goat for years but never had the space, but now that we've got horses anyway and halfway live at the farm... lol why not? What kind of goats do you have?

They arent registered or anything but they are for 4H and FFA projects. My website is in my signature. If you arent keeping her with your horses then i would recommend getting another or she will be very noisey and lonely and bored. Trust me a bored goat is a trouble maker! Be sure you have good fencing, at least four feet tall, and with no cracks or ways to crawl under. I have had very many a goat escape on me. Peanut my fattest escaped through a hole in the fence the size of a cat. Also i would recommend joining Goatbeat.net Its a very helpful forumn and it can provide you with a ton of information and the people on there are so nice and always ready to help if somthing happens.

Cool, I will do that. We're getting her with her mom, so she won't be alone. Her mother will be registered and all that, so she'll be a breeding goat. We get the baby, our friend will own the mom. and I think we're doing electric fencing for them, since we heard that they are escape artists.

You're going to need about 6 or 7 strands because they can jump high and they can crawl through the tiniest holes. We use no climb horse fencing. We have a pen with 6ft high fence and we are about to fence a pasture with 4ft high and a strand of barbed wire around the top. Having kids around is such a joy you will love having her on your farm. wink

Nice photos. ^-^ You're quite lucky to have a Shire and a Friesian. Both are really great (and great-looking) breeds. And Phantom is quite a handsome kitty. His face certainly lives up to his name. =D Little mask and everything!

And luckily Jehna isn't as dense as her mother. Yes, Phantom is our handsome gentleman. 3nodding Believe it or not, we rescued him from being euthanized for being 'dangerous'. The SPCA figured that any cat that was upset because he'd been in a cat trap was 'dangerous'. I'm sure you can tell by his pictures, he's the sweetest, laziest boy in the world.

She is a pretty girl. She looks like she has very expressive eyes, too. I don't know much about the jerkiness of Friesians. The Friesian/Trakehner mix I knew a while back was an absolute sweetheart. Very underappreciated by his owner. I wish I could've bought him and given him to this one stablehand there whom he just loved and couldn't afford to purchase her own horse yet, but... life doesn't work like that. neutral Bah.
Awuh, poor Phantom kitty. D= The SPCA does some good stuff, but I've noticed that they're a bit rough and raw when it comes to sorting/caring for animals. We just had a spay/neuter program for our feral cats out back with them, and we had to raise a bit of a mess just to get pain meds for the poor things. Looks like things worked out quite well for Phantom, though. Doesn't seem like he's exactly lacking for care.
Ah, and I forgot to mention taht Lee looks like a thinner-faced version of my mother's cat, Hawthorne. Almost exactly the same color.

Hawthorne is a great cat name. If we get another cat I think it will have to be a Rosco.
Yes, Phan gets quite pampered. He's a great cat. Exactly what we needed. We got him when he was two when Lee was still quite young. We needed a cat to teach her manners and he does exactly that. If she gets into trouble he goes and sits on her.
I guess the SPCA has to be a bit rough to get everything done. They have so many come into their care it must be hard to sort them at all.
Too bad about the friesian cross. The friesians I know are just jerks because they're the top of the herd and very pushy about what they want. They're sweet to people, just not the shires and drums they live with.
