True story.

Mom's fault.

. . .

I was hyper as a child.
(What child isn't hyper?)
My mom thought my brain was broken.
There was only one open appointment for an IQ Test
for several months, so she signed me up.
I was very, very ill that day.
I'm talking 103 temperature.
But Sandra Phillips didn't want to wait.
So she took me to get the test anyway.
Guess what? Very low IQ score.

scream BECAUSE I HAD THE FLU, DAMN YOU! scream

So- Mommy stuck me in the Retard class.
For Kindergarten and the 1st Grade.
...
The bus pulled in to my driveway every morning.
And the bus driver buckled me in.
Mommy told me it was because we lived far away from the school.

One fateful day, my sophomore year in high school,
I was showing my best friend some pictures in the living room.
My mother was reading a book on the couch.
Bree: "Why is the bus in your driveway?"
Me: "Oh, we lived far away from the school."
Without any hesitation, my mom looks up and-
"Oh no, it was because you were in Special Ed."
-Like she hadn't been lying to me my whole life-

Best part? I look like the one who belongs.
I'm rockin' the 101 Dalmations sweater.
I'd bet that I was the one who wreaked havoc.

That's horrible. I hope it didn't take them long to realize you were bored to death from being under-stimulated and didn't belong there. D:

Haha, I don't even think I minded.

It was pretty much blocks and painting all day.

What 7-year-old wouldn't dig it?

Actually, I-

OMG.

Hmm interesting. The counselors of my elementary school were considering putting me in special ed. Funny thing is that in a couple years when we actually took tests, I was placed in the 95th percentile in reading, writing, and math. That's where I told my mom "You see? Even as a little 7 year old, I was STILL pwning people with logic."

Not sure I like your usage of the word retard in this particular topic. It's an insulting word nowadays, not a classification of people with special needs. sweatdrop

Why must we always be politically correct?
I mean really, she wasn't saying anything bad
about them at all.

I dunno, something about "beating up the other retarded kids" and laughing about it... stare

It's not about being politically correct, it's about me being offended by her wording. To put it bluntly, it's the difference between, "I need a light for a f**," and "I beat up a f**." Do you see what I'm saying?

Why are taking about setting queers on fire, & beating up cigarettes?

It's the kind of world we live in, man. The cigarettes need to be taught a lesson, and if that lesson comes in the form of a baseball bat to the butt, then by god, that's how we'll teach them.
