So I've read "smut" and "romance novels" since the 7th grade.

These are phases I fall in and out of within the years.

After my third Mariners lose in a row,

I've checked out some Carly Phillips from the library,

and am not going to get any sleep for Relay For Life tomorrow.

(It's a Cancer walk/campout of which I captain team "Relay Rangers".)

Q: What is written in porno magazines? o.0
Are there articles and bios on the women, or somethin'?

(I saw "American Pie" for the first time, and was wondering.)

Discuss: Sex.
In written and all other forms.

I am currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mystery books, and they are very mildly erotic. Hardly anything much, but they are definitely adult books. It is for sure not the focal point of the books though.

Sadly, I try to find books that have as much sex as possible.

In fact, some "adult" books I have found don't do it for me.
Things get "heated", but not enough -and certainly not as often- as I would like.

...

Sometimes I ponder if this is unhealthy.

I just love reading about that deep, raw, sensual sexuality.

Ohhh that stories I have.

But it's not very Gaia friendly.

I am currently reading a book about a prostitute.
Very sex filled, and detailed.

My cousin loves romance novels. @__@ She has a whole bookcase full of them, and I just don't get the draw. I'm not really into the common formula people use to write them, so I just roll my eyes the whole time. xD;

There is always smut that you can find on the internet if you just want to read the sex. Fanfiction and original fiction sites have a s**t ton of smut/PWPs.

@Comfy
I was wondering something. Would you say the books have plot with romance or that the romance is the focal point of the book and the plot revolves around getting Sookie and whoever her love interest together?

Plot with romance, imo.
The plot revolves around the mystery of the ultimate story, and with every book, the author reveals more and more. The romance is just icing on the cake.
She is not as easy to be all "OMG I LOVE YOU BILL LET'S HAVE SEX!" in the books as she is in the show. They aren't engaged, they haven't said I love you (and I am on the third book), and the author has only fleshed out maybe... five times they had sex?

I'm not really interested in reading about it myself. XD;
Maybe I was turned off by some of the really awful "gay sex written by straight women". rolleyes
Anyway reading about something isn't as much fun as doing it.
Although certainly safer if you're not in a relationship. lol

@Rose: I must know what book this is!

@Pain: Perhaps I shall look into that, thank you.

@Szen: Well, I haven't even kissed anyone yet, so...
I will stick with written form for now. Tehe.

Also, I hear they're very unrealistic.
Like, the woman always reaches some "blinding light" orgasm, just from penal stimulation alone.
Which is very rare in women, is it not?

I hope to have a future similiar to this.

But sadly, the fiction is much better than reality.

@Szen
It's apparently gotten a little more realistic in the last few years. XD; Less of pretty much using the exact same romance formula, just making the female role have a p***s, and more of a equal relationship. Probably still not close to accurate though, but not as bad. XD

@Tootsie
Yeah. Most woman need more than penetration to orgasm. And I'm pretty sure it takes woman like 3 times longer to orgasm on average than a man, so xDDD. Or so I have read.

Fiction is probably more perfect and romantic than reality, but I'd imagine actually feeling the emotion and simulation would probably be far better than just reading about it.

Thats only if the guy doesn't know what he's doing, generally speaking the laws of orgasm and climaxing are the same in either male or female. Basically so long as the technique and sensation are good enough.. well we all know what happens no need to go into detail. rofl

Hear, hear xD
Although, as long as you are safe about it, having sex with people you are not in a relationship is fine.

Pain: I think you need to explain that to my b/f then xD
Seriously, his stamina is ridiculous gonk
