Ah ha ha, it's not just FF7 fanart anymore, now I'm posting it on an FF7 account. XD I have no limits, it seems... Anyway! Check it out! I finally made some clothing for my Reno plushie.



My goal was to use the tackiest fabric possible for his trunks. Rude's will be something more serious, like navy blue or black. Whaddya think? =3

I've been thinking about making some clothes for my friend who has two BJDs, but I'm scaaaaaaared.
It looks hard. XD It was hard with my last attempts, but that was a year ago.

The trick is to set your stitch length really short. For dolls, it seems like functionality is less important than the appearance of it. So you don't have to worry about finishing seams or making real pockets. Also, the iron will NOT be your friend the way it is for sewing normal clothing. I burned myself so many times... crying

That helps some.
I'm somewhat worried about sewing sleeves on shirts (because they are going to be so small) and finding ways to make sure the clothes will be able to slide onto the doll.

In my sewing class I learned a neat trick for sleeves. Don't sew it closed, and don't sew the sides of your shirt. Just sew the top of the sleeve to the shoulder of the shirt. Then sew up the side seams and the sleeve-side together. =3 Saves you a step and takes out the "setting" headache.

Aria, it's not a doll for playing with, it's an art doll. The point of them is to put them on display. mrgreen
