I'm not really how to shorten the story, so it's long.
You don't have to read it all.
And if you don't we can talk about old pets and new pets.
How sometimes things can be so ugly they're cute, see the picture.

We have one cat that is currently 11 years old, Abigail.
We had her when we lived in New York, with had 6 cats and a dog.
We brought 3 of the cats and the dog with is to California.
2 of the cats and the dog passed away cause they were all really old.
(We moved to CA 10 years ago)
7 years ago we got our big dog Sierra, Abigail loved her.
I say big dog because she's a Pointer mix, about 70 or so pounds.
She loved our other god, they were best friends.
About 4 or 5 years ago we got my cat, Shadow.
Abigail hated her.
In December my mom brought home another cat, Sky.
At this point Abigail just ignores this cat.
I like to pretend she an old women saying, "I'm too old for this s**t."
Shadow hates Sky
A month ago we moved houses, none of the cats were happy about the move.
The dog is though, we now have 6 acres of land for her to run around.
And btw, all the cats get along with Sierra, they love her.
(Oh, and all the animals are female.)
The cats have gotten use to the place and seem to be content with it.
Since we have all this land my parents wanted to get another dog.
We went looking at the local rescue.
It's pretty clear that we needed to get a small dog.
Our dog Sierra is very alpha, she doesn't like dogs her size.
While at the rescue we looked at the cats, the kittens.
And we chose to adopt one.
We haven't named him yet, or even taken him home, he has to be fixed first.
My parents did choose a dog and brought him home a couple of days ago.
He's about 2 years old, we think he's a shitzu mix, his name is Jack.
The rescue got him from the shelter about 2 months ago.
About a week before he was going to be put down.
We're not sure how he lost his eye or how he ended up at the shelter.
But he knows how to sit and stay, and when he was groomed he knew what to do.
He's so ugly he's cute!!!
So he was owned be someone before, I'm glad we saved him.
(btw: Jack and the new cat are both boys.)
Sierra doesn't mind him, she isn't happy but we thought she would be worse.
The cats aren't happy at all about the dog.
They haven't left the upper floor for 3 days.
They won't come down for food.
Abigail is peeing on my dads things to show her displeasure.
She is my dads cat, she owns him, which is why she is pissed at him.
In probably the next week we are going to bring home the new cat.
My predictions are:
The new kitten is going to be buddies with Jack.
Sierra will like the kitten, she loves that kittens are playful.
The older cats are going to hate me and my parents for a couple of months.
