I don't get it. Do they give me gold or am I wasting my time?

The achievement points have no real purpose yet, but they might be later on used to give us gold and items, or something of the sort.

the new member have to keep doing achievements until they reach citizen achievement, then they can go on zomg and join guilds..... personally i think its stupid... confused
