Nailed to the door at eye-level, at least eye-level for the dweller, is a strangely well crafted sign. It appears to have been made out of oak, its edges smooth but rectangular, and it has been given a nice shine. Carved neatly into it in dark painted letters is the following:

Faction/Race Tentacle Monster

Personality: Grier is all too aware of his size and he uses it to his advantage. He is a classic school yard jock and bully: he joins all the sports teams that allow him to get physical (Dodgeball is by far his favorite followed by football) and when he isn't practicing (or well, when he is..) he's throwing around his weight and tossing aside the weaker monsters. His favorite forms of abuse are locking nerds in lockers (especially if they're full!) and giving them swirlies. He's not above going a bit further than that though if he can get away with it. As a bully he likes to surround himself with more ignorant creatures to help him terrorize their peers and to take the heat off of him if anything goes down.

Grier is not a straight A student. He's not what you'd call slow minded, but he certainly doesn't qualify for the dean's list. His intelligence will sometimes come into question, and the only thing he has ever shown an interest in before besides physically harming others is the creation of objects and, well, destroying them afterward. You might call him a tinkerer and that's not too far from the truth.

One thing that can be said about Grier, at least one positive thing, is that he has a lot of school spirit. He'd be the first one to howl at the moon or steal the opposing school's mascot in keeping with tradition. If there's a varsity jacket when (if) he graduates, chances are there will be a lot of badges on it.

There are several things that this beast cannot stand. People who are smarter than him for obvious reasons; who likes to know they're dumb? Anyone who can physically overpower him is something that greatly upsets him if only because he puts so much stock into his strength, so being overthrown in that department is humiliating. Other dislikes include vanity, which is likely due to the fact that, well, he's ugly, and naturally wimpy people, though his focus is generally always and only other males. He believes in the last case that he is "toughening" them up. He often uses that as his excuse for bullying.


Why did they enroll at the academy? Grier enrolled in the academy to become a great monster in the human world. He knows he has the right stuff: the looks and the ability to induce the fear in them. He wants to become one that hits the books, a legend to be told throughout generations; he wants to be the next Boogeyman.

Along the line of school activities, he is also looking to join any after school program or sports team that will allow him to act out his aggression. This includes dodgeball, football, soccer, and he's been known to play a little basketball too. If a shop class happens to exist he may even be interested in that.


Fear: Grier's fear is fairly simple. Four tentacles that sprout from his back. They are prehensile, very strong, and are lined with sharp hook like teeth (think of the Dungeons and Dragons' Displacer Beasts). However, they have a very short grabbing range. Stretching from his back they have a length of five feet meaning he has to get in close in order to make use of them.

His species ability due to being a monster is to grow a bit larger (at a normal 6'2" he will increase to almost 7') in height and strength.

The emblem of the monster is mostly black with three green tentacles in it; they are green and appear to be lined with what might be suckers but in actuality are teeth.

Acquaintances


Calls herself a Gorgon. Never seen one before her, but man is she hot. She's gotta wear sunglasses though; something about her eyes turning monsters to stone or something like that. Man, don't matter to me. She's a FEARleader and has said she'll come check me out when the football team gets assembled. Really hoping to see her around campus, and maybe have classes together.

Some kind of feather brained half breed who was in my way. b***h wouldn't move, but I happened to notice his locker was very dirty so I gave him a hand by shoving him inside it. It'll make deep cleaning easier.
