Arel wondered for just a brief second if this was the same student that the gnome janitors had vacuumed up the other day, claiming that 'They didn't see it, and it was wandering close to the school proximity anyway'.

Eh, well she obviously got free otherwise this application form wouldn't be here. He stamped it, entirely forgetting about the other students that were still trapped in the vacuums.

AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

Name: Moriko Mai
Nicknames: Mai
Gender: Female
Age: She looks to be about 16-17ish

Faction/Race Ghost / Wisp

Personality: Mai is supremely lazy. Not having the typical mortal imperitive to eat/sleep/breed before a looming expiration date really opens up your day for some proper lounging. All of her movements are slow and calculated for optimal energy conservation. Just about the only thing that stirs her from this constant lethargy is her fixation for mortal warmth. Nothing is more attractive to Mai than a warm body, but long years of experience have taught her that randomly draping oneself accross a warm-blooded stranger will likely earn one a nice kick to the face. She does her best to be discreet about her warmth mongering, but more often she just comes off as being weird and faaaaar too friendly. Mai is that person that stands way to close to you when you're in line for something, or the one that chooses to sit right up against you when there are plenty of seats to be had elsewhere, or even that friend of yours who loves to hold hands and cuddle during sleepovers... >>;

In general, Mai is probably pretty good company as far as ghosts go. Despite her mostly low energy level, she's a friendly sort. Her likes include: snuggling warm bodies (and whatever that might lead to), lazing around, poking random things, green apples (she doesn't eat them, she just thinks they're keen). Her dislikes include: being rushed or being forcibly removed from a warm body.


Why did they enroll at the academy? Before deciding to attend the academy, Mai was bound as a minor summoned spirit to a noble demon and lived a fairly comfortable unlife. Regrettably, she never bothered to progress very far with her own abilities and the owner of her contract eventually lost interest in the little one trick pony. She was summoned one day and summarily dismissed from employ, her contract burnt to ash.

Unfortunately for Mai, the demon didn't bother to dispell the summoing seal from her forehead before booting her off his property. This left Mai to wander Halloween Town aimlessly for a while, compelled to do something, but no contract owner to direct her focus.

It didn't take Mai long to waft her way over to Amityville High, a place bustling with warmth and magic. It occured to her (slowly, of course) that she might just learn something useful if she enrolled. Perhaps she might learn to better control her FEAR, make herself a more attractive prospect for summoning, or hell she might just become powerful enough to earn her own way to eternal comfort (as long as it didn't require too much energy), and it would be nice if she could learn how to dispel her compulsion, because dammit it was difficult to relax when you constantly felt like there was something that you RLY RLY had to accomplish with NO IDEA what that something was... Also, there really was such an alluring amount of warm bodies moving around in such close proximity..


Fear: In addition to the usual abilities attributed to her kind, Mai also has an affinity to ghost fire. One particular little hitodama seems to follow her about constantly, her perpetual companion. She is able to ignite the little wisp into a shielding wall of ghost fire for a short period of time. Afterwards, the wisp will vanish temporarily in exhaustion. There have also been occassions where the shielding wall has backfired quite dramatically, exploding into a poof and leaving Mai stunned for several seconds.

Probably due to her affinity to ghost fire, Mai tends to attract little hitodama wherever she goes. The spirit lights linger near her but always disperse after a time, leaving just the one faithful little wisp.


Physical Description: Slender, average height, nice rack. >3>;
Eye Colour: Vivid cerulean w/ black scelera. She wears electric blue eyeshadow at the corners of her eyes.
Hair Colour/Style: White, stick straight until the tips where it curls a bit. Calf length. I can't think of a way to describe her hair style legibly, please see references XD;
Skin Colour: White with blue undertones.
Clothing Style/Colours: She favors black, white and cerulean/electric blue. She likes to mix traditional Japanese clothing with more modern styles. Skulls and spikes are pretty awesome too.
Extra: She has a tattered paper seal stuck to her forehead. Kind of a long strip, hangs past her chin.

Mai has quite the assortment of pets residing in her dorm room. She does, however, have a few favorites that she pampers and takes with her on walks about the campus.
