The Acceptance Bin lay on it's side, weakly trying to the dislodge feathers from the last application, as Hellma stalk back and forth. "Chew for longer time, I tell you! But no, and now you look at you! Foolish creature! Don't you know the taste of death?!" She paused a moment, "Well...you do now, yes?"

Only a sad wheezing pant could be heard from the Bin. The professor rolled her eyes and went to dial the nurses office. "Cricket...yes, now! It is...well, no not an emergency, but a matter of extreme inconvenience. My inconvenience, understood?"

Personality:

o Batshit crazy. :: Crazy. We has it. Youd' have it too if you saw nothing but death/misfortune when you look to the future. Traditionally, Raums are known for bringing with them great sorrow and cataclysmic events. Not because they MEAN to, but they have a tendency to let people know ahead of time in a warning. Years upon YEARS of this onslaught of visions has done a few things to Braum.

First and foremost, because of the sheer amount of gore in his visions, he's grown to love it and adapt, though that might be the crow in him talking too. For more details, see the next blurb.

Secondly, it's made him very disoriented. He never knows if he's talking to the REAL you, or if he's seeing a future you and getting a warning he's supposed to be passing onto you. So he'll pick apart what you say and seem eternally confused, amused, or just plain random.

Thirdly, it's made it very hard for him to make lasting bonds. Because of the disorientation of time, and the frequent use of toxins to SUPPRESS his visions, he has bursts of emotional outrage. Not in the 'RAWR BRAUM IS ANGRY' type of outrage. More of a 'who are you? why do YOU matter? you're just going to grow old, and alone, before you shoot yourself in the mouth to end it all, and THAT my friend.........is a very bad waste of a tasty brain.'

o That, children, is called Cannibalism, and is highly frowned upon in most societies. :: His parents went to the human world for one thing and one thing only. To hunt. After terrifying a human by telling them what horrific way they would die, they'd follow them and silently collect the body to bring home after the future played itself out.

This nonchalance about eating raw and decaying flesh coupled with his innate psychosis, makes Braum for a very strange boy. His mother wasn't a very loving creature, and flew the coop soon after he turned five. His father was all about claiming the most victims and terrifying the most souls, so there was little warmth in the household. That is until Braum realized that someone's innards freshly spilled were QUITE warm to the touch. Thus started his collection/affectionate cuddling with internal organs.

If someone he cared for ever died, he'd probably keep some of their organs in formaldehyde for constant snuggling later. Or he might just ingest you, one never knows since he's not beyond picking apart some poor corpse on the side of the road.

o I CAN HAS A CRACKER!?!? o Ao :: Braum also has a naturally short attention span unless a subject is INSANELY FASCINATING. Like. It has to be crazy cool to interest him for extended periods of time. Since his natural form that he can shift to at will is that of a larger than average crow, he has a crows' disposition to be distracted, sometimes by something as simple as a cracker, or maybe just that pretty little crow sitting on the schoolyard fence that has been FLAUNTING those godawful sexy breast feathers at him in public. o Ao

A severe lack of personal space comes with the territory as well, since as a crow he can sit on your shoulder like a pet, and sees no difference as to why he can't when he assumes a more contemporary demonic form.

Also because of the predominant bird mentality, he has a rutting season, in which he will be very confrontational/territorial around other males. Do not be surprised if you see him flirting with random birds and screeching/cackling at girls he likes instead of a traditional wolf whistle.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Simply put, Braum's father Bartimaeus wants his little fledgling to learn to control his future sight on his own, without the use of toxins/drugs. He'd also be proud as a peacock if the boy managed to make a name for himself like Bartimaeus has as a 'Herald of Death', which is the greatest compliment a Raum can receive.

FEAR:
'Lovers'-- strikes his opponent completely besotted with either him, or with the object of their ACTUAL affection. So much so they'd go into a daze and not even remember they were in a battle, and just be daydreaming about how wonderful their crush is.
o This is mostly a distraction card so he doesn't get hurt, because Braum's wings are very fragile.

Eight of Swords -- This is an offensive trap card. Swords materialize and surround his opponent, so even breaking the spell would be physically damaging.
o Though it CAN be overpowered by strength alone, especially since Braum would be a little shaken that someone would so easily damage their body, if not slightly intruiged/excited by the blood it would cause.

Page of Penticles. -- Usually it just brings a 'change', but for Braum's purposes, he takes it literally in a change of HEALTH. His opponent will become sick, and their defenses will lower. This would really only require Braum to scratch someone with his talons. Because he handles decaying flesh in an affectionate way all the time, he has lots of post-necrosis germs on his hands. All he'd have to do it put his hands on a cut if you have it to make you sick.
