She had pretty much fallen silent since they went through the gates and it into the country. That wasn't to say she was inactive. The landscape around them was teeming with her scouts, as far out as her control would let her. She was receiving a constant flow of information from her bugs, as she let it filter through, only really watching for irregularities as she thought heavily on her bugs reproductive processes, altering her pulses of chakra inside hee body to put those remaining into a reproductive cycle.

[･･･] Inka blinked and raised an eyebrow. "You... believe the sun rises in the North? Does the Academy not teach basic survival skills anymore." The last sentence was muttered mostly to himself, concern evident on his features. With a sigh, Inka shook his head and began to walk away, taking a calm pace as he headed off the road and towards their destination - North. His path took them into trees twisting from stones, with a bed of moss sprawling into the distance. "So," He called out to Roxas, not bothering to turn his head. "If you knew North is where the sun rises, why bother with a map?" He questioned the younger male.

Taylor winced behind the barrier to the outside world that was her mask. She was pretty sure that north wasnt the way that the sun rose in the mornings. That being said she didnt have much of a sense of direction herself without taking the time to seek out local flora. So she simply followed her sensei in silence, thinking to herself about various things as they walked.
As they past a broken branch on the side of the paths she leaned over to her left and scooped up a thin and short portion of the wood, not breaking stride and continuing with the group. She lopped off the ragged ends with her kunai and worked to make sure the wood was at least free of sharp bits. Then she would have kikkai bugs, a cluster of three of them come out and start circling the piece of wood, laying out non sticky silk in a braid as they wrapped it around the center piece of her spool. This bit of thread would be quite strong. She would have these worker bugs go on autopilot as they walked, continuing to lay it out for a long while so she would have a length that was workable in case she needed it.
A quick thought made her bring her bugs a little closer to them and pack them more densely in a moving circle around them. It was still a respectable distance off but it would now be much more difficult for a skilled acrobat to navigate through without disturbing multiple bugs and alerting the pensive girl as they walked toward their destination.
Taylor was getting a little ahead of the group at this point, and she watched the sun starting to set. Stopping in the road she turned her head slightly toward her teammates and spoke. "Suns going down. Unless we are on a very tight schedule I will start making camp." She said just loud enough to be heard as she moved off into the woods a short way; far enough to not be heard from the road but close enough that it wouldnt be a chore to find it once more. Her bugs dispersed into the undergrowth and the trees, taking up residence in nearly every piece of foliage available. She was pleased that her hive was starting to reproduce as well. That would mean that she would be able to replenish her bugs if need be at a very rapid pace. But they weren't quite there yet. A few more eventful breakthroughs from her and she was confident that she could figure it out.
She first decided to help her squadmate gather up some pine straw to make a bed that wouldnt let his body heat be whisked away into the ground. Most people thought that the first thing needing to be built in a survival situation was a roof over your head. The problem with that thought is that the hard cold ground will suck away your body heat faster than winds will in a lot of cases. Besides, you can build a roof after you make a bed like buffer between yourself and the ground. When she had enough that she was satisfied that he could make himself a good bed she would stop, satisfied with the material. It only occurred to her after that he might have a sleeping bag. Which brought her immediately to her next thought.
She tried to remember some of the teachings of her clan in the meantime, specifically a hammock type thing that her stepfather had made at one point. It was a cocoon type thing that would allow for her to be above the normal sight lines. If she knew one thing from hiding from bullies it was that humans didnt typically look up when wandering around trying to find you. She scaled a tree up into the canopy and found herself some suitable looking space and had her bugs fly around her in a wide path, layering their silk against a thin membrane of chakra so it would hold its shape but not be super constricting either. Her bed would be here. She slipped deeper into the cocoon and started to slide off her battle suit, mostly to let her skin breathe. It wasnt like she was indecent underneath anyway. She had on some stretch shorts and a tanktop.
With herself tucked in nice and warm into the bag, she took off her remaining gear and shut her eyes and focused on her bugs. Tiny pinpoints of light in her conciousness. In fact if she positioned them right, she could somewhat map out the area just from focusing on their locations. It would take more effort to get anything fine detailed but she was quite happy with the thoughts. She searched from bug to bug in a rapid manner to find her sensei. When she eventually found him, she had a bug jump onto him as he was passing some roughage, hiding itself inside of one of his pouches. After she commanded it to stay there for pretty much the duration of its life, she would have the insect live off of him using micro draws of chakra, once every so many days to sustain the single tiny insect. She doubted it would even be noticed until it died. But in doing this, she had a way to find her sensei if need be, something she was grateful to have. She did the same thing shortly after for her teammate, Roxas, settling it within his hair and having it remain perfectly still. It was only after this that she relaxed. She liked a certain kind of order when she was in unfamiliar territory, and being able to find both of her teammates just by shutting her eyes did wonders for her mental stress. She made sure that her cocoon was completely sealed and watched her group through her sleeping bag of sorts, being able to see through the membrane from inside it but being concealed from the outside.

[･･･] Inka hummed, red eyes gleaming with a playful smirk on his thin lips. "Only if you can find a landmark. Or recognise geographical formations." He was waiting ahead of his students, half hidden amongst the thickening foliage. As they reached his location the Jounin would simply signal them to take point once more, his hand taking a moment to give an encouraging pat on Roxas' shoulder. From then on, Inka went quiet, evaluating his students as much as their surroundings. Inka made no move or word to disagree with Taylor's suggestion to make camp.
"I'll set a perimeter and maintain watch. I need you two at your best. We should be getting close." With that, Inka moved into the shadows, aiming to look around their immediate area for any signs of human traffic passing through before he would return to take watch.

The young girl was fast asleep in her little cocoon, swaying with the limbs in the trees. She wouldn't wake up for a few hours. Her sleep was dreamless, and she was grateful for that. It meant no nightmares to set off her nerves. She woke up to a familiar voice speaking to her. She smiled looking up at the shadows in the trees. It was tattletale, resting and blending into the background of the canopy. A massive bolas spider that she had befriended, now functioned as her companion. She and the spider sat near each other in silence, enjoying the odd company that was the sounds of nature.
The hardest part about owning spiders of this size was simply getting them the nutrition they needed. Her family would disown her for doing so the way that she was thinking of now. She had an entire colony breeding as they sat there, finally getting the hang of kicking their reproductive cycles into overdrive with her chakra. The girl shut her eyes and sent the entire hive minus the breeding pairs to feed the massive spider, making sure that she had the nutrients that she needed to sustain herself. She immediately started their next breeding cycle to replenish her internal stores.
After the feeding was over, she pushed her consciousnesses outwards to check each of her bugs along their parameter. She found nothing but a few snakes and birds. She could collect them if she wished, food for the group. But to not draw attention to herself, or lose further insects, she decided the food that they packed would be enough for the time being. So while she kept watch, she would consume one of her ration bars and quietly bond with her spider tattletale some more.

[･･･] Inka stayed true to his word and kept watch for the entire night. After he had scoured around their immediate vacinity, he moved outwards, continuing on to the North until he found a ridge, perched high enough to give his eyes some extra distance over the terrain. Even under cover of darkness, he could still see the pitch-black of the ocean, deceptive in appearing still. He stayed on the ridge for a short while longer, until his anxiety pushed him to return to the young genin. He couldn't trust this area, nor himself to keep them safe. He wasn't a sensor, nor particularly fast. So he only felt secure while keeping his eyes on the target. Before sunlight even began to peek of the horizon, Inka was rousing the Genin with gentle words and the rustle of a wrapper for a protein cake.
"Hope you're rested," He mumbled softly. Despite the roughness of his accent, he still had the decency to keep his mouth closed while chewing his light breakfast. "Cause we got ground to chew up. C'mon." Inka waited, motioning that he was going to follow his Genin, once they started.

Taylor had been up for a few hours before her sensei called for everyone to group up and move out again. She tilted her head inside her cocoon to look down at him and sighed as she started to pull on clothing for the day. After stuffing her clothes from yesterday into her bag; she would pull on her armored suit and cut a slit in the top of the cocoon to climb out of. The air felt cold to her when she popped out. She rubbed her arms a brief moment to try and warm herself up; realizing it wasnt that the area was cold, but that little cocoon of hers kept in the heat very well. She made a quick and silent command to her hidden spider in the canopy, which spun a single thin and transparent strand of silk which she attached to her lower back as she descended the tree. The nearly silent commands to the arachnid was to follow her at a distance that wouldnt alert anyone to her presence, and to stay hidden.
As she reached the ground, she sent a command to her kikkaichu swarm to move over the gathered material and previous nights bedding, and sent them a single lasting command to devour it and then to disperse into the woods, starting yet another breeding cycle to replenish them as she moved up to her team. "Good to go. Camps dealt with." She said calmly from behind her mask. She started to wonder how much it would take to change her voice with a device inside the mandibles of the mask itself.

[･･･] Red eyes blinked at the cocoon, envying the warmth such a natural bedding it would have been. Except the thought of having his head under the... blanket, wrap, whatever, wouldn't have sat well with him for long. Fresh air to the face, thank you. "We'll be reaching open land soon, getting closer to the ocean. So keep to cover, or stay low. Dunno how long this rocky turf will last."

Taylor followed right behind her sensei, letting the line trail behind her and focusing on the regeneration of her bugs. For the time being she would let the more experianced watch for any trouble. At least until her hive had been regenerated.
