The only issue was Shiin wasn't in charge; Unki, the current ranking ninja, was. She'd have to get the word to investigate... unless... ah perfect! The foreman began to run after the miner further into the cave. Shion looked back to Unki and motioned her head to follow the Foreman, takingoff after the two immediately afterwards.
Sure, things weren't allowed to be easy. Something had to turn to ' out of ordinary' status. Unki followed Shion and hurried to close the gap between then. With luck, this out of the ordinary thing was something valuable and worth hauling back to the kumogakure.

As the girls rushed in after the foreman, the sound of what almost sounded like screaming could be heard. However the farther into the shaft they went it would soon be revealed that it was in fact not screaming, but instead. Cheering and laughter. When the girls reached the rest of the miners two of them pointed to a crystal clear line in the rocks. To which the foreman turned to the girls and shouted"DIAMOND!"
Diamonds? That's what all the noise way about? Where were the monsters? The rabbid beasts? Where was Shion's fight! This was certainly cause for celebrati9n, but all that would be heard from Shion was a very sarcastic "oh... joy..." accompanied by an eye-roll.
She wouldn't admit relief but would certainly admit this visit was a lucky one, as hoped. The miners were happy and that made Unki happy. The surprise was clear on her face. She wasn't a diamond loving girl but the value of a diamond was always glorified back in Aya. A glance at Shion revealed to Unki she must have been hoping for more excitement of a different nature. Adrenaline! Any further work could insight adrenaline, though. What if they had to escort the diamonds home? What if something nefarious was ahead on the path home?
"Can't doubt that the miners won't be all over this hoard like white on rice. Maybe we'll be put on watch duty until they've had their fun?" It was unclear if they were to continue hauling minerals or assume a defensive watch in light of this sparkling find.

No one knew about this mine other than the present company, and Shion was sure the Kage would place more competent guards to watch over such a valuable asset than Kumo's very own "most likely to blow the mission". Shion stretched her arms into the air and let out a deep breath before responding to Unki, "Yeah... well we cant be put on guard duty if Shiro doesn't know about the mine. We should go report. Our job is done here." Shion then turned away from the mine and began on that path back to Kumo. Whether Unki would follow or not was up to her. [exit]
In the grand scheme, Shion was right about essentially everything she just said. Unki couldn't stay behind without risking another angry face from Shiro. She turned her head and stuck her tongue out at... nothing... before following after to head home. [Exit to Kumogakure Village gates}
