Ekos took a deep breath as he braced himself for the largest leap in his life. He was going to approach the Hokage and tell him exactly what he wanted to do. With energy in his eyes, he rushed in towards the door he knew would further his dream. A peaceful life. He nearly rammed into the door with how he tried to knock but he still knocked all the same. Realizing just how loud that may have been, he backed away with an embarrassed look on his face.
Dark green eyes look up to the open doorway, temporarily abandoning the paperwork he was attempting to slog through. "Come in." Shi speaks, the lower half of his face covered by a mask but not quite disturbing the clarity of his words. Leaning back in the chair and folding his hands in his lap, the Acting Hokage regarded the young man with a calm air. "How may I help you?" He asks.

Upon hearing Shi speak, he paused. Ekos spends a second to compose himself. One deep breath in, one slow breath out. He didn't hype himself the entire morning just to back down now. With renewed confidence, he walks in only stopping once he is right in front of Shi's desk. "I'd like to request your permission to begin training further down my path of a shinobi."
With a small trill, Shi regarded the Genin standing before him, recognising the face but still choosing to prompt a name. "A recent graduate?" He asked, believing he had seen the young man's face as a picture clipped to the front of one of many folders stacked at the side of the kage's desk. "What's your name?"

With a small nod to show he had heard the eager declaration of a names, gloved hands deftly flickering through the pile of folders seated at the edge of the desk before plucking out one that had Ekos' name and photo on the front. "Ekos Cinra," The Acting Hokage repeated with a small trill. "Above excellent skill set with Genjutsu," he read. "But below average in terms of physical skills." He paused, emitting another small note of contemplation. "What career where you thinking of pursuing?" She questioned, dark green eyes turning up from the folder to regard the young man in question instead.

A young boy of slight build stands outside the Hokage's office, beside a man of medium stature who nonetheless carries a weighty presence. The boy and his father are both dressed in clothing which denotes their profession - traditional keikogi are tucked into long, flowing hakama trousers, and upon each of their hips are their respective weapons. The man carries two steel swords of different lengths, and the boy carries a sleek bokken made of polished oak.
"We are meeting with the Hokage," the man explains to his son. "He is the leader of this village, and will facilitate your entry into the shinobi academy. Remember to show your respect." The boy nods, peering nervously inside the open door of the office while the pair of them wait to be addressed and allowed to enter.
Ekos let out a nervous laugh as his weaknesses were brought up. "Well... I'd like to provide support for the village as well as provide teams with someone who knows the inner workings of genjutsu." His face brightens as his nervous thoughts fade. "I think I'd make a fine shinobi and amazing team member even if my physical skills are subpar."
With a small trill, Shi continued speaking after hearing Ekos speak. "So would you prefer to work as a trainer within the village? I can see you excelling in the TI Department. The Toture and Interrogation Department." He clarified. "But if you'd prefer to work with a team on missions outside the village, you'll need to build yourself up with team-members to keep them, and yourself, safe." He explained. "The former would most likely take your specialty to a far greater degree, but the later would push your other limits more. Either way," He leaned back in the Hokage's chair. "I look forward to seeing how you grow." At that, the Acting Kage leaned over the side of the chair, picking something up from a box set near the feet of desk before straightening back up. Holding out his gloved hand, Shi revealed a headband - newly minted and freshly made. "You don't need to make you decision now. Welcome to the Shinobi forces." He states, calm and almost casual.
Once Ekos was squared away, Shi would call for the individual peering into the door to step over.

The father and son pair wait until the youth with the highlighted hair is finished with his business, before stepping inside the Hokage's office. When the father bows his head to the Hokage, the boy follows suit, his eyes bouncing between the two men when his head rises.
"My name is Ishihara Yosuke, and this is my son, Takeo. His mother is of the Senju clan, and we have recently taken residence here in the village. I am told that there is an academy for shinobi here in Konohagakure, and I have come to humbly request my son's enrollment in the program... if it pleases Hokage-dono," he says, with another bow of his head.
Takeo stands with quiet apprehension, his left hand resting loosely on the handle of his bokken while his eyes dart back and forth. A nervous bead of sweat rolls down the back of his neck.
Shi would nod his head in return to Ishihara's bow, listening attentively as the man brings his son to the forefront of the conversation, requesting him admittance to the Academy. Forest-green eyes stare at the boy, unblinking for a long few seconds before the low noise of Shi's often-heard trill resonates from the back of his throat.
"Of course." She replies, the corners of his eyes crinkling up as if the face behind the mask was smiling. "Takeo Yosuke, of the Senju clan. I'll send word to the Academy to expect a new student. They'll evaluate you themselves there, and you'll be given your courses." He pauses, briefly, eyes unblinking. "I am only the Acting Hokage, so need to be so formal. Shi Akatoki. Pleasure to meet you both and welcome to Konohagakure. I hope you can come to call this village your home."

Syy was...lost. Unsurprisingly, he had trouble remembering things and the address on the note he was given was minimalistic to a devasting degree. He didn't even know what building he was supposed to be looking for. Letting out a huff, his cheeks puffing and then deflating, Syy leaned against the side of a building. A lot had happened in a short period of time but it felt like days and months had passed. Again, not that he could count on his ability to tell time. His hands came to his face and he pushed against his skin before his fingers dragged through his hair, unravelling some of his braid. In truth, the housing thing wasn't urgent. But Syy had felt like he needed to leave Inka to his own mind. A lot had been discussed but it still felt like a lot was unresolved though I don't think he'll talk to me. Not that I blame him. he slid down to sit, just resting. The leftover foods and tea in the bag around his wrist clunked sadly on the ground "I'm just not very good at this anymore." he sighed, unsure what 'this' was but fairly sure he wasn't very good at whatever it was.

A passing office worker takes pity on the very lost Syy and takes him to the Konohagakure housing commission. His paperwork complete, Syy leaves the area to find his dog and maybe read something.
