Shikatsu looked at his arm, turning it over and clenching his fist. He could see that the wound was healed nicely and the pain suppression was a success. "Very good." He looked at him and smirked. "I saw that look by the way. You were questioning me hurting myself after I told you not too, weren't you." He said knowing full well it was. Years of analyzing people made reading such simple motions quite easy.

⥏❀⥑ Tsu appeared to glow a little at the praise and his smile didn't fade even as he accepted the comment on the look he had given Nara-san "I was." he admitted it freely, holding Nara-san's gaze as he continued "Violence doesn't care how experienced one is. Knowing pain and injury is important. It helps us to understand our patients." Tsu respected Nara-san already. He knew that his experience was paramount and that he would learn more than he could possible hope from the older shinobi. But... "Experience should be shared...even if it's painful." he bit his lower lip, not sure if talking back was a good thing or not. Not to mention, he wasn't sure if his comments even made sense.

⥏❀⥑ Tsu smiled serenely the in the face of the stern look, clearly unbothered but also respectful of Nara-san's words "I agree. But I don't think either of us should be placed under undue violence without at first discussing it." he bent down and allowed Koko to race up his arm as Nara-san pulled the large scroll out. Straightening, he tickled her under her chin "We may not be equals since I'm your student but...I'd at least like to have a say in whether my sensei gets hurt or not when I'm learning." he looked a little crestfallen as he said that, clearly holding a bit of guilt. He wanted to save people. If Nara-san got hurt in the process of his learning...then he was suffering. Which meant...Tsu was failing to save him from harm. Koko stuck her nose in his ear making him flinch and he gently directed her nose away, waiting.

With a sigh he nodded, knowing that Tsu wasn't going to budge on this. He had not know him long, but he saw a lot of his younger self in Tsu so he knew 2 things. HE would not budge once he made up his mind, and he was going to be trouble for him in the future. This however got him thinking. 'Future'..... He turned to Tsu again. "Very well then, I can honor that request. So, I have 2 questions for you. For starters, before I put them away, did you want to practice more on them? And also, would you like me to request to be made your actual sensei?" He asked this question calmly and watched for his reaction. This wasn't the normal way to have things done, but Shikatsu believed he would be best for the position here.

⥏❀⥑ Seeing Nara-san accepted his words, Tsu felt...understood. It was a first. Most times people got tired or angry at him, at his stubbornness. His parents understood him a bit, allowing him to work through things so that he could learn from them. But they didn't exactly get it. Koko chirped at him which woke Mushi who promptly made a very distinct noise, causing Tsu to look down before answering the first question "I think I should probably wait to do more practice. If I can do missions and get better, then I can learn more as well as practice what I already know. And Koko and Mushi need to have their lunch." he smiled a bit, reaching down as Mushi stretched up on him and rubbing the badger's wet nose gently.
His head jerked up as Nara-san asked if he wanted to be Tsu's official sensei. He...didn't know. He wanted to say yes right away but what if Nara-san got annoyed by him? Most of the academy teachers had, even after they said they would help him. He didn't want to cause Nara-san to be annoyed at him and not want to teach him anymore "Uhm." he paused, his anxiety clear "I would very much like that. But...it won't be a bother, will it?"

Shikatsu looked at Tsu, surprised by his answer. "If it were a bother, why would I have offered in the first place?" He asked rhetorically and didn't give him time to try to answer. "Then I will go to the Hokage and get this taken care of. I can see great things coming from you Tsu, with a bit more training and fine tuning you'll be an outstanding medic yet." He said this as he placed his hand on his head, and a sincere smile across his face.

⥏❀⥑ Tsu smiled a little bashful at the response he got. It was clearly a rhetorical question but...oh well. He brushed the thought from his mind and scooped Mushi up, holding the badger as best he could "Thank you, Nara-san!" he grinned widely as Nara-san praised him and commented on his potential. It was nice to hear it from someone other than his parents. He bowed, eliciting a grumble from Mushi and a squeak from Koko before he straightened "I should take them home now." he said sheepishly, aware that he had put off feeding them at the right time in favor of training "I'll return to do missions around the hospital later." with another short bow, Tsu left, feeling much lighter than he had when he had come to the hospital earlier.

Shikatsu watched as his new student left and pondered just how to ask the Hokage for this request. He'd figure it out while he walked there. Thinking about what needed to be done more he realized he had other things he needed to do as well. With a sigh he quickly fixed up the bodies and sealed them within the scroll. After this he went and made a shadow clone to go and talk to the hokage while he went on to do other things. (Exit to academy and hokage's office.)

He was going to drive himself crazy.
Sev gasped as a heavy file was dropped onto his chest, causing the Raigyo to bolt upright, clinging to the piece of plastic like it was his only lifeline. Tired, dark-circle lined eyes glared daggers at his assailant-- one of the nurses from his ward. The male nurse gave him a look, then continued on his way, and the medic had to hold back the urge to chuck the chart at the back of his head as he went.
With a grumble, Sev flipped through the chart and began to walk down the hall, snagging up a nearby lukewarm coffee he had abandoned some time ago. There would be time to mull, and torture himself, over Inka later. For now, he had patients. With the recent downtrend of his reputation amongst the nurses, he had been put in a tough spot.
Apparently, even if you told people you weren't looking for anything serious, they still wanted something serious.

⥏❀⥑ Having returned Koko home and grabbed snacks for himself and Mushi from his mother, Tsu had returned to the hospital. Sitting outside with Mushi, he fed the badger from a small metal tin that contained a mix of earthworms, persimmons, blue and black berries, and a variety of sunflower seeds and nuts. Tsu's lunch wasn't much different. A mix of berries and nuts in a honey yogurt, with slices of cinnamon bread and some dried meat for protein I can't keep bothering sensei for experience. So I should try to find a mentor to teach me how to deal with patients in person. he thought, nibbling on a strip of meat as Mushi settled down to clean his face. The badger ran his hands over his snout and then licked them clean, careful to keep his fur neat "Mushi, do you feel up to doing some more learning?" he asked, receiving nothing but a disinterested snort in reply. But the badger's tail had started to wiggle, indicating excitement and Tsu smiled as he put the top back on his lunch "Okay! Let's go find another mentor."
After stowing his lunch and Mushi's in his bag, Tsu entered the hospital with Mushi close to his side. First stop, a bathroom to clean both his hands and wash his face, as well as cleaning Mushi's fur of any leaves or grass and touching up his paws so that they were sanitized. Checking himself in the mirror, Tsu anxiously pulled at piece of his cotton candy pink hair and tugged his long sleeve shirt into place I don't have any official medical clothing. I hope that's okay. leaving the bathroom, Tsu went up to the reception desk "Hello! I was here earlier." he started, aware that the person he was speaking to was different than before "I'm a new genin and I'd like to be of assistance so I can get experience. Is there a medic who would be willing to let me shadow them on rounds?" he waited patiently as the receptionist checked, her finger running down a list of potential medics. Tsu felt a little odd when she smiled, the expression kind of wicked he thought, before she leaned over "Why don't you find Raigyo-san? He's tall, with very light hair, and I'm sure he would be thrilled." Uhm... Tsu swallowed at the woman's wicked grin, unsure how to respond "Uh, yes, thank you. Can, can you write his name down for me, please?" the receptionist happily wrote the name, the description, and potential areas that the man could be for Tsu, handing the paper to Tsu while holding back a snicker. Tsu bowed, still a little unsure, before heading off into the hospital to find Severin Raigyo-senpai.
Turning a corner, Tsu spotted a tall, white-haired man but He looks very grumpy. he swallowed, holding the note to his chest, and Mushi glanced up at him, the badger making a disgruntled but concerned noise It's fine! Being grumpy is just...a, uhm... he was slightly panicked, his indigo eyes nervous as he walked up to the man who was engrossed in paperwork and coffee "Excuse me, are you Raigyo-sen-san?" Tsu dropped the senpai immediately, his voice squeaking on 'san', recovering poorly but still trying That's right, being grumpy is just a side effect! Diagnose the cause, administer the solution, and it will be fine!

How can I help you, little man?" Severin tucked the chart he was holding under his arm. The medic looked a little disheveled, and pale stubble was clear on his face from this close. He wore a plain, navy button down shirt and black slacks with a white lab coat that had "Severin Raigyo, MD, Shinobi Medic" written on the left pocket.

⥏❀⥑ Tsu swallowed as he felt the glare land on him, even if it was just a temporary glare Oh gosh. He's really grumpy. Mushi took immediate offense at the expression and the Japanese badger puffed his tail up, lowering his front to return the glare even after the scowl was replaced with a smile. The relief at the change in expression was obvious on Tsu's face as his expression brightened as well. Thank goodness. It's difficult to resolve misunderstandings if the issue is with the whole of one's self but that didn't seem to be the case. He blinked as Raigyo-san knelt to speak to him, startled by the sudden change in height differences. Now eye to eye, Tsu could see the dark circles and stubble Grumpy and definitely in need of more caffeine.
"Oh, that's okay!" he chirped in response to the apology, bowing immediately "I didn't expect to find you so soon either. I'm sorry." he jerked a little oddly as he straightened, clearly in reaction to being called 'little man'. After all, it was normally reserved for children and while Tsu was only a year out of childhood, he was still 13! And a genin! But it was clear to him that Raigyo-san was having a very hard day. He stood a little straighter, trying to not appear so very...runt-ish as he spoke "Raigyo-senpai, my name is Tsu Shizuko and I'm a newly ranked genin in the medic and tamer class. I have a sensei, Shikatsu Nara-sama, and I want to learn as much about being a medic as I can. I asked at reception and the nurse told me that I might be allowed to ask permission to shadow you on your rounds." His voice was confident and firm, the practiced speech executed flawlessly. It was best to be direct and clear, he had decided, having practiced in his head while he walked to find Raigyo-senpai. Then his cheeks flushed as he realized he'd forgotten to introduce Mushi!
The badger in question was still puffed up and displaying aggressively towards Raigyo-senpai, despite the man's obvious politeness. Tsu felt his face fall as he quickly knelt by the badger "Mushi, stop that!" he said, a little desperate as the badger ignored him "Uhm, this is Mushi, one of my companions. He's better suited for medic work so I brought him with me to shadow you as well." and normally not so antagonistic! Tsu gently stroked his ears, trying to get the badger to calm down as he spoke "Uh, that is, if it's okay for us to shadow you! I can help you too, if you let me. I know healing hands, diagnose, chakra scalpel and, uh, pain...uhm…pain suppression." he stumbled over the last one, standing again. He dropped his hands to clasp them near his stomach and bowed again, his hair falling into his eyes "I can be of use, I promise!"

He gestured for Tsu to follow him and he started down the hall. "It's good to use ninjutsu sometimes, it's just more time effective than the traditional way. But it's good to learn medical skills as well-- especially for long drawn out battles, where you have to save your chakra. Becoming a good medic means learning to use both. Ninjutsu is not always superior." Sev pulled the chart out from under his arms and began to look through it.

⥏❀⥑ That? Tsu blinked up at Raigyo-senpai as the man ran his hand through his hair, wondering what the end of that sentence might have been. It didn't appear that Raigyo-senpai intended to finish it though, and was giving an appeasing smile to Mushi. Sensing the badger wasn't going to yield, Tsu quickly spun around to kneel in front of him before Raigyo-senpai could speak "Mushi, stop that or I'll send you home." he whispered in the badger's ear and the effect was immediate. Mushi defluffed, settled down, and look the opposite direction as Tsu straightened to listen to Raigyo-senpai.
"Isn't that the human condition though?" Tsu asked, his words indicating he was an overly well-read teen "We're lonely, we're stressed, and we all end up in the ground alone eventually." his cheerful tone was very different from his slightly morbid words and he smiled as Raigyo-senpai straightened and gave him permission to shadow him "Thank you, Raigyo-senpai! I promise not to be in the way and to assist you where I can." he bowed quickly before stepping forward a little more to stand even with the older man "I've heard someone say that before. It worries me a little cause I don't have any friends so I think maybe, uhm, I just piss people off naturally." Tsu continued, his cheerful declaration of being friendless a bit at odds with the actual subject "And I think anything you can teach me will be something I didn't know before. And since I only just graduated, that means everything you teach me will be something I learn." what roundabout logic.
Tsu kept up with Raigyo-senpai, if only just, listening to his comment about using ninjutsu. Mushi waddled along behind them, his claws clicking on the floor as they walked "I haven't learned any general ninjutsu yet. I wanted to make sure I could help people so I prioritized learning eiseijutsu first." being in battle... "I was in a battle. Well, sort of." he reached down and rolled up the left sleeve of his shirt, revealing skin that was mildly warped. There were ridges and swirls where it should have been smooth, the outer damage telling a story about what had happened even as Tsu spoke "I got hurt in the last UHV attack and a piece of wall crushed my arm." he rolled the sleeve back down, his expression quieting for a moment before he smiled up at Raigyo-senpai "But a medic saved me. That's why I wanted to become a medic. So I could be a good medic and be useful in battle. To save people."
