Suzuki stood to the side in the hallway as a group of younger shinobi and one older shinobi exited the office of their village head. The group looked to be a sensei with his students. Or rather two senseis and one student? The woman who had walked through looked to be about Suzuki's age. It was a little hard to tell if at least the youngest one was new genin such as she was about to be. 'I suppose it is more natural to be a genin at his age is it not?' she thought to herself, crossing her arms and feeling a little downtrodden all of a sudden. There had been a bit of thrill in her as she approached the doors of the Raikage's office, but upon seeing someone half her age walk by with a shiny new headband the feeling vanished in a flash. Replaced by apprehension now. Sighing softly Suzuki shook her long red hair and walked the finally steps to the Raikage's office. 'Better late than never, right?' she thought, lifting her right hand up to knock on the door.
As soon as she rapped her knuckles against the wood Suzuki almost regretted it. She had no idea if she should wait to be called in or just barge right in. Surely the group who had just left were the only ones in there so in theory it would okay to go right in. However, Suzuki quickly decided that would be a rude thing to do. And so she took a half step backwards and waited to be admitted into the room.

Toso nodded once more. Although with less assurance than before. He watched Shiro administer his blood to seal and strengthen the contract. There was a millisecond of Toso's reflection before the drop landed and the drops descent itself reflected in his glasses, while it was all a nye near instaneous process it felt like several minutes passed as though time had slowed. The words Shiro was saying sounded like they were being spoken through cotton. Unwavering loyalty to the village? Perhaps. To Shiro...he wondered. Where was that courier carrying the letter containing Shiro's plans of treason now? This lack of sureness, doubt, guilt? He shook his head to bring himself back to the present. Shiro knew what he was getting himself into, if Toso hadn't sent word to the Daimyo the Daimyo would have found out after the fact it was Shiro who lit the flames of war...but now a knot formed his stomach.
Toso was now forming 'what if scenario's'. What if, for example the courier was intercepted and killed by UHV on route to the Daimyo's residence and the contents he was carrying sifted through for intel? What if the Daimyo was more than just a coward but betrayed his nation in favor to work with the UHV and upon receiving the letter informed said heathens? If either of these were the cases the letter of which Toso provided the courier, his sudden spur of nationalism could prove to be the folly of their assault...the author of the letter certainly would forever be anonymous...but the guilt of the one who wrote it would be everlasting if either of these things happened.
Ah, well...no need to focus on the black of things. Returning to living in the now Toso would speak his peace. "Ah, again with the too much credit Shiro. The last group I led ended up having to save me if you recall bloo bloo bloo." He laughed to try and ease the edge he was feeling. Had the squid any facial tells someone could see clearly something was wrong but his face never changed from its always still and stoic nature. He'd then for the moment look to the twins where in on fused with the other...it was interesting. They seemed to enter a trance like state and Mizuki gave her goodbyes without signing. Toso was a bit perturbed by this if not curious but again his face showed little to no signs of this.
With all being said Toso addressed Shiro once more . "I think the safest place for the contract scroll will be to remain here in the office bloop. Should the duo wish to sign it will be available to them. It shouldn't be all that hard keeping it away from ne'er do wells. I best head myself for final preparations bloop. With this Toso began to take his leave in a rather traditional manner. As he was nearing the door for his leave he'd say one more thing. "Oh and Shiro-nii bloop. Whatever happens...try not to die...Unk-nee would be devastated." Toso's tentacle would then wrap around the door knob and open it to make his exit, shutting the door behind him.

Exiting the office he'd come across a red haired girl who seemed somewhat anxious. Maybe the anxiousness increased seeing a man with four tentacles writhing about coming out from a pale looking mans back through the bottom of his coat as if they were sniffing the air only to all drape down like a cape. Toso could only make the assumption that like the other genin this one was likely one that sought a headband. Why make this assumption? A youngling clearly lacking in headband couldn't be anything but now could it? "Ah, bloop. You must be like the others bloop. Albeit, a lot more patient." Turning to secretary Shizuka for a moment who was seeing former Raikage Thanatos out Toso took it upon himself to open one of the secretaries drawers with snake like tentacle to accrue a headband. He'd then dangle the thing in offering to Suzuki of whom he'd hope would take it. Despite their appearance they wouldn't be slimy but that didn't mean they didn't look like they would be "This is likely what you're after no bloop? Here, should you be asked simply say Toso gave it to you. That way I'll be the one getting in trouble bloop. bloo bloo bloo."
The man would 'laugh' via his seemingly and possibly annoying quirk of blooping. With the offering either taken willingly or being placed precariously on the girls shoulder the man began a penguin-esque walk towards the exit blooping in cadence with each step tentacles trailing across the floor behind him. "Bloop, bloop, bloop." a stray one of the tentacles just gliding over the girls toes that would be enough to send a chill down someones spine or surprise someone by how cold it was. ~exit~

Jay and Jeon opted out of signing the contract. There was a lot of logistics they would have to discuss about the costs, and having to be sure to summon both, and being worried about slamming fists into faces by accident cause they got summoned during training. The duo bowed, as did Osiris, and they all turned to walk away. "Yeah, you aren't allowed to die till I say so," Jeon called back, flicking her tongue out at him. Once outside, the group would all perform a single seal to chase after Mizuki.

Suzuki stepped back a pace as the office door swung open to reveal not the Raikage, but a man with...squid arms coming from under his coat. As far as she knew the Raikage was neither as pale as this man seemed to be nor a creature from a black lagoon. Then again it probably wouldn't be shocking to see one as a Kage of any village. She stared for a moment until the man spoke, jarring her from staring at the strange arms. Looking up at the, as she now noticed, blonde man. It wasn't just his appearance that was strange, even his way of talking was weird. Although strangely cute. "Others?" It took her a moment for her to realize that he was referring to the group who had just left. Confirming her theory that they had been a new group of shinobi. "Ah, that is right." she said as he turned towards someone else. A moment later a shiny new headband was dangling in front of her by the arm of a squid.
Shiny new headband right in front of her and all she could do was go back to staring at the fishy arm holding it. "That is right..." she muttered again automatically, not really hearing more than the bloop. As she took the headband gingerly from the squid arm she did manage to catch the man's name between all the bloops. "...Toso?" For a moment she almost looked back up to meet his blue eyes, but something cold and squirmy ran over her bare feet. Suzuki sorta danced to the side in an effort to avoid the rest of the tentacles from touching her feet. While it was a tad bit cold to the touch Suzuki was more entranced by the outright strangeness of what just happened to be disgusted or shocked by it all. Not to shocked to forget her manners though. "Oh, uh thank you!" She called after the man as he....walked out of the building.
'Huh...I think I've seen everything now.' Suzuki thought as she worked the headband around her obi, but underneath the gold string so that it wouldn't slip around too much. She looked down at it with a smile on her face. For some reason the anxiousness she felt before was now replaced by thrill again. 'I guess I am a genin now!....Now what?' Not knowing what to do, seeing as how the Raikage was out, which meant there were no missions to be gotten right off the bat. Suzuki padded her way back down the hallway and out the building, heading towards the Dojo to do some training.

Letting out a heavy sigh, Shiro picked up his coffee and headed down the stairs to Shizuku's desk. Giving the woman a soft hug he sighed,"Things are progressing so much faster now then I would like them to. May I see the reports please." Handing him the reports Shizuku smiled and stood to the side,"Of course." Taking a seat he began to read. So Osirus had done well in their clandestine operation as well as his mercenary group. Shishin. Placing all of the reports into a manila folder he nodded,"Please see to it that these reports are black inked then declassified. Fill in the rest of the anbu on what we learned then the Oinin as well. While we are gone I would like both forces inside the city and on high alert. We cant out rule the chance of a counter attack." Cup of coffee still in hand he headed out towards the academy tower.
