Returning to the emporium the first thing Mizuki did was head to pick up her goggles. They were of course ready because her measurements had been taken previously. Pulling them on over her head she raised a finger to the edge to turn the radio on. Static buzzed to life in her ear, with a slight touch of her finger the volume was lowered to a good level. Seeing that it worked was satisfying. Too bad they didn't have any air filters or anything here. At the very least she could get her boots upgraded a bit though. Forking over the ryo for it and her boots, Mizuki bought herself some stealth padding for the tailor to rig up. After a few minutes of waiting patiently she retrieved her newly upgraded shoes and moved out towards the gate. However before dipping out, she stopped at the scroll shop and grabbed herself one of the larger scrolls (jounin) for body storage. [Exit]

Regenerating flesh and warped muscles was no easy feat of course. What became of the man that tortured him he wondered? Much to his luck Toso was fading in and out of consciousness at the time of his capture. Had he gained full consciousness however he'd have paid the man back in full. So, it was good they did not meet.
A pen in hand, a paper and clipboard with the bed risen in such a way that he could lean forward he would need to begin his report...but what should he say. He honestly didn't want Unki and the rest to have even been involved. He wanted to straighten his back against the wall but he could not...think, think. He tried to remember...but all he could recall for the moment was...an a**. The particular a** having been Mizuki's when she changed clothes in the room in which Toso was supposed to be unconscious. Her massage had apparently roused him enough that he saw a moment of it before fading back to sleep. Suffice to say he had no recollection of anyone part of the reinforcements group.
An unopened package was on the desk table near him. He looked at it briefly considering opening it, but then shook his head considering saving it for later. He didn't feel the need to be rewarded for just barely surviving anyway. Oh, right he had told Unki about her aunts cooking...he hoped she wasn't mad about that. Looking back now, if they had just made that summoning contract maybe things would have played out differently...He never did get to try her donburi bowl...but maybe that was for the best. Despite the undying chivalrousness that was always appreciating the lady in the families cooking if it was anything like her aunts when it came to a flavor profile it might have been lack luster.
Speaking of cooking, it was right around this time the nurse brought in a meal. It looked rather bland to say the least. But again, what was one to expect from hospital cuisine. Trying to lift the chopsticks with his hands to eat the concoction of rice and poorly seasoned curry he realized something. He usually ate with his hands. The utensils in his fingers kept falling on the plate much to his difficulty. Surprisingly Toso would find the use of these chopsticks incredibly whimsical. It was as though he were using a brush with the hand movements required to allow intricate grasping of food. Playfully Toso would wave the chopsticks around "Kani kani, Kani Kani. Bloohoo hoo hoo. " Pretending to be a crab. It was rather uncharacteristic of a squid to play the role of a crab but hey something could be said, his body may have been damaged but his spirit was not broken. Laughing about it maybe these movements could be used...in battle? What a crazy thought...but crazy and unpredictable was the squids modus operandi. A door opened from the basement and a pair of shinobi dressed in Anbu uniforms emerged carrying two bodies that had been stripped of their weapons and gear, and were now enveloped loosely in bandage wrap. The twins took them, discreetly, to where bodies were usually autopsied by other Anbu in this location, and rather than unwrap or gather tools their bodies were laid down inside of tubs already filled with water ahead of time. They started with the man, doing the seals together over his body and then extending one hand over hima s the water began to churn and he was shoved downward by the pressure. In seconds, all but his head was torn open and a blood mess replaced the visage of water and a tumbling body. Knowledge streamed into them. Gimangakure was where they had been garrisoned the entire time. Jay and Jeon closed their hands as the knowledge took hold. Giman was where a large number of their force was. Maybe not the majority, but still a concerning amount. Beyond that though, their foothold was being threatened, a stress coming up from the underbelly, and the warfare therein. He had a brother and sister in Otogakure, poor fellas. They were workers there, not affiliated with the UHV like many of the families. Jay and Jeon held harsh feeligns for the UHV, but not for their captives. One Sargeant J. Kelly was the only person that gave the shinobi there hope. There was naught but harshness everywhere else: a do or die mentality. The took his head and put it on a table before moving on to the woman. The same process occured, and similar info streamed into the minds of the twins. The Destroying Angel was reportedly nesting on the routes between Oto and Giman. That was... unsettling even if they didn't know what it was. Lots of monster infestation in general in those parts. The girl's mother had been fromYuki, and her father displaced to Konoha. She too was of the impression that life was difficult under UHV rule, but they had decided to ally with them either way, and so they met their end. Jeon and Jay took her head and his and left with no evidence that a corpse had ever been in the now clear water. [Exit to the Gates]

Toso would then take it upon himself to decorate his custom brush the marbles contained within the package and then using one upon his mask. After all what else could he do but indulge in a little art and crafts being bedridden and all. Shortly after finishing he would be asked if he'd like to take a recess. They were allowing him a the ability to get out of bed? How could he decline.
Toso was now in a 'recovery room' so to say, he'd likely have been out and about if not for Shiro sending message that he should remain and focus on recovery for now. A place for patients who could walk again but not engage in extraneous activities could participate in simple activities like reading, playing with toys, among other things. He seemed to be playing a game of shogi with an elderly man. "You seem to be putting your king in a state of check a lot any particular reason?""Bloop ah you've finally noticed. You are correct in their being a reason, perhaps you've noticed you are the one who keeps moving your units to place me in an appropriate check. bloop." Scratching his beard the man looked at the board only to realize something quite obvious. The whole game he'd been focused on the singular goal of checking the King while true Toso had to respond to his King being checked consistently a path was now opened for his other pieces to advance.

It's simply a game my friend."The man would say advancing his own silver general diagonally placing Toso's king in check again.
"Bloop, ahhaha, you have me there. Check." Toso would say as his Ryūma advanced to capture the silver general. "Hoho forgot about that one being promoted...in fact I think I gone done forgot all yer previous moves." Toso and the old man would continue to play the game with back and forths between the two. "Bloop, its quite easy to get caught up focusing on the leader. One could say the fact that all eyes being on you is both a blessing and a curse bloop." Toso would then move his other bishop in a manner that would put the old mans king in checkmate promoting it into another Ryūma. "It can easily be forgotten that sometimes even the little ones who've yet to promote still carry the potential to do so and become leaders that can fell a king themselves." His muscles in his back needed time to rest but the squid seemed adamant on leaving as there was work to be done regardless of his condition. The nurse reluctantly informed him that perhaps he could do some teaching. Book learning of course nothing too physically strenuous. Seeing this as a wonderful resolution Toso nodded and informed the nurse should Shiro arrive to seek him out that he'd be teaching. Although he made sure to inform her he'd make attempt to reach out to him first before that happened. With this Toso gathered his things and began his exit of the hospital, no slinging himself across the sky for now though.

Soraru was already prepping to leave when the sound of the door swinging open reached his ears. Still, he didn't look up yet, paying more attention to the unsheathed blade in his lap, resting atop the fabric of his clothing while he cleaned it thoroughly- slowly, with another piece of cloth. He sat atop the hospital bed within the room, engrossed in his current activity, Feeling the air rush into the room from the rest of the hospital brought a sigh from his lips, while he carefully brought scabbard to cold steel and sheathed the weapon. When that was done, he didn't look up yet, instead, his face shifted into a look of concentration. "I heard you ask for my name when you entered. It's been awhile, and there's a slight change, but I can remember your voice. He paused, still not looking up, a low and almost silent laugh escaping for a moment. "I'm not great at sensory, but I can detect hostile intent from the areas I'm in. You have none. Yet you came here instead of waiting for me to reach you." The fingers on his left hand fiddled around with the headband hanging off the hilt of his sword like a weapon ornament, while the right reached up to place itself against the pendant she gave him where it rested beneath his shirt.
Was it nervousness or anxiety? I expect her to tear me down. I lied and people got hurt. But I...If she forgives me it would...I want to move past this with her. He bit the inside of his cheek, stopping that train of thought and bracing for a metaphorical blow. From a practical standpoint, the chances of her giving anything but a negative approach was unlikely. He was a very practical person. "You're the only one in this village right now who knows that secret of mine. I'm the runaway heir to Tetsu no Kuni, and disaster is going to follow me for as long as I run. You experienced it first hand. You have a right to let others know. I just want you to know that I'm sorry, and if it comes to that, please give me a night to gather my things before you tell anyone." He told her, swallowing whatever pride he may have had. Exiting the state of meditation from his bloodline, his eyes returned to their natural state when he finally looked up at her. It was a rare sight to see. Blue, albeit not glowing, but the pale, almost sea-green hues carried an intensity to them. With his hair in its current state, she'd only be able to see one of those eyes, still sporting a similar boyish haircut to the one he used to have as a child. The main difference being the ponytail of wavy, dark hair that he sometimes allowed to grow out.
Soraru took in the sight of her then, unabashedly drinking in her features. He wasn't too surprised to see that her snow-white hair had grown out quite a bit. Following the trail made him realize that she'd "filled out" since their time a few years ago, something that almost made him laugh. It was completely incomparable to her physicality before, though he supposed the same could be said of him. He didn't grow obscenely tall or scarred, nothing very noticeable, but he was much thinner before. Gazing upwards from there, he noticed that plenty of her facial features were quite similar to the past. The flower tattoo on her cheek and beneath her eye was a dead giveaway if the oddly-shaped pupils weren't enough. She was...remarkably pretty, beautiful even from his perspective, and he could swear that he couldn't picture such features twisting into anger towards him. Still, he waited, prepared for the worst, ready to take whatever she was ready to give him.
Hanako drank in the appearance of him as he turned. A worried look crossed her face at his frame.. He had become....strangely thicker?..Had he been eating well? Not that she had qualms about it... Her crystal blues travelled upward to their intended target....
Those eyes... They were one of her favorite things about him. Like looking into the depths of the ocean, reflecting its very soul... Although... one was covered. Without thinking, she stepped forward to gently brush the soft, dark hair out of his eyes to get a good look at them. It was an old habited reaction from long ago, that the movement was natural.
She could hardly contain the radiance of her smile as she stepped into him and hugged him. She brought her lips close to his ear before whispering softly, "You big dummy... Do you know how long I had waited for you? Only to realize you left me there...Let others know? Why would I ever do that to someone I hold so close?"
Cason walked into the hospital, his most familiar environment. He had to train up to be of use on the expedition, so it was time to flex some medical muscles. Donning his Lab Coat, he walked over to the Critical Care Wing and got to work. Using Chakra, he knit some veins back together. Sutchering wounds was the first step on the healing process. He then used chakra to pump blood through an unconscious man's veins while another donated said blood. It was taxing, and specific, but necessary. It would save that man's life. Holding his hand's out, Cason cleaned himself of bacteria before he handled the wound. It got rid of foreign substances. It also limited the rate of infection. This would be helpful in the field. Going to a new person, he used chakra to rub out tightened muscles. It was very simple, and not beneficial, but it would be useful to recreational therapy. Placing his hands onto an opponents shoulder, he extracted a senbon with chakra. It weaseled it out carefully. He was careful not to do any more damage than was already done
The next techniques he would practice was virus and bacterial removal. He found one such patient suffering from both and approached. He kneaded the chakra together and placed his hands on the man. As he did so, the process of healing began. The bad s**t began to become removed. With concentration, he finished the process and smiled. The man would live. He then approached a man with a collapsed lung. Placing his hand upon the man's chest, he reopened and inflated his lung. It was only temporary, but it allowed him to do more techniques. He then used Chakra based CPR to pump the lungs. It was slow, and delicate, but it worked. The man was coughing and sputtering minutes later.. Walking to a poisoned patient, he began to extract it using chakra. Again, it was slow but it was definitely working. Once all the poison was extracted, he placed the vile fluid in a pan and went on with his day. The next technique he would learn would be his medical shushin. Weaving the signs he disappeared in a puff of smoke. Cason would reappear a short ways away, healing all around him lightly. It was definitely useful.
[enter] Looking for some last minute work before she would answer the PA, Shion made her way to the hospital. There was always work to be found there. Be it a simple boo boo to a more serious surgery, someone was always looking for another set of hands. [1/4]
Luckily for her, and unluckily for those involved, there had been quite a serious training accident right before she had arrived. It seemed that in an attempt to rush their training before being mobilized, a squad had gotten into a most unfortunate circumstance. According to what she could overhear, it was a classic case of a jutsu clash ending in an explosion.[2/4]
Shion quickly rushed over to make herself available, and the doctor on call immediately asked her to deal with the least injured of the squad while he prepped the others for their more intensive treatment. After everyone's orders had been assigned, Shion made her way over to the patient in question and began her examination. [3/4]
Before her sat a girl, probably no older than she was, covered head to toe in scuffs and scratches. It seemed like she got the luckier end of the accident, but one could never tell how deep the wounds really went. Bit by bit, Shion checked the girl's body for any discolorations or bruises. Thankfully, it seemed as though it was just the scratched; she'd live to see another day. [4/4]

With the first patient all taken care of, Shion's hands became free once again. Never one to just sit around, Shion quickly rushed over to the next student. This one was a much more serious case, as this boy was one of the pair directly hit by the collision. Shion began to gather basic supplies like gause and disinfectant and asked for the rundown on the situation. [1/3]
The doctor relayed all his his findings to her between him barking orders to the other nurses on staff. It was a simple case of a compound fracture in the leg and minor case of internal bleeding; if you could really call those ailments minor. The doctor, being an actually trained medical shinobi, was clearly more qualified to handle the internal bleeding, so Shion instantly set out to begin working on that leg. [2/3]
First thing was first, she'd need to brace the leg against something. Unfortunately, all she could do at the moment was pin the limb beneath her own body-weight to keep it from jerking around. Man, this was going to suck for this kid. Putting pressure down onto the broken limb with her torso and right arm, Shion used her left to clean the exit wound and disinfect the area. It wasn't easy with the kid kicking around and jerking away from her, but after a few short minutes, or agonizing hours depending on who you ask, the bone was ready to be set. Releasing the weight of her body, Shion began to 'console' the boy, telling him her plan was to count to three and, that on three, he would feel a little pressure as she reset the bone. Shion offered the kid a moment to collect his breath before she started. "Okay, ready....? Here we go... One!" Going against her word, Shion jerked back on the leg, successfully resetting the bone. The kid howled in agony and the doctor, still working on the bleeding, looked over to Shion and promptly told her to go help the other patient. Fine... she didn't want to help here anyway. [3/3]

The third, and final shinobi seemed to have cause the worst end of the stick. Shion could tell just by looking at him that he was in serious condition. On the surface level, the kid was covered in cuts ranging from minor scratches to inch long gashes. One of his limbs was twisted around in an almost unrecognizable mass of skin and bone. Man, poor kid. [1/3]
To be completely honest, Shion wasn't sure what she could do for the kid. Sure, she was good at first aid and she did have a pretty decent sized bag of tricks she could pull out for some of the more odder cases, but this kid was going to need an actual professional and not just a bunch of ninja playing doctor. Shion shook her head and began to clean the cuts on the kid's body. Tending to them while the doctors argued over how best to fix the arm was the least she could do. [2/3]
One by one, Shion tended to each cut. She'd unfurl a little bit of gause, apply some disinfectant, and gently swab the area in question. Most of the cuts were merely surface level and would heal on their own over time, so the majority of them were covered up with the same disinfectant covered gause and a bit of medical tape to hold them still. One of the cuts however, was easily an inch and a half deep gash on the kid's right leg. First responders had managed to stop the bleeding, but it would absolutely require stitching. [3/3]
Shion was admittedly a little nervous about attempting such a daunting task. Not only had she never done anything like this, but the idea of threading a wire through skin made her stomach turn. If she wasn't careful, she could end up making the situation even worse! Taking a second to do some deep breathing and collect her thoughts, Shion made the first pin p***k, putting the needle and thread through the broken meat. Then she'd do it again, and again, and again, wincing as she went. After the most agonizing 5 minutes of her life, the wound was sealed off and covered in a fresh bandage. [4/3]
Assist the Hospital B ranked - Complete
Her job here was done. After another few hours of work, Shion was really all out of things she could do. The scrapped up girl had left some hours ago, the broken leg boy had been taken to get a cast applied, and the more seriously injured boy had been rushed off to surgery. It was up to the actual medical professionals to handle the rest of it all. With her work completed, Shion began to tidy up the areas in which she had been working. [1/4]
Shion first began by collecting all the bloody rags and used bandages that were left around the tables. She could understand how the mess could be made in the first place, medicine was a rather messy art after all. But she failed to see how the doctors couldn't take the extra step needed to make it to the medical disposal buckets. With a sigh, Shion dropped off the used rags and towels in the proper receptacles and began to collect the tools left scattered around. [2/4]
They hadn't needed to break out anything fancy over by where the girl with the scraped had been, so her station was all but cleared. Same with the boy with the boy with the bleeding and broken leg. There had been no need to make any cuts or anything with him either as most of his damage could be healed with a few simple jutsu applications. The station where the twisted up boy was had tools scatted all over. Needles, thread, a scalpel, and a few others Shion couldn't even begin to guess the names of. It didn't matter if she knew their names or not, however. She'd still need to give them all a thorough washing. [3/4]
Taking the tools over to the sink, Shion began to lay them out one by one. She'd grab a tool, run it under some hot water, and set it in a small jar of disinfectant to be collected later. It was a pretty mindless task, allowing her mind to wander. As she washed the tools, Shion watched the blood mix in with the water. Images of the kid's bloody and twisted form flashed in her mind and an all too familiar pain slammed into her chest like a truck. Then it hit her... she was about to go off to a war. That kid could have been her... hell, at one point it WAS her. She didn't like where this thought was taking her, so Shion rushed through the rest of the washing process so she could leave the hospital asap. [4/4]
Returning to the emporium the first thing Mizuki did was head to pick up her goggles. They were of course ready because her measurements had been taken previously. Pulling them on over her head she raised a finger to the edge to turn the radio on. Static buzzed to life in her ear, with a slight touch of her finger the volume was lowered to a good level. Seeing that it worked was satisfying. Too bad they didn't have any air filters or anything here. At the very least she could get her boots upgraded a bit though. Forking over the ryo for it and her boots, Mizuki bought herself some stealth padding for the tailor to rig up. After a few minutes of waiting patiently she retrieved her newly upgraded shoes and moved out towards the gate. However before dipping out, she stopped at the scroll shop and grabbed herself one of the larger scrolls (jounin) for body storage. [Exit]
