I know this is random, but it just came to mind and I'd
really like to share it with you girls. To sum it all up, we should
set our goals high and not stand for anything lower. Not only
with men, but with everything in life.

Specifically with men... We tend to be blinded by 'love'. And to
be honest, we often lower our standards. We just learn to
accept them and let them walk all over us. (Obviously this does
not apply to all men.) I guess I just want all you girls to know
that I finally opened my eyes properly and I've decided that I
would rather be single and wait for a perfect man with high
morals instead of settling for less.

Maybe I'm living in a dream world, but life is to short to do
anything we will regret... Including a long relationship that
simply isn't worth it.

I'm totally with you on that! That's why I never dated in high school! Too many horny douche bags! LOL!

But the guy I'm with right now it perfect for me! We're like a matched set! We have a million things in common, yet enough differences to keep things interesting! And we share the same faith, beliefs, and morals, which is good!

Sometimes I just lay back and thing about how lucky I was that I decided to wait until I finished high school! Not only was I able to focus, but I was able to avoid the heartbreak that all my other friends had to face when they were impatient and went out with stupid men!

I mean, there are girls I know who just go out on dates just because! They don't care about a fulfilling relationship or a future or anything!

A good rule of thumb: if you've been going out with a guy for 6 months, and you still gag or shudder at the thought of marrying him, then he isn't right for you! Don't settle for that! There is a special someone out there for you that you are going to be a million and a half times better with! You just gotta let things happen! You'll find each other! heart

I dunno about high morals, however I want someone who has a kind heart and soul and someone who can be like a pillar of strength for me.

Most of the guys I dated did seem like the right fit for me. They can have high morals, etc. However what it comes done to is sometimes the people we fall in love with, changes. Either in their behavior, or their attitude.

Right now, I think I found the right guy :3 If it doesn't work out oh well. Life, and love is all about trial and error <3

I have to admit I lowered my standards because I thought I was reaching for the stars but I figured something out with my experiences:
We are the BEST THING THAT ANY GUY CAN EVER HAVE!!!!
No money or other stuff can compare to a woman's love
and for that I will be true to myself and if any guys want to do something that i dont want to do, i'll tell them and if they keep telling me to change then i wont.
My ex told me to do nasty things with guys because then i'll have a good relationship. Well! My parents didnt do anything nasty when they were going out so I wont either. (granted i did before but that was a mistake but oh well live n learn)

That's exactly why I'm single. Never had a boyfriend, and I'm prepared to die single if I never find a good man. I'd rather be a 90 year old spinster with 20 cats than settle for someone I'm not happy with. My mother and grandmother made that mistake, and I've promised myself that I won't end up like them. I won't lower my standards for anybody. wink

In fact I decided upon that a long time ago ^_^.

I'm going to wait for a man who respects me and likes to
have fun and makes me laugh who loves me for who I am.
Who knows how to settle an argument and who doesn't go
off drinking, risking his life on bottles of beer while driving.

Yeah this comes from somewhere, see my mom
suffered a lot, not just my mom but us ( me and my sisters) my dad
was very inconsiderable when he drove us while he was intoxicated...
but I don't want to suffer like my mom has. I refuse it!
From Mexico to Texas my dad drove drunk with us in the back seat,
it was very scary. The swirling and the speeding over the limit, it is the
worst dream ever,
Only God's hands could have kept us save.
My dad is such a boss and a big tempered man.So I decided to wait, then to suffer like mom (When I have children I will not let them suffer with a father like my dad, I would rather be single than have a husband like that). It hurts me to talk about my father this way, because I love my dad, but some of the things are just intolerable and frighting.

And maybe if I keep dreaming of that day of meeting my man, God may grant my wish true. : )
