The last time Red experimented with an acceptance bin, she had passed out in the hallways halfway back to her room. Unfortunately since that incident, she was pegged and marked by the cleaning gnomes. Time and time again did Red wind up with some student applications on her desk, and no matter how many times she dumped them back on Arel's desk they somehow came back to her.

Walking into her office one morning to find a smaller acceptance "bin" on her desk didn't help matters. Nor finding it in the middle of eating Coralie Bahest's application help matters. "GET OFF! OFF!" She shouted, trying to shoo it off.

Instead, the tinier bin merely shuddered in excitement before latching onto something else on Red's desk.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT MY FRISBEE!"

Faction/Race Reaper/Witch

Personality: Cora is very relaxed. She tends to treat everything as if it'll get done in good time or that it's no big deal. She's terribly hard to offend, as she doesn't take half of what anyone says seriously. Though she's laid back, she almost always says what's on her mind. She's sarcastic, she's blunt, and she's got a critical eye. Despite this, she's surprisingly passive; she rarely takes action for her own sake and often comes off as unmotivated or lazy.

The truth of the matter is Cora is very much a supporter rather than an acter. She comes from a very large reaper family, with seven other siblings both older and younger than she is. Because of this she's very used to simply helping those that need it rather than going after anything she wants herself. When a friend is in need she will tell them if she disagrees with their decision. She'll be very very blunt about it too. But, she will offer her aid and support where she can, as long as it's not completely beyond her code of ethics.

If there is one thing Cora loves it's flying on her broomstick. Where on the ground she's mellow, in the air she's got so much energy and spunk that you might think that when she's grounded she's half asleep.

Overall, she's a pretty positive person despite the way she comments on things and is very curious about how things work. She likes to understand things and if she doesn't-don't be fooled!-she gets extremely frustrated and put off. She just doesn't want to let anyone believe something so trivial bothers her.

Why did they enroll at the academy? Cora didn't so much decide to come to the academy as abide by he family's decision to send her. Her parents and elder siblings noticed she had talent and thought it was best to send her to school where she could learn to use it to the best of her ability. The better trained she was, the better she could help support the family and its name. While Cora doesn't really care about succeeding herself, she doesn't want to let her family down. It helps that she has a healthy desire to understand, which usually leads to learning in one way or another.

Fear: Cora channels all her magic through her enchanted hat, which can take over the body of a living creature, control it, and alter it slightly through the bonding to become a quite frightening monster. Right now, however, she only has the skill to bond the hat with small animals such as mice, crows, and cats. Also, it is not unusual for the creature to run wild and disobey her, as her control is very weak at this stage.

The Hat: Is enchanted. Aside from it being part of her fear ability, her eldest brother decided it would be a "great" idea to enchant the thing to give advice like he would. So now the hat chatters on and nags Coralie constantly about her decisions. Having found this rather annoying, she got the assistance of one of her sisters in putting a spell on the thing so it talks in a country accent. At least now it's more amusing and easier to ignore.

Coralie named him Wilfred Alabaster Mottingham V, but usually calls him Wilfred for short.

He is key to Coralie's fear and can bond with other living beings to form a monster. See her fear for more information.

Morton - Coralie's partner in crime best friend. Their initial meeting was a little rocky, but any issues were easily mended. They tend to do a lot of things together and the casual onlooker may think that something else is going on between them. Banter, flirting, and physical touch (Morton loves scratches) is actually pretty normal for them and since they're both so chill they think nothing of it.

Julian - A good friend of Coralie's, he's a pretty sweet and shy kid. When together it's almost as if Cora is out to make him more outgoing and independent. She convinced him to join a band, for instance, and has been trying small maneuvers to get him and Tahki closer. She knows if she needed something from him he'd help out, but she seems content for now to try and "help" him whether he wants he to or not.

Maritess - A casual friend, she and Coralie started the Freakquent Flyers together. She seems nice, if a little overly apologetic at times.

Rain - She and Coralie have a "baby" together. Huh.

Tahki - Coralie's met her a few times, though never alone, so she hasn't gotten to know her extremely well on a personal level. She seems nice, if a bit too shy. But hey, she at least has the guts to express her personal tastes, even if it gets her a bit flustered.
