So here's a current view of my skyfort on the server. The wooden room is a reading room attached to my mostly-empty conservatory (next screenshot), and the stone tube below it is a ladder tower leading from near the entry up to the conservatory so I won't have to make the huge trek around the walkway up to it every time I need to do some work.


When I'm done this is gonna have books like you wouldn't believe.


This is the reading room attached to the conservatory, right at sunset. You can't see it in this shot, but it has a rather lovely view of CREEPER MOUNTAIN and what appears to be three trees that have grown on top of each other. The dirt will be walled off with some sort of nice flower pot looking block eventually, and once the flowers stop glitching (EVEN THE FLOWERS ARE GLITCHED IN SMP WHAT THE ********), there'll be flowers there as well. Also looking at this screenshot makes me think another tile would be good to make the backs of the lounge chairs a little better so I'll experiment with that but whatever I'm rambling at this point.


Here's the fort from the ground view. I THINK IT IS RATHER IMPRESSIVE.


Finally, this is my reed bank (haven't made a farm yet), which surrounds KLEMPKY'S HO HUT which Xippy/Brandon/someone so kindly made and furnished for me. I'm currently replacing all the stone/dirt walls and floors with GOOOLD, and considering moving it somewhere much more conspicuous and using the little shack that it is right now as some sort of hidden storage zone.

You should probably get plenty of screenshots because I'm going to be resetting the server with the update.

So here's the fort now. I've added a rather sizeable garden, a small crafter's terrace, and a pretty large main hall/fountain (currently dry, right in the center)/gathering chamber. All that's left now is to irrigate the garden itself so it'll be suitable for growin' s**t, fill the library up with books, and make THE MASTER BEDROOM (which will be attached to that hole in the back of the main hall).


Here's the left side of my main hall. It is a very large window overlooking the sea and the general chaos that is spawn island.


The right side of my main hall IS THE ******** TRIFORCE HELL YES. Seeing as another window would've given a great view of a nasty, torn up mountainside and I'm a sucker for symmetry, I figured I'd put the gold blocks I had lying around to good use.


In much less awesome news, this is the garden. I was originally going to have all five trees grow at the same time, but seeing as one growing blocks out the sun needed for another, I pretty much had to manually construct three trees while trying to make the leaves look as convincing as possible out of the only two that grew. I think I did an okay job. Add water, reeds, and wheat and you'll have a good idea of what this will end up looking like.


Finally, here's the lobby and main entrance to the whole fort, which I have since dubbed Klempkington Heights. This was the first room I ever built on the server, and for the longest time (before the crafting terrace, so until like an hour ago) was cluttered up with two big chests, four forges, and a workshop. Before that it wasn't even stone all around, and what's now the window and walkway leading out was just empty space. I'VE COME SO FAR ON THIS SERVER. crying

Okay so I'm mining along and I break into a water chamber. Luckily, none of it spills in because I mine like a pro, but it's really dark and I lost track of time so I assumed that it was night time out. My last pick breaks, I go out, and then I see that it's day.

OH HEY IT WAS A BADASS UNDERGROUND AQUIFER ******** YES.

Gonna build some of the housing for my mountain city into it now. The other housing will be up on the cliff face above the bay. RAAAD.

The aquifer thing? That's just how I found it. It's not remarkable because it's big, it's remarkable because underground grass and water is pro. It spawned pigs when I was diggin' around in it. :3
