◤ History

During the great bloodline extermination, the Nagano family who happened to be descendants of the Hyouton clan fled to the wilderness of Kirigakure where they raised their firstborn child, Makoto. The boy grew up strong, often wrestling with the animals the Nagano hunted in order to survive. Once he got older he even messed with the alligators in the nearby bayou, timing how long he could hold back their jaws before they could snap them down. He showed incredible promise for tracking his prey, noticing small things like indents in the soil and broken twigs. Once the period of strife was over and Kirigakure strived to make progress. The Nagano felt it was time to return to civilization and make their living as fishermen. Makoto, whose abilities in tracking were highly acclaimed, was enrolled in the Kirigakure ninja academy to be trained as an Oinin.

Personality: Kazuya is very playful, even childlike sometimes in the way he behaves. He can often be found playing practical jokes on people, especially the young gennin. Very social, he often goes out of his way to communicate with new faces. He is what one would call carefree, almost an extreme example of the term. To the point where almost nothing fazes his childlike demeanor and playfulness. He loves new toys, especially yo-yos. Even in the midst of a difficult conflict he will continue to smile and joke with little to no worry for his own life. Kazuya however is very protective of his Village considering each member an extension of his own family, and will show no mercy to anyone who harms them in anyway.

Kazuya was born during typhoon season to a prominent ninja family in the Land of Rice. It was considered a good omen for a child to be born on the night of a storm, as a result Kazuya was considered a precious gift by his family. Throughout his early childhood he was showered in presents like trains and building blocks forging his slight obsession with toys. This of course made him slightly spoiled, since he always got what he wanted with little resistance. Once his young ninja career began he showed exceptional promise, thought to be a genius by many because of his ability to pick up wind based techniques so quickly. Fully living up to his birth during a storm. However, all agreed that he lacked the natural drive to progress forward, doing so only when he found his friends were moving ahead. Even then he always quickly closed the gap.

His life didn't change until he graduated from the academy, that was when he received his first Yo-Yo. Fascinated by its possibilities he became almost completely obsessed, forgoing all training just so he could play with his favorite toy. He felt it was too much of a drag to pick up scrolls and study when he could be having fun. Something that would carry on to this very day. Eventually as the time demanded it he had to improve his skills in order to keep up with his friends, passing the Chuunin Exam with no hitches. It created a lot of envy in his peers, why was he so gifted when they worked so hard for everything? Of course none of that really mattered to Kazuya, he was just playing a game.

It wasn't until he was selected to be a Jonin that Kazuya began to realize the obligations he held within the village. Though they may not have seen it the same way he did, Kazuya considered the village part of his own family and over the years came to grow fond of all the people he met. It was this desire to protect his 'family' that was the final push for Kazuya to tap into his full potential and become a well known and respected member of the Shinobi society. This sudden drive finally brought about his election as the Hokage. Of course now that there was no where else to go, the slacker in him would begin to show once more. Deep inside however was the heart of a man prepared to throw it all away for his village, and that's his sole mission... to protect the bonds he's made over the years, and also make sure the ones he has yet to create eventually form.

It was there they raised their firstborn child, Makoto. The boy grew up strong in the harsh environment, often wrestling with the animals the Nagano hunted in order to survive for sport. As he grew to maturity he found himself possessing amazing physical prowess. One of his favorite pass times was engaging the alligators in the nearby bayou, timing how long he could hold back their jaws before they could snap them down at the tender age of eight years old. It was around this time that the second born child, Motaro was born.

Makoto was beginning to carve a niche for himself as a hunter, showing incredible promise for stalking and tracking his prey, with a keen eye for detail - noticing small things like indents in the soil and broken twigs seemed to be mere child's play. The youngest of the pair, Motaro, had only just begun following in his brother's footsteps as the period of strife in Kirigakure came to an end. With the relations between the native residents and its Kekkei Genkai users improving the Nagano family felt it was time to return to civilization, where they began making their living as humble fishermen. Makoto, whose abilities in tracking were highly acclaimed, was enrolled in the Kirigakure shinobi academy to be trained as an Oinin where he flourished under the tutelage of former Mizukage, Satoshi Hatake. Quickly rising the ladder to Jounin, the Nagano's second born child was enrolled in the shinobi academy with the hopes of furthering his family's growing prestige and reputation. The difference between the two was clear however. In comparison to his sibling's natural gifts, Motaro's abilities seemed almost subpar.

During the infamous assassination attempt on the village traitor, Doku Le, Makoto Nagano defected from Kirigakure. His whereabouts and reasons currently unknown, his name was placed in the Bingo Book for termination. Motaro took upon himself as a Nagano to stay his brother's execution passing his examinations with new found vigor upon receiving word from his family members. Such is his destiny; going beyond his limitations to track Kirigakure's greatest tracker.
