.Personality:
[In a nut shell: ]Take half a cup of ignorance, one slab of determination, 3 table spoons of teenage frustration, a pinch of hormones and sprinkle with bitchness and you have the recipe equation of Sarias. Quick to judge and even quicker to anger Sarias is a studious ghost, a teachers pet and closet geek rolled into one but with a layer of nasty on the outside (a thick layer). To be viewed from afar is to see a ghost caught up in her own world, she spends her time either studying or ignoring people, neither acknowledging familiar faces or talking to strangers. She doesn't make friends fast and she doesn't want too, is this out of spite? habit? 50/50? Either way she isn't opening up any time soon, unless of course you dangle a passport her way...or something else?
[Group discomfort] - In a past life, days, years if not centuries ago something happened to the fleshy counterpart of Sarias something that is able to strike fear into her un-beating heart and cause mass panic through her ectoplasm. But curse her if she can remember what the heck it was! All she knows is she can’t stand to be surrounded by people. Groups larger that 8 or 10 people she starts to panic, heading up to a group larger than 15 or more and she looses all her normal reserved calm and runs for the Halloween hills! To this she can seem very unstable, lashing out at friends and strangers alike when put under pressure. She will do anything to get away, and go through anyone, students, teachers; all can have the un-pleasure of her icy tendrils whipping about their faces as she fly’s past. To force her into these situations can lead her to become even angrier than normal, its not the best thing to do.
[Lone Wolf]- Due to her inability to get on with large groups Sarias mainly keeps herself to herself. Gaining one friend could led them to introduce another, that leads to a further person, then one more, and soon that can mean only one thing. Sleepovers! Parties! People! The mere thought causes her to vomit the useless food she’s made to eat at the high school! So she puts on a front, if no one likes her, that means no friends! She can learn in peace without the stress of being part of a group, be it the popular kids, geeks, or even the smelly monsters (who seem to have a huge following!) Sure it’s a lonely un-existence but to accomplish her goal of getting a passport she is willing to do anything. Yet somehow her general personality doesn't make this too difficult to accomplish.
[Snobbish/Ignorant:] Part 1;The Actor - To believe you need to be hated to survive high school is not a thought that runs through every students mind. But for Sarias it comes easy, years of being purposely alone has left her with zero social skills. She comes across as rude, snobbish and ignorant, judging people on stereotypes and comments, unable to separate what she hears down the scare vine and reads up in the *Nightly Haunt newspaper, to the actual facts! Not everyone is who they seem, and as one who lives and breathes this 'labelled curse*' she should know better.
Part 2: The b***h - But to say she is a product of something else is misleading, she can and is an absolute b***h at times and has a very broad view of people. Being on her own so much has given her a complex of those around her. She sees the other students larking about, not taking things seriously and this annoys her, she is here for a reason and while trying her best, others just seem to sail through the classes (she wouldn't know though, she never asks!) With that in mind she keeps a 'mental' log of those she feels haven't been pulling their weight, and she will judge you, cast you aside and won't look back. 1st impression are the key to this girl, even though her own have a lot to be desired...
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
[Forced] The main reason Sarias attends the Academy is due to her Coven's say so. To be a banshee you need to be trained and once upon a time this was done in the sanctuary of the Coven's home but due to the laws and rules that have to be abided by, all Halloween residents need a passport before they can descend on the fleshy world. So not only does Sarias have to learn her way through the Banshee ranks *see Past life post, but she needs to graduate before she can even show off all her hard work. This girl has a lot to (un)-live up too and a heck of a lot of pressure on those tangible shoulders. And no-one has ever asked, does she even want to do it? Well, does she even have a choice?
[Personal] Even as an un-dead being the thought of vanishing completely (like no after-after life & believe me, it can happen!) still scares those who lack a heart beat and Saias is no different. As a ghost Sarias feeds of FEAR, it sustains her, keeps her from vanishing altogether (although some days she likes to think she has!) Sure she can gather the FEAR she needs for now, but eventually she'll need more. She's a un-dead growing girl you know, and little snacks won't be able to keep her growth spurts satisfied. She wants to leave the hustle and bustle of the Halloween world and find a nice haunt to spend her days in, gathering the FEAR she needs to live out the rest of eternity and of course to do that, she needs a passport, or a well connected friend....and one of those defiantly won't be happening any time soon...

[FEAR:] Sarias FEAR is a mixture of her wisps (her smoke tendrils that fall from her skirt) and temperature. As ghost are known for causing a room to go ice cold Sarias adapts this into her fear, letting her wisps spread out into a closed area causing the temperature to drop dramatically. Also her wisps can cause respiratory problems in the sense that once breathed in it can be as if breathing in smoke, not of course resulting in the effects of smoke damage, but the illusion of not being able to breath causing panic within the person. Weapon Upgrade and Disassemble. Here is a more detailed view of Sarais Fear, the pros, cons and possible upgrades. [Cons:]1.At the very early stages of Fear her ability to drop the temperature will only come into effect within a closed off area. Open ground fights will greatly decrease Sarias ‘hit’ chances and be little more than a breeze. The same goes with the respiratory harming effects of her wisps, causing little more than a coughing fit if the wisps are not concentrated enough upon one area. Air or Fire attacks used by other students will cause Sarias own attacks to become null void as air attacks can blow her smoke tendrils away and fire attacks can cause the air sustaining the smoke to be used up. 2. Due to her tendrils being apart of her ectoplasm there is only so long that Sarias can keep up the ‘onslaught’ of her FEAR, the action is extremely draining in her early stages. If she concentrates on temperature alone she will have little power left to move her tendrils about, resulting in her victim quickly escaping her clutches. The same goes for the other way round, if she concentrates on attacking her opponent with strength using her tendrils as fists she will have to forfeit her ability to freeze anything. The more she uses her tendrils the faster her energy reserves are used up so she often needs to be on her toes with battle plans. Does she go for the quick hit, using force before it runs out? Or the slow freeze, making her enemy lose the ability to move, allowing for a quick escape. [Upgrade:] As Sarias develops in her FEAR her smoke tendrils will become more solid and strong, one day having the strength to move things and even being able to throw (light) objects and beings about. Her main use will be to wrap her smoke wisps around her victim and injecting them with a icy cold blast which causes them to ‘temporary’ freeze with fear.
Natural Ability: Ghost: intangibility and invisibility Banshee: Wail - A banshee can emit a chilling cold scream that seem to scare their opponents. As a ghost Sarias has the ability to walk through walls, disappear and reappear into thin air and on a good day be able to possess small inanimate objects. The lack of choice when it comes to the tangible rule at school is not her first choice opting to spend as much time invisible as she can, these rules tend to be broken when it all gets a bit too much and she will try to escape school grounds to have the ghost persona of 'me' time. She also she has the wonderful ability of her scream, the gift of all her subspecies, the hauntingly, mind numbing intoxicating wail that is her birth right. Known to paralyse people with fear banshees will scream out the names of the people who have been cursed - normally caused by those annoying reaper types trying out their stupid spells! Sarias personally, chooses to hide her talents and would take the 'silent but deadly' route instead, opting to use her fear though her wisps then use her enchanting lung power to scare the fear from her victims. Although don't get her wrong, peeve her off and she is more than happy to show you what her back molars look like.

[ NOTE: Below is a little information about the Life, Coven & Religion Sarias follows. This is by no means canon but any banshee that joins TiH are more than welcome to use this info.]
Banshees
Sub History of the Banshee Role: Banshees are a race of ghosts that are more or less deaths messengers. Originally before the academy was set up and all beings from this world had to have rigorous training and of course the passport, the training of banshees were either left up to nature or within Covens designed for them. In history past banshees were assigned to those that had dealings with magic or had made deals with demons, reapers etc. Mostly noble humans had the privilege (or curse) of finding the ability to contact the 'others' and it could end up that 6 or 7 banshees were contracted to large families. Most humans had dabbled in the occult, asking for such things as fame, wealth and health, there wishes were granted but for a price. As in all promises there must be a give and take, deals were made and broken. It was up to the banshees to call time on these and bring these humans to their sweet demise.
It is often said that banshees would wail the name of their chosen victim for up to 3 months before their deaths, leading them into a deep madness that covered the banshee deeds (it couldn't be common knowledge of course! Rumours are always scarier!). Often they would led humans down to the local rivers where most 'nests' of banshees would spend their time, the act of drowning their victims was a favourite and again it hid the fact their death had anything to do with otherworldly powers.. Other banshees would lead them out into the cold, fog filled moor lands and let them freeze to death as they took them further and further away from help.
It is very rare that a banshee will 'swap families' to call death to another. It not a case of loyalty but territory. Banshees although all working towards the same purpose are extremely hostile and will often try and snap the life out of another 'nest' by consuming the essence of the banshees in screaming fights. It is said that when thunder and lightening strike the sky it is a banshee duel happening on the horizon. Like showing how bigger you are if your scream fails to bring the FEAR and snap the 'life' from your opponent you are stripped, tore apart and finally consumed by the winning nest. You are now gone, the power keeping you together, the threads that substain you as a ghost, a banshee, is now gone. You are dead-dead. The act of consuming a ghost is by no means special for the banshees, most ghosts are able to destroy another spectral being this way although this day and age it is highly controlled and outlawed by the powers that be. Ghosts have to go through the same rules like all others. This sort of revenge is kept for the underground and it is best to not get involved in such matters.
The birth of a Banshee: Unlike many species in TiH, ghosts are a funny thing to determin. Your are not born a ghost, nor are you 'created' or brought back like an undead in your previous form. It is known that ghosts may take the apperance of their past life, be it a young girl, dog, cat etc. When passing from your life the energy that substained you in life can not just disapear. It may over time disperse into nothing, or be consumed into other energy, or if in your previous life you burnt bright, a flame that wouldnt just go out can grow even after your life has expired. Many ghosts can be 'born' out of a emmense emotion that you take with you to the other side, hatred, sorrow, even love. In the beggining stages of your new un-life as a ghost you spend some times as a spectal blob of mist forming yourself into what you are now, this can take months, years, centuries even. (Which can explain that sometimes you have ghosts who can be decirbed as modern (born in the last 200 years) or much older who have only just appeared!
Durning this 'blob' stage if you are consumed by hatred, sorrow (or anything in that ball park) you may be chosen down the route of a banshee. Since really your main role is to call death to humans we dont want happy, peppy ghosts singing! Then it is just a matter of time to be 'found' Some ghosts may never realise they have the ability to be a banshee, often they stumble across it or always knew they had the power to realise the wail that can scare someone litrarly to death. Once 'awakened' it is just a matter of time, many Covens will try to 'snap' you up as one of their own. Unfortunatly the ranks of the covens have weakened and are in dire need of reinforcments! (But thats a story for another day!) Your banshee skills will be trained to a point within the covens and then sent to the acedmy, accepting you back when you are worth their time.
Species of Banshees: Banshees are as unique and individual as a snowflake. They can be beautiful and alluring, or hideous and old. They range from all ages and upon reforming in this world can take an array of appearances. Most banshees have extra 'flaps' across their cheeks which allow them to open their mouths wide to get the best scream, showing jagged teeth and probably more gross stuff! But this is not the only way a Banshee can scream. Some can have mouths or even just holes, placed around their bodies, neck, stomach. As long as the deed is done Banshees don't care! (Although have them on your feet may be a problem!)
Covens
Religion of Covens: Is a mix of pagan and wiccan beliefs. There is one 'main' goddess and many others that control different parts of the world called deities. Be it the weather, cooking, to gaining power, each one must be probably asked upon within a ritual or prayer you are in need of answering.
The Goddess: The most 'holiest' of holy. She is the divine being that the banshees of covens trust, believe and worship. Her words are the fact, her presences is the law. She is everything and more. Her place of residence is the Sanctuary in the Court of the Willows, to be allowed here is to be known as a saint in Coven history.
Known Covens: There are 12 known Covens each covering the world of TiH, 6 high power and 6 that are known as 'training' grounds for banshees accepted in to the Covens. The highest Coven controlling the others is named the The Weeping Scarlet's. The banshees chosen into this Coven are blessed with red eyes. To be rejected by this coven through miss deeds (and there are a few!) can result in being banished from all covens (oh the shame!) and the lesser act of having your eyes removed *cough*. Of course each Coven has a set of rules and laws that must be abided by, it would be best to listen!
