....WORTH IT?

I'm asking mom for a new monitor.
I have two non-hd ones, and I found an acer hd for like 120. so i'll make it my main monitor, and get rid of this ancient shitty samsung. not sure two 22" are going to fit on my desk though..
WE'LL FIND OUT LOLOLOLOLOLOL
also asking mom for a new headset.

Drop the Seagate.
I'm still iffy on their quality control standards since merging with Maxtor, and Maxtor drives were so unbelievably hit and miss. Worse than IBM Deskstars back in the day when 75GXP were the performance kings, but you traded off for very low reliability.

I don't know if you can swing it, but if performance is your concern then trade up to the Caviar Black FAEX. 64MB cache, dual processors, impressive performance numbers, and the longest drive warranty at 5 years, which is generally reserved for enterprise class drives.
Basically, this drive has the same "brain" of the Velociraptor drive, but in the body of a 7200rpm.
WD Caviar Black FAEX

If not, might as well go for the Samsung EcoGreen SpinPoint 2TB.
HD204UI.
I have the drive as the HTPC's second holodeck matrix, and actually the response is pretty good despite being only 5400rpm.
Samsung SpinPoint EcoGreen Spinpoint 2TB 5400rpm

Everything else you have, I like.
You'll be damn happy running that Lynnfield.
G.Skill has always been well received in the gaming/enthusiast community. So you can't go wrong there. (My personal favorite are Corsair Dominators/Dominator GT's)
That QuickCam is awesome (we own one)
I always run with Gigabyte motherboards. They have the best balance, but if you are more interested in tweaking and overclocking like a madman, look into ASUS.

A NEW MONITOR WILL TAKE YOUR WOW GAMING EXPERIENCE TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL.

Oh...and this is just me personally saying this.
Don't bother with getting a headset.
The microphone on the QCPro is good enough.
Redirect that money on either getting a better hard drive, or high-end set of headphones like Grado SR80i's or something.
Because seriously, unless you get a discrete sound card, positional audio through gaming isn't going to mean much.

I never thought I'd say "discrete sound cards do make a difference"...but once when I took out my X-Fi Fatality due to heat problems (partially blocking the fan on the graphics card)...I could tell. The sound wasn't as full....despite doing as many equalization tweaks as I could. It just didn't sound the same.
In both gaming and listening to music.

TOO SLOW MARIO, I bought that s**t.
Dropped the external and a stick of ramses, I'll get em later if I need em.

I have no need for an upgrade now, I did this s**t because it was cheap, and can further delay my actual need of an upgrade.

Wtf microphone wtf qcpro are you talking about.
I was gonna get a razer, same one john and ryan have, but this one was cheaper. and really, I'm using a $20 logitech headset that I've replaced 4 times because it kept breaking (within bestbuy warranty, so idfc).
I don't care about sound quality to whatever extent you're saying. Getting a headset.

QCPro = QuickCam Pro 9000, or webcam microphone.
High end webcam like you are buying has sufficient technology and options to be able to produce as clear sounding as you would buying a gaming headset.

Me, personally, I don't find the appeal or use of headsets, that's all.
- The dynamic range, and signal-to-noise ratio of headsets isn't really that great.
(There are times that I use my headphones for other things than gaming, and ones I have had sound horrible when listening to music or when the wife is asleep, and I want to plug it in to the TV so I can watch movies until I pass out.)
- Most of them are flimsy.

I'd rather spend money of decent set of headphones, or a wireless bluetooth headset so I can use it on the PC, PS3, and my mobile phone.

And well, Entech has been slow lately...so, I hardly come on now.

Since I'm moving out and don't want to transport my big-a** TV and then move stuff around at the new place, I sold my old 42" HDTV to my dad for $400 and bought a monitor with an HDMI port in addition to the normal style ports for around $160 after shipping/tax so I can use it for consoles and computer, wootwoot.

Wish I could find a monitor with that price here.
To get a 22 with HDMI will run me about 260-350 USD equivalent.
The only thing that is actually cheaper in Japan is (probably no suprise) SLR cameras and their lenses.

Don't they have one at one of those used electronics stores I hear so much about?

Yeah, dude...but the price offset really isn't that much over new. At least from what I have seen from both local shops and going to Nagoya.
To get closer to that price, probably have to look in the "junk" section where there is at least 1 or 2 things wrong with it.

Oh that sucks, I figured there'd be pretty good prices on monitors and stuff over there sad
