[ OOC ]Did you read what I said about the Genjutsu? In episode five, Sakura turned to look at Kakashi who then did the hand sign to perform the illusion. The leaves, in this case, the snow is part of the illusion. It is to make it seem real to the victim. Since no one can send a twister of leaves around a person or bring forth a blizzard, it is evident that it is part of an illusion. It would have seemed normal to Shigeru though, considering the environment, but he would only have seen it if he had been caught in the Genjutsu.]

Shigeru could hear Orihime's voice not so far ahead of him. Her voice was like a rattle to his cage. It was enticing and friendly in an uncommon sense. It became harder for him to be so hostile. If what she was saying was true, he could be subject to Genjutsu at anytime but it did not coincide with what he had learned about Genjutsu. Being a Taijutsu specialist it was adamant that he learned to defend against Genjutsu by knowing it's ways. Shige had taught that Genjutsu could enter a shinobi's mind through a sound or a visual. All the records showed that all the shinobi who had used Genjutsu, required these senses from their opponents. Perhaps, that is why the Yukikage and Nakura had been defeated, because this Genjutsu was never before seen and they had been caught off guard. Shigeru was interrupted from his doubting by Jae. She shouted for him to get back. Immediately, Shige thought of Orihime throwing a projectile at him so he swiftly leaned back so that his hands touched the ice. He continued back until the rest of his body followed, going from a handstand back to standing. It is called a backwards handspring. Shigeru continued this fluid evasive maneuver thrice, quite quickly due to his lower body training.

Orihime Inoue

Orihime tilted an eye for Jae as she shouted, she certainly was a rather loud one, constantly announcing things like that could make battle difficult for her in the future. Though Orihime would simply retrieve a simple kunai from her pouch and toss it at the one Jae had tossed, somewhat sporadically. She didn't even attempt to aim it, to busy diverting her eyes. Sadly, that was still not the way she performed. They constantly took her for an Uchiha, that was a mistake. Either way the two kunai would clash, Jae's tagged one and Orihime's regular one. There was certainly an explosion to follow, after all that is what tags did. "ohhh Shigeru~ such a fantastic body to perform that flip~ I'd love to see it sometime." A smile spread across her face as she spoke. Her right hand slowly sliding about her cheek before wrestling with her hair. A shame he wouldn't look at her, really a shame. She couldn't get a proper look at those eyes.

Once Shigeru found balance, he stood hesitant for a second, not being able to see. Suddenly, there was an explosion nearby, he could feel the heat and the push. Shige could no longer stand by and let Orihime slowly play upon his gender's desires. "Where is she, Jae?" Shigeru called out to Jae.

Jae had expected their enemy to do as much. It wasn't surprising. Shigeru called out to her then, asking her where the enemies position was. Judging the distance between the woman's shadow and Shigeru's current position she would have to say it was a big gap to close. "She's about fifteen feet in front of you." Jae said, tying to judge and failing miserably at that. If she kept on calling out things to him, wouldn't that put him in even more danger?

Orihime Inoue

Fifteen feet huh She would hear the young girl shout. Their combination would not work so well this way. There would always be the lag of hearing her position and being able to react to such a thing. "Oh Shigeru ..." Orihime would speak softly as she retrieved a kunai. Her voice would merely ring next to his ear as she continued to speak "...you are so very handsome ..." She secured the kunai to the wire and let it loose. Having stood constantly in her original position, but her voice still remained beside Shigeru. Her idle footsteps would dig into the soft snow beside Shigeru. To a blind person, by all means she would be there if by sound alone. "Leave these two, and come with me .. please Shigeru~"

Shigeru heard Jae tell him where it was that Orihime was standing. Ok. Not so far.. Shige tried to imagine Orihime where Jae had described. Once he felt comfortable with the distance, something surprised him, sending a small chill down his back. Orihime's voice was so near, beside him. She continued to try and flatter him. It was slowly working. She seemed less hostile and much more welcoming. Shigeru could almost feel her next to him, her mouth to his ear. Orihime was beautiful and gentle as it seemed. She haad not done anything against him so far. Maybe she isn't a bad person. Shigeru thought as his eyes followed the sound of her footsteps beside him. "W-why?" Shigeru blurted out before he could stop himself.

Jae could see the shadow cast by the kunai, even more noticeable against the bright white of the snow. There had to be some other way to fight. Reaching into her pouch, she produced three small shuriken. Spreading them out in a fan like manner between her fingers she aimed it at her enemies shadow and sent them flying in her general direction "Move!" She told Shigeru, warning him of the oncoming danger. What is he doing!!!! Jae was growing even more frustrated than before. She couldn't leave this up to him. He was falling for it over and over again.

Orihime Inoue

Orihime merely took a slight leap to the side as the sloppily thrown shuriken came soaring in her direction. Her right hand pressed to her ear and caught the message. She had let Shigeru distract her, her genjutsu failed for just a moment but it was enough to end it. "Oh Shigeru~ you'll be mine one day." She held a single hand seal as her body began to illuminate itself, bursting into an array of light perfume and sakura blossoms. She had left swiftly without a trace of her to be seen. Her boss wasn't going to be happy about this failure.

Shigeru heard Jae shout for him to move and he reacted but too slowly. Shige shook as he was struck by a projectile. He gasped as it entered his abdomen. Shige stood frozen with shock as he felt the warm blood flow from the puncture and soak his shirt. It was then that he heard Orihime's sweet voice speak of having him in the future. To Shigeru, the future did not seem so important anymore. He slowly removed the headband from his eyes with unsteady hands, struggling to keep balance as he stood. He looked down at the kunai in his lower torso and saw that it was attached to a metal wire. Shigeru took grip of the knife's handle and immediately felt a shock of pain. Something then surged inside him up to his throat. Blood spilled from his mouth. Compared to the ink that covered his body, it was a mere shimmer down his neck and onto his coat. Stupid. Unworthy. Pathetic. Shigeru began to feel the failue of his mission and the failure to himself. He had fallen victim to the enemy's tactics and had let the Yukikage down. His pain no longer flowed from his wound but from deep within himself. Shige forced himself to stand, grunting and breathing heavily. Staying on his feet was the last piece of dignity that he had left.

As she watched their enemy disappear, Jae finally felt safe enough to leave Nakura's side. Unfortunately, Jae had not been quick enough in her instruction and it had gotten Shigeru injured. She was at his side in seconds, practically forcing herself underneath his arm as a prop so that he would not lose his footing. "I told you to move! We need to get back to the village quickly." Jae was worried. She should feel glad that their enemy was gone but there was now the chance that Shigeru could bleed out before they got home. She was no medical nin and therefore had no idea what to do in a situation such as this, other than applying pressure to the wound.

Nakura Seishin

Nakura rose after the short rest and followed suit beside Jae. She would raise one of his arms and toss it about her shoulders, using it to support him as she stood. "You two did alright ..." Though Jae's advice was best, they should return swiftly to the Village and get Shigeru's wound treated before it got even worse.

When Jae had reached Shigeru, he was crying. His tears easily sliding off the oil in the ink. He could feel Jae support him but made no effort to move. "I failed." Shige said, his eyes cloudy and slightly closed. "I couldn't do anything. I couldn't kill the enemy in the forest and I couldn't kill my enemy here." He shook his head slightly. "I let everyone down." Crisis..Shigeru began to feel cold around his wound. He dismissed it as the icy winds of the plateau. "Did you know I shook the Yukikage's hand today?" Shigeru whispered, not looking to Jae, his eyes set in the distance, half closed. "I looked him in the eyes and we shook hands.." Shigeru trailed off near the end of his sentence as Nakura took another of his arms. Now I will never be able to look him in the eye again. Shigeru's legs gave way under him, gravity trying to pull him down to where he belonged. [Exit to Yukigakure]
