To me, it is a word that describes something that is as close to 'perfect' as anything can ever get.
Since, you know, nothing can ever be 'perfect'.

It's all personal preference, really; there aren't any specific standards that I can think of.
Like, I personally think forget-me-nots are beautiful, but someone else could think that they are totally hideous.
