I personally hate Vocaloid. Because we hear them in Japanese, we can't really tell notice their syntax faults and just hear pretty notes. But listen to when they try to sing in English. Click! Now that our brains already recognize the language, we can focus on the sounds and it sounds like BAD karaoke! Other English samples Here and Here. Yes it's great technology, not exactly new since Microsoft Sam has been out for a while and used in music too. But not really great music and NOTHING compared to the human talent.
