Steel Thread Armory

The armory half to the Steel Thread artisan building, owned by a calm, nice, and foreign woman named Svetlana. Boasting a very thick Russain accent, she still manages to complete her work with very minimal confusion or vex.

Built sturdily, these goggles can absorb much more of a beating than needed, living at least a century after their usefulness. Comes with built-in .0001m-1600m (Roughly one mile) telescopic lens.

A set of three detachable lenses- nightvision, heatvision, x-ray vision, etc... (Any type of lens you can think of; aside chakra vision.)

Mechanic's Chakra Lens [x1]

A detachable lens that is capable of detecting the chakra network within a person's body. Although effective, this lens is less powerful and more vulnerable than the Byakugan eye.

Sneak's Earrings [x2]

A set of small round earrings that are actually poison smoke pellets.

STOLENCursed Mask [x1]
< 1000 Ryo >
A red, engraved mask with no mouth hole. While worn, it grants the wearer immunity to Genjutsu and Dojutsu below A-Rank, but drains an incredible amount of Chakra while doing so. It is extremely brittle, and drains 50 Chakra per post that it is worn. If the wearer’s Chakra runs out while the mask is still on, the wearer’s spirit will linger near the body until it either fades away or the mask is removed or broken.

A Jounin's jacket with pockets for weapons and scrolls. Provides decent protection for Jounin, and comes in a variety of shapes, styles, and colors. Armor Type: Medium.

Steel-Reinforced Jacket [x1]

A flak jacket that has been reinforced with a layer of steel, adding to the strength and durability of this piece of armor. Capable of protecting against most small projectiles and weapons aimed for the chest and neck. Armor Type: Medium.

Bomber’s Trench Coat [x1]

A trench coat made of flimsy-wavey materials. Thanks to its design, it disperses shockwaves from blasts rather well. Armor Type: Light, Medium against explosions.

Shadow Magic Robe [x1]

Despite its name, this garment contains no mystical properties, however its unique fabrics and design are the reason for such a title. The sleeves of this hard cloth robe are rather long, often hiding the arms. Because of this it is very easy for someone to hide scrolls or blades within them.

Bulletproof Vest [x1]

A vest padded to protect against small and medium sized projectiles. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a weight burden. Armor Type: Medium, Heavy against projectiles. Treated as heavy armor for determining penalties unless worn in a full set of medium armor.

Sentinel Vest [x1]
< 1600 Ryo >
An extremely durable vest padded multiple times in order to protect against all shapes and sizes of physical projectiles. Unfortunately, it's rather heavy. Armor Type: Heavy. Formless and Simple projectile techniques lose their descriptive increases when impacting this armor.

Tosei-gusoku [x1]
< 1500 Ryo >
A traditional samurai armor set. Very strong against Bukijutsu and Taijutsu attacks, but has brittle joints and is very heavy. Armor Type: Heavy. Any effects that would change the classification of a technique that hits this armor (i.e. Simple being treated as Complex) are negated, unless the damage inflicted is purely bludgeoning.

Specialty Armor [x1]
< 1500 Ryo >
A set of light, medium, or heavy armor built for a specific purpose. Examples include: steam armor (protects against steam), mobility armor (lessens one of the movement penalties by one step), strength armor (doubles movement penalties and protects as a rank higher; if applied to heavy armor, the wearer's speed is additionally treated as two ranks lower), anti-weapon (ignores any descriptive increases of one type of weapon and negates any non-armor descriptive decreases the user has when facing that weapon), insulated (protects against the elements), etc.

Meant for use among heavy machinery, these gloves can continue to function under adverse conditions and are known for their incredible durability. Armor Type: Light.

Steel Hand Gloves [x1]

A set of gloves with hard steel plate lining the palms. These plates are capable of withstanding a few direct hits from a heavy weapon. Armor Type: Medium.

Steel Arm Guard [x2]
< 500 Ryo >
A steel plate for the arm which is capable of protecting against most weaponry. Armor Type: Medium.

Blast Away Shield [x1]
< 200 Ryo >
A flimsy arm shield capable of absorbing explosive attacks pretty well- keeping one whole side of the owner safe! It typically breaks after absorbing one blow though. Armor Type: Light.

Chakra Dispersal Gloves [x1]
< 3500 Ryo >
Allows the user to disperse waves of pure chakra in order to nullify other manifestations of pure chakra. The amount of chakra used to disband must be ten plus the equivalent of the original chakra construct. ( If something is made with 100 chakra, 110 chakra must be used to disband it. )

Sealing Arm Brace [x1]
< 1000 Ryo >
A heavy brace that prevents the spread of infection, bodily or otherwise, through the area of the body surrounded by it. This effectively renders a limb immobile when placed on it. It is sealed shut by five locks, which are held in place by a one-time cost of 500 Chakra. While it is worn, all Taijutsu and Bukijutsu techniques cost 10 more Stamina to execute. Armor Type: Heavy, but does not apply any movement penalties due to the above restrictions.

Vambraces [x1]
< 2000 Ryo >
A set of two very heavy braces to be used primarily in Taijutsu training. When worn, they cost the user 20 Stamina extra for every Taijutsu or Bukijutsu technique executed, or a base of 5 Stamina per post of activity. After wearing them for 200 posts and at least two months, the extra cost disappears. Armor Type: Heavy. Wearers fully acclimated to these ignore up to 6 descriptive increases to an opponent's fortitude and treat opponent armor as one step lighter when striking with the vambraces.

The tailoring half of the Steel Thread artisan building, owned by the silent and ever-tired Gima. Although he's rather lazy, his work is well worth the wait.
Fortunately, he sometimes works alongside Svetlana in order to accomplish some projects.

Installs a radio device into a torso or helmet piece. On its own this is rather useless, but multiple communicators linked together assists squad synchronization.

Taser Knuckle [x1]

Installs the knuckles of a glove with a shocking system. Although not lethal, knuckle punches delivered by the gloved hand will deal additional electric damage, sear wounds, and numb nerves.

Snap Lighter [x1]
< 400 Ryo >
Installs flint patches on the thumb and middle finger of a single glove. When a hard snap is struck by the owner, a moderate flame will spark up. Keep away from gunpowder!

Sleeve Knife [x1]
< 500 Ryo >
Installs a very small cloth patch onto the inside of a sleeve. This patch contains a two inch wide extended blade. Unfortunately, the length is only about five inches.

Hidden Sheath [x1]
< 700 Ryo >
Installs a hard leather sheath into the inside of a torso piece's back. Because it is on the torso, and attempts to be concealed, only blads shorter than the wearer will work.

Arsenal of the Sleight Hand [x1]
< 800 Ryo >
Embroiders both sleeves of a torso piece with scroll glyphs which allow the displacement and storage of up to 20 small to medium sized projectiles each. Just don't forget, it's up to you to stock up!.

Peaceful Soles [x1]

Installs pads within shoes to lessen the noise made from walking or running.

Padded Soles [x1]

Installs pads within shoes to murmur the noise made from walking, running, or jumping.

» Oathcot

This special material can be requested during any garment construction. Oathcot is a very bland material that easily blends in and melds with other material types. Because of this, it is very easy for a designer to interlace Oathcot to make intricate patterns.

» Teflon
< +200 Ryo >
This special additive can be requested during any garment construction. Teflon prevents water and watery substances from latching to surfaces, pretty much making whatever it's applied to non-stick. Unfortunately, there are some things out there, like raw ink, that will stick to it.

» Shark Skin
< +300 Ryo >
This special material can be requested during any garment construction. Shark skin absorbs a good amount of abuse and as the name suggests, is native to watery climates. Physical impact and Suiton damage are reduced a bit, but probably not enough to make up for the shark skin being one ugly material!

» Efreet Skin
< +350 Ryo >
This special material can be requested during any garment construction. Efreet skin absorbs a good amount of abuse and as the name suggests, is native to heated climates. Physical impact and Katon damage are reduced a bit, and yet the material also offers a good amount of breathing room.

» Nitinol Alloy
< +800 Ryo >
This special material can be requested during any garment construction. Nitinol, or Nickel Titanium, is a durable metal alloy that can be applied in patches to garments. After all, if it were fully covered, you'd just have a suit of armor! A-anyway... Nitinol is typically applied to the chest area to prevent it from being easily sliced through, but can be placed on arms or legs as well.

Bast entered the Steel thread, and was instantly amazed with what surrounded her. The feeling faded, however, until she spotted the mechanic's goggles. She immediately grabbed the goggles and a bag of lenses, then thought better of it, and simply left.

Looking for two more specific items Silas walked into the store and asked for both. A man came back and said "Well the price for a communicator is 500 ryo." Silas' eyes almost popped out of his head and he wrote down the price, thanked the man, then left to find chakra blades!

Doku walked through the shop with some money to spend. She looked around, first looking over the various goggles and attachments. She grasped the Mechanic's Goggles, and then over to the lenses. Grabbing on to some of the lenses she smiled. She proceeded to walk over and grab a flak jacket and a trench coat, and finally ended up at the front desk. She gave them the proper money, and walked away.

Ganchou dropped in to grab the silent soled shoes as well. they would be invaluable in the next job. He moved on to the next shop.

The last stop o their little price hunt was the tailors shop, a place Akio would have to visit after he had a lot more money and time on his hands, but he did have enough time to pick up the price list. Or, make Isamaru do it, anyway. Akio stepped up to the counter and engaged some young foreign woman in conversation, her accent fascinating the sheltered Chuunin. "Excuse me, but me and my associate are out looking for price listing on flak jackets, would you be so kind as to provide him with such a list?" Akio smiled and went about some other business, such as looking for a new pair of pants. His were dirty.

Isamaru wanted something from this shop. He noticed a pair of pads that muffled sound when walking, running, or jumping. Isamaru had to have them. He put the money infront of the rather lazy looking clerk and then strolled over to the foriegn lady Akio was talking to. She looked pretty good herself. "Hello~" He said sliding next to Akio and putting on a pair of sunglasses. Isamaru was smoothe like that. "Can I have a list of your wares madam." He said calmly he brushed hair from his face, which he never did. When she simply brought him out the list Isamaru nodded and tilted his glasses, and winked.

He walked back over to the other tailor who had the same lazy expression on his face. Isamaru noticed his soles were there too. "Ahh 500 Ryo is it?" Isamaru said dropping one more coin onto the pile and placing the mufflers under his feet. He jumped to the sound of amuffled landing. "Sweet." Isamaru gave Akio the thumbs up for hitailing it out of here.

Shigeru had finally reached a not so extravagant shop. The Steel Thread. Apparently it took commissions and offered special armor and accessories that were only sold there. Shige entered and immediately spotted a few customers. They were not as interesting as the young artisan behind the counter. Beside her was a man who seemed to specialize in tailoring. Shigeru stepped forward to the woman and asked what they had to offer. Shige was shown a great catalog of armor and clothing. Many looked very formidable and expensive. He found armor that was sold in a set and that had been made only once, to increase value. The design was magnificent and almost as pleasantly foreign as Svetlana herself. Shigeru decided to take it, a set of Two Steel Arm Guards and a Nitinol covered raiment. both blue in color. It came to a total of 1300 Ryo, leaving Shigeru with only 200 Ryo. He felt no remorse as he began to recreate himself. Thanking the artisans, Shigeru left the armory and headed for a hair cut.

Howaido arrived to the two and waved looking around at their items, they had a few new things. They were happy to see a repeat customer always meant their merchandise was good, he picked out a few goods here and there and then paid heartily for it.

Kein walked into the store and pulled his kimono from his back pack and handed it to the man behind the counter and said," You think you could fix this for me." The man grabbed the kimono and said," Yea have a seat it wont take me to long." Kein bowed his head and said," Thank you" He made his way around the shop jotting down the prices of some of the items for the Raikage and about an hour later the man emerged with his kimono back in perfect condition. Kein smiled and slid it on with a great deal of pride. He happily paid the man and made his way back out.
