Herbal Furs Pharmacy

User Image
A rather pleasant little shop located at the dead center corner of the main streets. Herbal Furs' current owner is a delightful young woman who inherited it from her late grandfather. She alone heads both the pharmacy and pet shop that construct the small building.

___M e d i c i n e
_-_-_Curing what ails you.
Basic Antidote [x2]
< 150 Ryo >
A palm sized vial that contains a fast acting anti-poison agent. It almost instantaneously rids the user of the effects of basic light poisons. It should be noted that taking more than one in a short period of time can cause adverse effects.
• Can only be used once per battle- per person.
• Please see the Hazards Guide for limitations.

Enhanced Antidote [x2]
< 250 Ryo >
A palm sized vial that contains a fast acting anti-toxic agent. It almost instantaneously rids the user of the effects of medium poisons and toxins. It should be noted that taking more than one in a short period of time can cause adverse effects.
• Can only be used once per battle- per person.
• Please see the Hazards Guide for limitations.

Antidote Reagent Set [x1]
< 600 Ryo >
Contains six antidote reagent vials for many types of poisons and toxins, and provides instructions on how to make an antidote for someone that has recently been ingested. Unfortunately the appliance of these methods takes a good amount of time, and being disrupted during administration could worsen the poisons. Requires knowledge and tools for the specific hazard looking to be cured.
• Cannot be used while in battle.
• Please see the Hazards Guide for limitations.

Painkiller [x10]
< 200 Ryo >
Basic non-prescription painkiller. Take a couple to stop a headache.

Pain-Murderer [x10]
< 600 Ryo >
W-wait, can she sell these!? An extra-strength painkiller. Take one to abolish all pain in the body. Take a handful to... well... you don't wanna know.

Zombification Drug [x5]
< 750 Ryo >
W-what the hell are these!?! Those that take this drug go dim eyed, a bit loose-limbed, and even a stab to the shoulder wouldn't break this trance. A-are these even legal?
• Lasts one RP day. After usage, must be medically attended to.

First Aid Kit [x1]
< 500 Ryo >
Includes several hypodermic needles, a few scalpels, a sanitation kit, and tools to stop bleeding. Most everything a normal medic would need.

Field Medic's Kit [x1]
< 750 Ryo >
Includes several types of hypodermic needles, precession scalpels, sanitation kits, adrenalin boosters, and even cauterizing tools. Most everything a war medic would need.

Smelling Salts [x1]
< 200 Ryo >
Particularly foul-smelling rocks, usually kept sealed in a glass container no bigger than a marble. Can be used to rouse the unconscious or sleeping. Dispels smell-based Genjutsu D-Rank and lower.

Focus Pad [x5]
< 500 Ryo >
A soft cotton pad that focuses Eiseijutsu onto the areas covered by it. This drastically reduces recovery time after being treated with Eiseijutsu.

Medical Suit [x1]
< 100 Ryo >
A cheap, white set of sterilized clothes to be worn by medics. Nine out of ten doctors agree that this is a bodacious way to cut down on mortality rates.

Energy Carrot [x1]
< 100 Ryo >
An ingredient in Soldier Pills. When eaten as a part of a dish, it will fully restore the Chakra of the person who ate it after he or she sleeps for at least eight hours.

Elixir Mud [x1]
< 2500 Ryo >
A common ingredient among powerful medicines. When allowed to harden on a wound, it will greatly speed recovery. Minor wounds—such as cuts, bruises, and blisters—will heal within the day. Moderate wounds—such as gashes, burns, and shallow stab wounds—will heal fully within the week. Major injuries—such as deep stab wounds, frostbite, heavy burns, and broken bones—will heal at twice their normal rate if the mud is used alongside normal treatment methods. Will not work if ingested. If applied on an injured area before a healing medical technique is used, it will greatly increase the effectiveness of the technique. Slightly decreases the effects of offensive medical techniques. Comes in a 1 gallon glass jar, good for 50 uses.

Paralysis Herb [x1]
< 1500 Ryo >
If it comes into contact with a person’s body, this unprocessed herb will cause the body to shut down completely for half an hour. A large amount of this heavily processed herb is needed, as it is usually used as a sedative. The processed herb comes in a half-pint jar, good for ten uses. If the herb is ingested, it will fully paralyze a fully-grown man in less than a minute. Subjects tend to feel very cold during recovery.

Soldier Pills [x3]
< 500 Ryo >
Soldier pills are very bitter-tasting and restore 100 Chakra to the eater. If one were to eat two of them within a week, he/she would feel incredibly sore afterward. A third pill would immediately drop the eater’s Chakra pools to 1 and render them unconscious, at which point hospitalization is needed.

Hermit Chocolate [x3]
< 500 Ryo >
A small ball of chocolate that contains a very bitter-tasting medicine. Once eaten, it restores 100 Stamina. If one were to eat two of them within a week, he/she would feel incredibly fatigued afterward. A third chocolate would immediately drop the eater’s Stamina pools to 1 and render them unconscious, at which point hospitalization is needed.

Toxic Gas Bomb [x2]
< 400 Ryo >
A palm sized black ball that bursts into a wave of hellishly poisonous gas. Those that breathe in this gas for long enough (3 posts) will develop very sluggish behavior, then (6 posts) begin to feel horribly drowsy. The final stage (8 posts) is unconsciousness, followed by death (10 posts). Because gas isn't visible, this is an extremely difficult to dodge weapon.

Chili Pepper Bomb [x5]
< 400 Ryo >
Exported from the Hidden Tree Village, these bombs are infused with heavy amounts of chili powder. When they explode, they do no immediate damage and function as smoke bombs; however, when inhaled, they cause a great deal of pain to anyone not accustomed to spicy food. This pain can be used to break out of a Genjutsu, but repeated or prolonged exposure results in diminishing effects and damage to the eyes, mouth, and lungs.

Herbal Furs Pets

User Image
Because Herbal Furs is such a small location in comparison to the other shops in Takumi, the front desk where Mi-na stands operates as the register for both medicine and pets alike.
Beyond Herbal Furs' shelves of medicine and other drugery lies perfectly attended to glass or aired shelters for an incredible variety of animals. Most any type of pet you could imagine awaits here- hoping for a new loving master.

Animals Rules
• Animals of the tamer class have their own benefits and limitations associated within the disciplines.
• Tamers do not need the instruction manuals to teach their pet, while those outside of the tamer class do.
• Only after the animal has been "disciplined and domesticated" by learning the guides may they become a ninja pet.
• When the animal ranks up, they gain +3 Jutsu slots
• Ninja Pets may only reach the rank of jounin
• Ninja Pets can perform up to chunnin training missions.
• Only one [1] combat ninja pet may be owned and used by a character.

___G u i d e s
_-_-_Training manuals to help tame your pets.
Animal Ears [x1]
< 200 Ryo >
There are many kinds of animal ears, and there are many fans of them. When worn, these ears make the wearer indistinguishable from the animals the ears represent; if a set of cat ears are worn, cats will treat the wearer as another cat. While this does not change the wearer’s form or allow conversing with creatures in their languages, it is effective against trained Shinobi animals up to Chuunin-rank. Even if the ears are worn, the wearer will still not be able to affect the actions of rampaging animals or those that have received training as Shinobi.

Domestication and You [x1]
< 100 Ryo >
A simple manual to train animals so that they don't pee on the furniture. Requires 1 post of training.

Pet Treats [x1]
< 200 Ryo >
A set of ten tasty treats that animals like. Animals become more attached to the person who feeds them these treats. Feeding a Treat to an animal in training grants a -1 reduction. Only one treat may be fed to the animal per post, less you destroy its diet.

Vocal C. Training [x1]
< 500 Ryo >
This guide is used to help the owner develop vocal commands which their pet will hear and understand. Requires 2 posts of training.

Gesture C. Training [x1]
< 500 Ryo >
This guide is used to help the owner develop physical gesture commands which their pet will see and understand. Requires 3 posts of training.

Holding your Ground! [x1]
< 800 Ryo >
This guide is used to teach animals of all sized to act defense and threatening when someone or something unfamiliar enters its marked/familiar territory. Requires 4 posts of training.

Barks, Yelps, and Whines [x1]
< 800 Ryo >
This guide is used to teach animals how to control their barks and cries in certain circumstances. Ninja animals are sometimes able to develop very basic human languages through this method. Requires 5 posts of training.
___▬ ▬ ▬
Animal Ninja Training [x1]
< 1500 Ryo >
This scroll enable the animal to tap into their inner ninja, granting them 6 starting jutsu slots. This process is tedious, and requires 8 posts of training, but grants the animal the rank equivalent of a gennin. This animal is now treated as a new ninja, starting with 0 AC, and must perform missions to rank up accordingly. All guides must be purchased and trained before this scroll may be purchased.

Silas walked in and asked the receptionist "What is your price on Anti-Venom kits?" The woman looked around and then turned back to Silas and spoke.

"Sorry little boy we don't sell those, I'm pretty sure no one sells "Anti-Venom kits" but we have antidotes!" The woman told Silas the prices and Si left to go find the other items.

User Image When Noel entered the shop he was hit with the smell of animals and the some good/not so good smells of the herbs that wafted about the place. Once the child entered the small establishment he was greeted by a friendly woman that stood about the corner. Noel returned with a friendly little wave as he hobbled himself over to her,"Excusez-moi madame... Do zou 'ave any potions zhat vould ztop poison?" He asked as the enthusiastic woman nodded and placed a plam sized vial in front him. As the boy picked it up and looked it over, the woman spoke about the antidote being able to practically rid him of poisonous effects within an instant. Thinking about going into the career that he was, the child nodded and affirmed in purchasing that item. The just as Noel reached for his wallet the child's large amber eyes caught sight of the very thing he was wanting to cure. After asking what it was, the child's eyes gleamed at hearing that it was poisonous powder that dissolves in water. Adding that into his tab, the child would make note of coming back to this establishment in the new future and purchase some of the more expensive items. After paying the needed and required funds of 400 ryo. It took every bit of cent the Noel had earned but with what he had purchased... it was indeed a pretty good investment. Placing the items into his duffel bag like usual, Noel decided to book a room at one of the hotels in the main city. He was sure he could get a little place to stay before finding another mission or job that he could take to continue to build up his funds.

[from Scribes and Scrolls]

Akio walked into the herbal store, not expecting it to function as an pet place as well. It seemed to be a little reckless to mix pets and poison, but he didn't feel it was his place to criticize their products. Instead, he merely bought three pieces of poison for his weapons and left the store, his eyes set on the summoning isles. He'd probably go home after all that, ready for more missions and training.

Doku walked in and the first place she went to was the poisons and antidotes. This bomb would have to have some sort of horrible after affect. The girl grasped on to several vials of poison and some nice antidotes and then went to the counter, placing them down. In the corner of her eye, she saw two peculiar animals that peaked her interest. She walked towards them, and reached in to the their cages. "I'll take these too. As well as that bird." She said as she pointed at the hawk that was staring at her. She grabbed some manuals, and walked to the counter, buying everything.

The first stop, Herbal Furs, was a pleasant place. Even though they sold poison and attack animals, the woman at the front desk was cheerful and nice, something Akio found to be wonderful when working with other people, something he missed when talking to Isamaru. "Excuse me ma'am, but my name is Akio, and I'm here doing some checks on the prices in the market, could you please provide my associate with your entire price and item list?" Akio was kind and cheery, for once, probably only with this store owner. She looked too young to withstand his scathing personality.

Isamaru frowned. He wanted to socialize with the girls around here. You never know when you'd get another chance. He decided to suck it up. Looking upon the animals in the store, Isamaru thought they were adorable. He took down the prices on everything with a price tag on it. Isamaru was finished quicker than he was on any date. He patted Akio on the back, winked at the register girl. And walked out to the next shop.

~ Suzume Kinjo ~ Kumogakure ~ Genin ~ Bukijutsu ~

Following Kein to the pet store, Suzume decided to look around and see what they had. There seemed to be a variety of different breeds and some that she had never seen before. There were plenty that were cute and even a couple that were ugly... although still cute. It was only natural since puppies were always supposed to be cute. There was also a variety of other animals that were available as companions but Suzume stuck with the puppies.

One in particular caught her eye. It was in with a whole litter of other just like it but this one stood out. Suzume guessed that it was a male and the information on the side of the display said that they were the German Shepherd breed and were a good choice as ninja animals. Smiling softly, the red head watched the small puppy wobble over to her and stare back. He was certainly cute and he seemed quite intelligent... hopefully he would still be here when she came back with an extra six hundred ryo.

It was quite a cute puppy, he was fuzzy and playful. Not to mention cute, especially with those big paws he had. Then Kein spoke up and Suzume's small smile went back to a frown. "I can't right now. I need to come back and get him after I earn some money on missions." It was too bad though, she was sure that this little guy would be bought up soon enough by another person.
