Setting: Dirt Road, forest surrounding, shady areas, sun only hits the road.

[Okay explaining what is going on, you just tried to prove yourself through a fight and lost. Find another way to prove your awesomeness]
Rebecca looked back to pandamon, then disappointedly to the boy whose face was resting under her boot. "It's not that I do not see any potential, you simply lack the presence to instill fear within my enemies," Rebecca took a breath before correcting herself,"Our enemies that is." The girl lifted her foot off the white-haired-prettyboy's face to take a step back and enjoy the scenery. Most secret meeting places were held in bars, or the middle of crowds while two secret agents awkwardly made out. In the digital world however, it was possible to pick such scenic locations as this without the worry of space lasers. Yes this all made sense in Rebecca's head. The attack on Network City had taken it's toll on her sanity. All those repressed emotions coming out at once, it would make any person a bit more eccentric. Evidenced by the giant panda that was now following behind Rebecca, in place of her normal partner Agumon. "Have you ever wondered why the beatles were such a sucess?" Rebecca questioned, approaching the boy who lay fallen on the ground. The forest around them was not as beautiful as Rebecca had once observed. Many of the trees had been uprooted, and the greenery burnt in their recent fight. Attacking the girl head on was not much of an option any more, she had gotten used to relying on ancientgreymon's power to vanquish her foes. In her hero days, Rebecca took pride in Omegamon, the lord of all knights. Now she rarely utilized Agumon's ability to take that form, preferring to summon a giant dragon to burn her foes into oblivion. The thought was rather disturbing. If Rebecca had time to think about it, instead her mind was wrapped up in her counterattack plans. She had definitely changed since Network city, and whether these were for the best only time would tell. "The beatles knew how to utilize there assets, they put the weakest link in the back. Will you end up in the back, like Ringo?" She asked, stepping on the boy's face once more. She was interested to see how the boy would react. Rebecca did not judge her peers on their fighting ability, rather their resolve.

Toru winced as he laid face first on the ground. Blood came running down his face over his eyes. There was a deep pain in his side and all over he couldnt help but wince. He shifted his eyes over to ToyAgumon who lay face first as well. He had apparently taken a huge part in the battle as well. Even in his mega form he still was beat. It was over for them but he needed to prove himself. This was completely against his style to lose in a fight. He never lost before he was the best in his class at the boot camp. But he was also very good at strategy and odds. It didnt seem good on his end and favored the womens end. He could feel the boot pounding on his face as she took each step. He had to find a way out of this he wasnt going to lose. He needed to prove himself. Coughing he spit up some blood as he grabbed he leg. Slowly he pushed her foot off his face. Normally a person would scream in pain but instead he was laughing. Slowly he pushed himself off the floor with his face still facing towards the ground. He didnt know why but he started to laugh harder. So hard when he slung his body up he almost was arching backwards. "You think you be at me....." Straightening himself back into the normal position he looked at Rebecca still looking up at the sky from his previous laughter. He gave her a smile showing her his white pointed teeth. "You think you can stop me...." His smile widened as he put his hands in his pockets and lowered himself into a squatted position. "You may bash me into the ground..." He spat out some blood to the side. "You may kick me into the trees!" He gave her an evil stare. "But I will never lose" He turned to ToyAgumon and called out to him. "Oi! ToyAgumon!...Get up...we arent dont yet." He smiled as he saw his digimon lift himself off the ground and nod. With that he took out his digivice and snickered. "Actually we just started....dont count me out cause i wont fall behind"

Rebecca gave an exhausted sigh, so far nothing seperated this child from every other determined sap who wanted to make a hero of himself. Jumping straight into battle, making declarations of determination. Sure Rebecca partook in heroic activities from time to time, rambled on about dreams, but those were under fully aware of the irony. The girl who feared showing her true face to others was intrigued, what lay under the boy's determination. Fear, Strength, Darkness, Light, one could only know another's true face after they have smashed the mask covering. Rebecca had no choice, she would smash the mask. Rebecca flipped open her card case, drawing five cards in one elegant stroke. "We just started, you could at least come with better material," Rebecca exhaled, her boredom becoming more apparent. This was all to antagonize her opponent of course. Rebecca knew from past experience, those controlled by their anger were only weakened by it. "Something like, it's time to kick a** and chew bubble gum, or even a counter to my earlier ringo line, just 'Don't Count Me out,'" Rebecca was shaking her head, unconciously moving the five cards between her fingers as if about to pull off a trick. "How dull," Rebecca threw the cards at Toru, expecting him to catch them. "The terms are this, if you can defeat my Pandamon using only those five cards and your rookie form I will let you in. In the spirit of fair play, pandamon will only defend and counter," She explained the rules slowly, incase Toru was hard of hearing. In reality she was giving the boy time to analyze the cards. The first had a picture of a large hammer on it, the second a stone-skin effect, the third two guitars, the fourth an agumon using pepper breath and the final bore a hazard sign. This test would liven things up a bit, something Rebecca was desperately in need of. The magician had been in hiding since the Network City incident, if she were to ever build up forces for a counterattack it would start now. Pandamon took a step forward, an intense look on it's face. The digimon never said a word, but Rebecca understood him regardless. Even his odd taste for christmas hats.

Seeing that Rebecca was not impressed with his rays of curae he would have to show her in other means. Standing up he looked over at ToyAgumon and sighed and took in a deep breath. He would have to prove himself here and now. Raising his hands he caught the cards and looked at them fully analyzing their features. The strengths and the weaknesses of the cards would have to do him right even though there was only five of them. Everyone of the cards seemed simple enough to use. The first a hammer which means that a digital hammer would be created. The next could be used for purely defense or in a case can be used for offense. Then there were the two guitars. These were interesting to him and would probably be a decoy/ distraction like card. The Fourth was simple enough which was the pepper breath. The final though made him wonder. He held this card up and looked at it. He didnt know what the hazard sign meant nor did he know how to use it. Knowing it will have to be a last resort card he would keep it off to the side. "ToyAgumon..." He called out getting the attention of his digimon. "You are going to have to trust me on this one...." He smiled and brought the first card up to his face and let a devilish smile produce. "Now then lets begin!" As he said this he brought his digivice in front of his body and swiped the card through letting the card take effect.

ToyAgumon seeing the action has begun darted forward with his arms at his side. Unlike some of the regular ToyAgumon he was quicker than most. Toru and he would use this to their advantage. Charging forward to the Pandamon with the weird looking Santa Hat, he felt the card charge him internally feeling a warmth fill up his stomach. He knew exactly what Toru's plan was and will go through it until the end. Letting the warmth fill to his throat he released it to surround the Pandamon. But the fire was not used to attack, if it did that was a plus. He was using it to smoke out the area and make vision impossible. Then ToyAgumon leaped into the air away from the smoke to come down on top of the Pandamon.

Toru seeing that the plan was going accordingly drew out the second card. Knowing that he was using two cards so early into battle could be seen as not a smart move. But to him it was going to help him. He sees each card as more than just attack and defense. He can see the cards used in many situations that not only affects the enemy but also the surrounding area. He smiled and drew threw the next card.

ToyAgumon who was falling fast on top of the Pandamon stretched out his arm and let the next card take effect. This time a stream of digital information erupted from his hand taking form of a hammer. The hammer was colossal and looked kind of like the mallets that you would see in a cartoon. Grabbing the hilt he brought the hammer over head. Then he struck down on the Pandamon using the momentum of his fall and the weight of the hammer to boost the strength and speed of the attack.

"Trust. What an absurd concept. We're just rolling down the list of cliche's now are we not?" Rebecca was taunting, it was an actor's talent to provoke powerful emotions from their audience. The girl had become slightly enertained watching the boy, but there was still nothing to separate him from the others. The typical riff-raff that filled the digital world, all expecting to become the world's chosen hero. Instead they were all only tamers, those who held digimon without becoming digi-destined. There existed a wall which separated those who held digimon and those destined for greatness. A wall Rebecca had yet to cross. Rebecca could not help it, her mind tended to wander when it was not fully occupied. The strategy picked by her opponent was so basic. The girl would keep her word, Pandamon would only defend and counter. Still, she felt the urge to end this conflict before it could become duller. "There is one term I can afford thee Toru, thou art a villian," Rebecca recited, lacking her usual spark of intrigue. After uttering these words the girl decided it would be best to actual pay attention to her fight. The Toy digimon Freddy face was readying a fireball, if his engorged cheeks had any say of it. A rookie attack such as Pepper Breath would hardly scratch a digimon of Freddy's caliber. Then it was most likely Toru was attempting a combo. "Freddy, redirect a bamboo punch to the ground," Rebecca shouted, quick and concise. For the moment, she could not afford to taunt.

The panda digimon nodded, his expression deadpan. Freddy considered himself a man of few words. Some things were just too embarrassing to say. The bear would never admit he had joined Rebecca simply to be surrounded by other digimon which he could call friend, or his name was not actually Freddy. However fighting was something Freddy understood, it was in his nature. Since his birth he had been fighting to survive. Despite the human interference in the digital world, the overriding rule of survival of the fittest still lay in effect. Freddy could understand his trainer's intentions in this sort of exam. It was sink of swim. If Toyagumon could not perform, he had no other choice than erasing it. In the digital world those wishing to become heroes either stuck to their ideals and were erased, or chose to do evil and were glorified because of it. A lot of thoughts were racing through the normally silent bear's mind. In this time he had let the enemy execute his plan, and was now surrounded by an eerie smoke. Pandamon gathered a green aura around both of his claws. In one solid movement he raked his claws across the open soil, unleasing the bamboo fist. Underneath his feet a small grove of bamboo plants sprouted, launching him skyward. The smoke had yet to rise here, and Pandamon could make out his surroundings.

Rebecca smirked, hinting at some form of impressment. That is, encouragement for her Pandamon. Toru was still dull as ever. Yet to reach his potential as an old kung-fu master may say. Rebecca flexed her fingers, curling them around empty air. She had yet to reveal her digivice. It was too much of a risk, the colors of a digivice often revealed one's true nature. Rebecca did not trust this individual just yet. Now that she had a moment's reprieve she could not help but taunt yet again. "Toru, thou art a villian, but you lack the qualities of a true super villian. Tell me, if thou wishes to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies what is the key?"

Pandamon was wary of Toru's followup attack. There were only four cards left for the tamer to choose, and one of them would turn the tide quickly. Pandamon disliked losing, in the old digital world a loss meant total erasure. Digimon may reincarnate, but there old personality and memories would be lost forever. With the digivice, Pandamon was allowed a bit of room for error, but losing was still a dishonor. The digimon looked up to see Toyagumon falling down on him, carrying a rather large hammer. For once Freddy agreed with his tamer, what a dull choice. Quickly the pandamon broke off a peace of bamboo as a makeshift staff. In one stroke he slammed the staff onto the opposing hammer. His intentions was not to block the shot, but to redirect the energy causing enough friction for the hammer to fall out of Toyagumon's hands.

Toru stood up from his squatted position and swayed a little. He was still in pain from the last battle. He smiled and laughed. "That is why I am different from you...." He gave her a evil stare. How could she possibly be so strong without trusting a digimon? "Trust is everything.....how could you possibly you can win a fight without trusting you partner and your team?" He laughed. "You might think me as naive and basic but you are wrong." He looked at her now with a calm face. His mask was back in its rightful place it wasnt destroyed anymore. "That is why I know i am going to show you that you are wrong." He looked at the remaining three cards in his hand and studied them. He didnt know what to do with the last two cards. The stone skin will be his defense, but the others were still a mystery to him. "ToyAgumon get ready" It was now or never it was time that he would use the cards and cut loose. He looked at the guitar and then the hazard sign and saw something interesting. There was a pattern on both the cards that seemed exactly the same. Looking up from the cards he smiled. The cards worked together their effects complement each other. Now it was time to check to see what they could do. Taking the two cards he drew them threw his digivice simultaneously and then looked at his digimon to see what would happen but nothing happened.

Then in his hand as he was looking around to make sure that it wasnt an outside effect card, his digivice buzzed and numbers streamed across the screen. Then a light errupted from the digivice. Not knowing what was going on he grabbed at the digivice and a light washed over him. The when the light passed he looked at himself. His body was now covered in red and where the digivce used to lay guitars took their place. It was interesting as he looked about himself then he put on a smile. "ToyAgumon...." His voice came out different and robotic. "Cover me" As he said this he charged in with the guitars raised and ran in a circle around the pandamon creating a blur.

"Trust is nothing, it can be betrayed and shattered instantly. True partners do not rely on trust to fuel their relationships, they simply have faith in one another," Rebecca had crossed the line, she was no longer taunting. The girl did not appreciate being lectured on anything, especially trust. An issue she already has issues with. Rebecca had trust in her digimon, for sure, she just found the concept ridiculous. Absoloute trust in another was the furthest state from the truth, those who relied on others were only asking to be betrayed. Whether or not it was the mask, or Rebecca herself who thought this was yet to be seen. "Of course a child would have such naive concept of the world. It isn't until one feels true hardship that they begin to mature. This world is after all, sink or swim. . .' Rebecca stopped mid-rant to notice that the boy was now smiling, his digivice glowing. She smiled in turn, at least the boy had picked up something from her teachings.

Glee filled the girl as she watched the boy surround her Pandamon. This battle may have been a slow boil, but it was finally starting to heat up. That was a bit tortured. She thought, walking to where the boy had dropped the last unused card. Stone-skin, the battle was not completely lost yet. Though it was unorthodox for humans to fight alongside their digimon, utilizing the spirits of past one could harness the power to fuse human DNA and Data. It was a rather complex process. Rebecca had been experimenting with it quite a bit. The form Toru was in right now, it was a pure energy being on-par with agunimon. Unlike the flame spirit evolutions though, this form was highly unstable. Power fluctuated wildly, and it held a one use per card limit. Still Rebecca admired the boy somewhat, rashness and bravery were two seperate things. Rebecca scanned Stone-skin through her digivice,"DIGI-MODIFY!" Pandamon became unable to move, but his skin was as hard as rock. It would be interesting to see how her opponent responded to this.

Toru continued to circle in a fast pace so fast that it seemed to create and illusion. The illusion that he was surrounding the pandamon with multiple forms of him. All of the red with a yellow devilish smile. His face twitched a bit as he saw that Rebecca used one of his last cards that he must have dropped. Letting out a scream that bellowed across the area it would have shaken anyone. "TOYAGUMON!" The scream was def-defying and ear splitting. As he said this he raised his guitars (which seemed like all of the illusions did so) into the sky and waved them and pointed both of them at the pandamon that was now covered in stone. "LETS SHATTER THE STONE...." Crouching down into a deep squat he launched himself at the pandamon. striking left and right with the guitars. Only to go back into the outer circle of Toru's. A person who would be looking on the outside would see it at multiple people moving in and attacking leaving the attack and going back into the circle. This would only lead back to another assault of Toru's. After the barrage of attack Toru leaped to where he was directly underneath the pandomon and stuck upward with both guitars. At the same time Toyagumon leaped above the pandamon and let out a barrage of mullian punches and fancy stars that were in sinc with Toru's upward strike.
