Darker as in the skin itself has in increase in pigmentation? That's. . . . . . a medical mystery!
Now if you mean the hair, then that's just life! The only advice I can recommend is to try waxing instead of shaving. There is no point in bleaching hair you're going to remove anyways. (and if it is the skin getting darker, skin bleach is unsafe and a proven carcinogenic, so you're stuck confused )

I recommend waxing. Lasts much longer, so you don't have to shave every week or so, nor keep worrying about it.

I have no problem with shaving, but, forgive me if I'm n00b, doesn't waxing your armpits damage your skin rather bad? And doesn't it hurt quite a lot?

Both shaving and waxing your pits "damage" your skin because deodorant enters the cuts and opened pores and that causes a whole bunch of problems. But that's just part of life, hun -- most of your body hair gets darker and there's nothing really you can do about it that's not too pricey nor silly.

Josephine the Harpist I recommend waxing. Lasts much longer, so you don't have to shave every week or so, nor keep worrying about it. Ick. More like every DAY!

Not to worry you or anything, but I went to my dermatologist's a few months ago and he said that darkening armpit skin can be an early sign of diabetes. You may want to see a doctor, just to make sure.
If it's the hair, though, that's normal.

There are some deodorants that can "remove" your "dark armpits". But i like it better when its just simple , so you can use lemons/limes and rub it into your armpits. Then , just wipe out any excess and you're done! You can actually use lemons/limes like a deodorant and baby powder as well , it will only remove the stinky odour but it wont prevent sweating ,unfortunately. Also, I recommend plucking your underarms instead of shaving. I hope it was helpful ! mrgreen
