There were some instances were the gnomes were a bit too helpful. Upon hearing about Rosciel's condition, the gnomes began to quietly pool their money together.

Chances were the incubus wasn't too thrilled to find a jar waiting for him in his dorm with two (not quite) mis-matched eyes floating in some sort of mysterious liquid along with a note mentioning that these were for him. The letters were made in many different exciting colors, which honestly would have made Rosciel wish he was blind if he could see them.

Don't Talk To Me - Rosc is pretty much a pain in the a**. He's definitely the basic idea of a bad-boy, mostly because he really just doesn't give a damn. When he's allowed to, he acts aloof and tries to ignore everyone around him (Or at least appear so), something of a slacker, but when forced to interact, he's rude, temperamental, and really an all-around jerk. For the most part he tries to keep that quiet manner, but if one tries to engage him, he/she get the full force of his attitude.

Hitting the Books - The only thing he really does pay attention to on a regular basis is school. It's just really difficult to tell when a student is paying attention if, well, they don't have eyes.
Contrary to what his slacker-like actions would insinuate, he does want to learn how to be a better demon, he just doesn't want to compete for the tippy-top, plus it's simply in his nature to not look like he's trying. To him, competition is dangerous, even deadly when you go too far. He's perfectly fine being number 2... or 20... or 200, as long as it keeps his limbs attached.

Still An Incubus - He has his moments of a charming attitude, usually with someone he can feed on regularly. Or it could just be someone he singles out, one can never really tell with him. He'll engage in conversation, compliment, even sweet-talk, though mostly just with girls. When it all comes down to it, he's still an incubus and it gives him a rush to toy with their emotions.

In short, he likes to pick and choose who to interact with and despite everything, he's still naturally attracted to females. He's still highly distrustful of them and doesn't like anyone, male or female, at his back. The moments of charming attitude are his natural inclination to be near someone with strong emotions, in his case strong desires.

Not Quite Blind - He is very touchy about his eyes, or lack-thereof. He doesn't like to show them off unless trying to scare or freak someone out since it wasn't something that came about naturally and still holds painful memories. While not having them might be an aid (No one can poke his eyes), his ability to see is still centered around the area where his eyes would have been had they not been removed. So if another creature with magic tries to poke them, his vision spell goes haywire and he's blinded for a moment. In reference to them, it's the only time when he's being perfectly honest. Beings of pure physical have no effect on them in this scenario.

You Have Unread Eee!-mail - Rosc has a pen-pal. How they met and when they started writing to one another is known only to them. Because their "relationship" is completely impersonal (No names, locations, etc. Nothing that can lead to identities being discovered), he holds this demon as a confidant while he in return listens to problems and gives advice in return.

Natural Abilities
Need
Rosc has a natural ability to guess what others want, which allows him to be more appealing if he can supply it to them. Its strength is measured by the strength of a person's longing for something, be it an item, a person, a result, etc. The stronger the longing, the easier it is for him to come to a conclusion of what it is they want without any verbal communication.

Skin Deep
In order to attract others better, Rosc is able to layer illusions on himself to be more what others would desire to see (If a human woman preferred a red-head, etc.). This is based on his knowledge, so he could get it wrong.
As a basic ability, he can only make minor changes and they might be incomplete in certain ways. For example, he could add eyes but they would be mostly see-through and change the color of his hair or wings, but no more than those two things.


FEAR Abilities
Y2 - What you see... (Headlights)
By using varying levels of FEAR, Rosc can generate an incorporeal illusion of another person's desires as a distraction (The bigger/more complicated things require more to create). If someone desires another person, he can manifest a copy of that person reaching out for them (At this point he cannot add sound) or something fulfilling the opponent's desire, if it's a thing then he can have it appear before them, etc. His illusions are only that, however, since there will always be something wrong about them (Mostly not touch-able, but as he learns to use it, it might be something in the appearance, sound, movement, etc.), something that shows it's not the real thing. This works easiest on weak-minded individuals or those whose desires are so strong. It can be a lot more difficult against those with strong minds or who only have weak desires ("Oh, I kinda want this, but don't really care either way" kind of thing). It can fail if Rosc cannot concentrate on forming the illusion or hasn't had the time to read the opponent.

Y1 - Healing Embrace (The Chill)
Combining what he’s learned about healing with his FEAR allows him to heal himself or another.
It manifests as a very grey mist that moves almost as if it was a sentient being, wrapping around the target to be healed. In large amounts, the mist billows from his wings and completely encircles the target, like a welcomed hug.

*Tapping into his natural and FEAR abilities is what allows him to "see," as it is one of his only desires, but as his illusions will always be flawed, he will never be able to truly see. On top of that, when he creates an illusion in a fight, his vision fades depending on the effort needed to put into the illusion (He can go anywhere from shapes being fuzzy to completely blind, depending on the tax it takes).

By concentrating very hard on printed words, he can make out the words well enough to read. Doing so tunes out his normal vision because he has to focus on the print, and concentrating so hard on it results in a headache (Hence why he doesn't like reading)

- Cello :: (Composing, playing)
Rosc sat on the seat carved into the wall below one of the windows in his room, settling the dark cello between his relaxed legs, leaving over slightly until his hand touched the smaller of the two bows he owned. Tonight wasn't a night for harsh riffs. Setting his left hand on the neck of the cello, he drew the bow across the strings and the melody poured into the room light a river once trapped by a dam. Up and down, his fingers moved, pulling shivering tones out of the notes with a quiver of one finger or another. There were still some things he could learn, but it was as if he'd been playing all his life.
And the music was his own, all his own.

As soon as he could walk after the attack, he trained. Once a week, then after a time twice, after some more time three times a week, until eventually almost every day had him in the salle for at least an hour, practicing with wooden swords and dummies by himself or real weapons with his mentor. Akariel would often intervene during solo practices.

Surprisingly enough, Rosc is very fond of his minipets. Because they depend on him and only have a concept of loyalty, specifically to him, he has no trouble letting them free in his room no matter what he's currently doing. More often than not, they're found on his bed with him when he sleeps, Prancer at the foot because of his size.

++Ripley - The Curious
Ripley gets into EVERYTHING. She's a very pleasant, affectionate foxsquirrel, and spends most of her time sticking her nose where it shouldn't go. She's often the cause of Bob getting out of the closet, for as soon as she goes running in there to find something interesting or follow Alvilda for some reason unbeknown to Rosc, out comes the blasted crow.
She's the only one that wants to leave Rosc's room that has his permission to do so. If Prancer goes about, Rosc doesn't know about it half the time and if he could forbid Bob from ever leaving his room, he would in a heartbeat. Ripley, on the other hand, is usually allowed to ride about curled up in Rosc's coat pocket as long as she behaves herself.

Ban - The Trickster++
Ban is by far Rosc's favorite, mostly because she was a gift from his "brother" and a pretty good mixture of Ripley's enthusiasm and MC's laid-back attitude. She's know to play tricks on anyone she can, except for Rosc. She's loyal to her master and often chases the other minipets around if they are causing trouble.
... Well, she almost never playing tricks on Rosc. Every so often, she'll disappear and leave a Jackrabbit behind to mess up Rosc's room, mostly if she feels like he's been too boring lately, or not paying enough attention to her.
*Ban was a gift from Akariel. She was to replace him in encouraging Rosc into mischief-making.

++Nightingale - The Timid
Rosc doesn't know where Nightingale came from.
One evening, after the crazy field trip, Rosc came back to his room to find Ripley had gone exploring in the closet and MC and Ban were taking care of a very battered Wishing cat. MC must have made the decision that Nightingale needed Rosc's help more than he needed pampering, because after that night MC retreated to the closet (Likely to spend time with Thistle).
Nightingale is sweet, timid, and easily startled. She sort of clings to Rosc when he is in the room, following in his footsteps, sitting next to him or on his lap, snuggling with him at night (Though that's all of them, really). She has a tendency to jump when she hears loud footfalls in the hallway.

MC - The Cat++
The easiest way to describe MC is a cat. He lazes about, treats Rosc like his servant and/or heating pad. He spends most of his time lying on Rosc's windowseat. When the incubus is around, MC enjoys spending time in his lap for the warmth and what little attention he'll get.
*MC was a gift from Rosanna. No one has yet to tell him what color MC actually is.

++Thistle - The Calm
MC tracked the little toy in within the first few days of Rosc moving in.
She's a precocious little kitten who spends most days following MC around, having adopted him as a make-shift father. With MC being himself, she spends a lot of time sleeping on one of Rosc's pillows.
She's getting older now, so she's spending more time in the closet with the others.

Prancer - The Problem++
Prance likes to make trouble. Not terrible trouble, but rather things like displacing things for the hell of it, though usually not Rosc's things out of respect. He's a manipulative and clever beast with a wonderful poker-face, who knows how to get what he wants and bothering his master usually isn't one of them.
Prancer didn't want to deal with the addition of a kitten, so he's moved to the closet for the most part.
*Prancer was a gift from Nic, who thought the Reigndeer would behave... or teach Rosc responsibility or something. Yeah, he was wrong.

++Alvilda - The Thief
If Prancer displaces things, Alvilda downright steals them. It's not a compulsion or a need to have things, more of a way to amuse herself. Whatever it is that she took is usually returned soon after. As a lepus, she often sneaks out of Rosc's room to join up with more of her pirate brethren to go on large-scale acts of thievery.
Around Rosc, she acts very much like MC, though much more affectionate.
She comes out of the closet whenever she feels like and has the opportunity to do so.
She didn't actually lose her right eye or anything and can actually see fairly well through the cloth. She takes it off whenever around Rosc.

Bob - The Idiot++
He's always doing something to piss Rosc off. He's a pervy old crow who enjoys watching the girls of the school. Especially the fearleaders.
Bob is the only one that doesn't join the others on Rosc's bed at night, specifically because he has his own nest on top of the wardrobe.

++Cathal - The Fierce
Cathal is the most aggressive of Rosc's pets. He's territorial, prone to bite, and doesn't listen well to directions. He'd rather do what he feels like. Whenever he finds his way out of the closet, he usually ends up picking on MC or fighting with Ripley. He's never bitten Rosc before, but he's growled.

Lucifer - The Bonded++
One can safely assume that the reason Rosc and Lucifer are so connected is the same reason why Nightingale is so close to him. All three have their personal scars and none of them fully healed in the end, all ending up forever bloodied. Like Rosc, Lucifer is mostly antisocial, spending most of his time either with Rosc himself or with the little Wishing Helper. It isn't uncommon to see the phoenix preening the cat-like mini's fur.
He does not get along with Bob at all. The last time they were both out of the closet at the same time, there was a fight.

++Loki - The Almost-As-Bad-As-Ban-But-Not-Quite
For the most part, Loki is as much of a prankster as Ban is, seemingly a common trait among Rosc's pets. The biggest difference between the two is that often Loki doesn't know when the game has ended. Ban often has to step up and put her paw down on his antics as he'll just keep right on going with whatever he's doing, no matter if the situation has turned from amusing to serious.
He can also be rather moody, spending time sulking and staring woefully off into space for one reason or another. Perhaps he's just contemplating his next game.
He's mostly indifferent to Rosc. Where some of the others will seek out his attention and affection, Loki doesn't seem to have a preference for either.
Loki was a gift from Lumi. Rosc sort of thinks she did it to spite him.

Rosciel was born the only child of two prestigious demons, a succubus and her lover. He was a beautifully dangerous infant, feathered wings, golden hair, bright blue eyes, and sharp all over. He was still a toddler when his father's sister attacked his mother's household, deranged into thinking that if she removed the succubus from the picture, her brother would return to the family and restore its honor. The enraged demon tore his mother apart, but couldn't bring herself to kill her nephew as he was her own blood, so she ripped out the eyes that resembled his mother's and set about to tear out his wings when his father came home and intervened. She tried not to fight him, but they eventually ended up killing one another.

Nicodemus was one of his mother's friends, a dark fae and head of an elite club of demons. Upon the death of his parents, Nic took the young incubus under the wings of the club. There, Rosciel learned how to see without his eyes, though he is incapable of normal reading and writing, and the very basic principles of FEAR. What he also gained was a teenager's arrogance, back-talking attitude, and laziness. Now, while a few in the club found this amusing, even endearing, Nic was soon at his wit's end and in a last-ditch effort to set him straight, he enrolled Rosc into the Academy.

Family
Nicodemus (Fae): Nic is Rosc's true guardian. He finds the young incubus annoying, stubborn, and completely full of himself. Now, while he secretly approves of this behavior, that doesn't mean he wants it directed at him. He does his best to train Rosc, but even with the help of the other club members, he came to his wit's end and sent Rosc to school.
Nic was a friend of Rosc's father and introduced his parents to one another, not realizing what would happen. He feels some measure of guilt for that.
Akariel (Kitsune): Akariel was often the instigator whenever Rosc was up to mischief. He genuinely likes the boil and they get along almost like brothers despite the large difference in age.
Namshiel (Sloth Demon): Nameshiel was probably the first one to decide that Rosc needed a hobby besides driving all the club members insane. He figured music was the best course of action. Under his "wing," Rosc learned to play the piano but found it boring and ultimately threatened to break it the next time Nam told him to sit down for a lesson.
Rosanna (Greed Demon): His major female "parent," Rosanna looks out for him as if he was her own son. In fact, she is quite possessive of him and fights Nic the hardest whenever he threatens to kick the boil out. She was the one who picked up where Namshiel left off with the music lessons. She instead took Rosc to a music store and had him pick out whatever instrument he'd like from a list that she knew how to play. Ultimately, he picked the cello and she taught him how to play it.

Rosc's Room
In one word, spartan.
Sparse furniture (Desk, bed, chair, windowseat, a few tables and a footstool) of similar wood style but no pieces (except a pair of bedside tables) matching in color.
All cloth pieces are soft and comfortable, picked out by him through touch. Curtains, bed-linens, and cushions only match because Nic helped.
There's a drawer with a few personal effects in it and a walk in closet, but besides that it's a pretty uninhabited-looking room. The only thing that really stands out apart from the tacky mismatch of wood and lack of mirrors is the dark cello by the window and the black PreC on his desk. He needs a speech program in order to use it.

There is a small bathroom with a shower/bath and a kitchenette.

We met at a costume ball held at her family's house some time before she went off to school and sent each other eee!-mails. I trust her more than anyone else.
We've had our ups and downs, but that has yet to change how I feel about her.

Sin's little friend.
He's seems all right. Skittish, but at least he's done his best to keep Sin safe. I owe him greatly for that. Doesn't mean I'll put up with any crap from him, especially not raising his voice to Sin.

Birdboil's ghoulfriend. Of course, neither will admit to it, but even I see it, and I'm not even a romantic sort.
She's a nosy thing, though. Rather annoying when she gets to asking too many personal questions. Timid, too. Seems like a match made in Halloween. Sin's happy Julian found a ghoul. I could care less, just as long as she leaves me alone.

I don't trust her. Of course, I don't really trust anyone, but she is not even a neutral party on my list, not any more. She could have been an interesting past time, someone to talk to maybe, someone I wouldn't be so bothered working on a class assignment with. But she moved against me behind my back. I don't care that she aided my opposition because she wanted me for herself, it doesn't excuse her actions and I have no way of knowing when she'll do something else for herself at my expense.

He's creepy. I get a bad taste in my mouth whenever I focus on him. I think he has something for some of the demon girls, from what I've noticed, Sin and her friends. He doesn't seem to have that interest around Arachne, though. I'll be keeping my eye on him.

He seems like a decent guy. He has a protective sense that I can respect, a bit like Akariel. Friend, ally, both are pretty strong words. Classmate I'm willing to work with, without too much complaint seems like a good description.

I met her on Blue's boat. She seemed a good sort, we got along well enough. Ran into her again in Cricket's FEARHealing workshop. We worked fairly well together cleaning up the linens. She seems self-conscious about her lack of a head. Guess I know how she feels.

Only interacted with him once and that was enough.
Over-energized, completely lacking an attention-span, and the little snot volunteered me to help this ghoul carry stuff. Whether I was intending to help or not, that's crossing a line.

Polite, didn't seem to have too much of a personality unless she was frustrated. I can respect that. She seems like someone Sin would like to meet sometime. Too uptight for my tastes. At least she asked for my help, rather than assuming I'd do it.

The Excessively Detailed Headcanon Meme

1: What does their bedroom look like? Pretty empty and mismatched. He doesn't have a lot of personal possessions since he doesn't really have hobbies, so he's got a large bed, dresser, two bedside tables, a desk, two large, comfy armchairs, a small table, and a windowseat. All the furniture is made of wood that doesn't match (Except the bedside tables), all of the fabric is soft. He has a computer and a small stereo and his cello by the window. And that's it.
2: Do they have any daily rituals? Not anymore. He used to change his bandages every morning, but he's gotten a little more confidant, so he doesn't wear them anymore. He does layer his illusions on, though.
3: Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often? Once every couple of days he goes running with one of his pets. At home he would train in a sparring salle with practice swords every day, but he doesn't have the availability here, nor the time really.
4: What would they do if they needed to make dinner but the kitchen was busy? Wait. And complain about it.
5: Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.) He doesn't have much, so his room/workspace is usually very tidy. Unless Ban brings in a Jackrabbit, then it's full of dust which he hates.
6: Eating habits and sample daily menu Whatever he feels like making, whenever.
7: Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time Playing his cello or spending time with Sin, but then neither is ever a waste of time to him. So he doesn't waste time. XD
8: Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging Spending money on Sin. He has plenty, why not make her happy?
9: Makeup? Nope and he can't really tell when Sin's wearing it so no opinion on the matter.
10: Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such? Paranoia, and yes he does realize that he has it, but feels it's completely justified, if taken to an extreme.
11: Intellectual pursuits? Healing, business, human studies, illusions
12: Favorite book genre? He doesn't read.
13: Sexual Orientation? And, regardless of own orientation, thoughts on sexual orientation in general? Heterosexual. He's attracted to women, but in truth he's only ever been truly attracted to one. He flirts, but has trust issues. He doesn't care what others gravitate towards, just as long as they leave him alone.
14: Physical abnormalities? (Both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.) Ability to see properly and fly were removed from him as a child by his father's sister. He has no eyes and one of his wings is half destroyed. His vision is based in his Natural and FEAR abilities, so what little he has is flawed. The encounter also gave him numerous scars on his back, abdomen, chest, his left arm, and his thighs.
15: Biggest and smallest short term goal? Get through school
16: Biggest and smallest long term goal? Become a successful investor and probably marry Sin. He has no small long term goals.
17: Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress Jeans, shirt, jacket, boots, and glasses. He's a demon of simple style.
18: Favorite beverage? Hard cider
19: What do they think about before falling asleep at night? Sin, usually
20: Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them? Not really
21: Turn-ons? Turn-offs? Sense of humor, ability to keep up with his teasing, not giving in to peer pressure. Lying, going behind his back
22: Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen? Nothing, he doesn't like to write, either
23: How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life? Fairly well, everything has a place and should be in it. But then he doesn't have much to organize.
24: Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all? Probably healing at this point, actually. Mostly because he's put a lot of effort into it.
25: How do they see themselves 5 years from today? Graduated and on his way to being successful. And moving back into his mother's home. And probably taking Sin with him.
26: Do they have any plans for the future? Any contingency plans if things don’t workout? See Long Term Goals
27: What is their biggest regret? Not telling Sin sooner who he was. Would have saved a lot of emotional trauma.
28: Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy? Sin. Either Hunters, his uncle, or Arachne.
29: Reaction to sudden extrapersonal disaster (eg The house is on fire! What do they do?) Um... deal with it? He's got a pretty good head in situations like that.
30: Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies) Bottle it up, really. He doesn't share those kinds of things with others.
31: Most prized possession? Besides his minipets, it's tied between his father's bracer, his mother's engagement ring, and his cello
32: Thoughts on material possessions in general? He doesn't have a lot, but he's a possessive jerk when it comes to his things.
33: Concept of home and family? Home is where he wants to be at any given time. Family... is complicated.
34: Thoughts on privacy? (Are they a private person, or are they prone to ‘TMI’?) Very private. Others don't need to know things about him and he's very antisocial.
35: What activities do they enjoy, but consider to be a waste of time? He doesn't consider anything he does a waste of time.
36: What makes them feel guilty? Having deceived Sin
37: Are they more analytical or more emotional in their decision-making? Analytical
38: What recharges them when they’re feeling drained? Being with Sin or sleeping
39: Would you say that they have a superiority-complex? Inferiority-complex? Neither? Probably neither, he's very much content at being in the middle.
40: How misanthropic are they? He definitely hates Hunters, but he finds that normal humans are useful.
41: Hobbies? Playing and composing for the cello
42: How far did they get in formal education? What are their views on formal education vs self-education? He's still in the process of it and knows it's necessary
43: Religion? Pfft, yeah, no
44: Superstitions or views on the occult? He is a demon...
45: Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds? Both, really
46: If they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal? He already has, and she's someone he can trust. He probably first fell for her because she shares so much with him, even if she is a social butterfly.
47: How do they express love? He's generally very gentle with her (Completely opposite of how he is with everyone else), he gives her his trust, protects her, writes her songs, and gives her things.
48: If this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like? His fighting style is usually doing his best to take as little hits as possible. His own may not be that strong, but single drops of water can wear down a mountain after a while.
49: Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not? Yes and no, really. Yes because he now has a reason to keep going, but he's been close and even done so (Sort of) before, so dying isn't something he's really afraid of.

His frown was still on his face when he returned his gaze to Rosc and put a hand on his shoulder. "But that doesn't mean we can't have a good ending. We know what it's like to be alone again, and what it's like to not be. I know it's more your choice to make than it is mine, but... just think about it. Do you really want to go back to that?"

No, no he didn't, but it was hard. Someone he had loved, had put all his faith into, she'd killed his mother, came into his room, hugged him, and ripped out his left eye. Trusting was hard. But... But he trusted Sin. That had to mean something.
