How many of you are anxious to see the new movie Beastly? You know, the modern version of Beauty and the Beast? Well, if you do plan on seeing it, please slap yourself in the face for me! Anyone who is planning to see that movie is probably as shallow as the producers who filmed it!! Why do I hate the movie so much when it hasn't even come out yet? Well, just look at what we've seen in the trailer: -Handsome guy is mean to girl. -Handsome get's turned ugly. -Family so ashamed of his ugly that they lock him away and get him a blind tutor. -Pretty girl learns to love him. Doesn't seem so bad right? Well, it wouldn't be too bad he he had ended up looking inhumane but he doesn't! He looks like a slightly scarred skin head!! That's it!! That is not hard to accept or see past!! There are some people in the world with deformities so grotesque they would sell their families to look like he does with a few scars and some tats!! Not only is his "ugly" transformation not that bad, but then his family is soooo ashamed they lock him away? WHAT THE HELL KIND OF MESSAGE IS THAT!?!? You know what? I wanna see a hot chick fall in love with these guys:  Compared to:

Anyway, i agree.
That is pretty bad.
I've just looked it up and i thought he looked pretty cool with all the marks.
It is a pretty bad message but i hate all films where it's "Guy and Girl fall in love"
It's just the same old washed out bullshit that bores the ******** out of me. /END

He does look pretty awesome, like the main character of some comic book or action game. >_< Notice how the anorexic Olsen twin is the one in this movie? K R A Y Z E H K R A Y Z E H SEZ: And how would you define 'hot chick'? rofl

Um the story of Beauty and the Beast existed long before Disney. . . ninja It's not so much the fact it's a modern retelling I hate but how they went about doing it! This movie would be so awesome if the girl he hurt was a normal girl, who then tried to get revenge with violence, causing him to be in a horrible accident that completely disfigured him (trust me, I've seen some nasty, nasty scares in my sister's medical books about the Iraq War) and then from there he found someone to love him while truly learning what his actions and decisions can lead too. Well i guess i need to be slapped xD ,i thought it looked like a pretty
good movie. The only part that bothers me is that Mary Kate Olsen is in
it & the dude doesn't look ugly at all..
I really just wanted to watch it because it teaches [ well..sorta teaches ] that
love isn't just about looks 3nodding

At the OP: Umm.. yea the movie looks a bit crap but I can't really see how it's so offensive. It's a mindless 'hip new version' movie aimed at what.. 12-15 year olds? I'm pretty sure you're not meant to put that much thought into it.

Yup, don't knock it before you try it. I have no idea if the book is on Kindle or not but it is a good read. 3nodding It's a bit on the short side but it's great.
