A small warning to those who do choose to take part in the main plot:
This will be a major undertaking. This particular plot has been in the works for well over a year now, details painstakingly hammered out bit by bit as ideas are contributed. Most of this is of my own creation, as evidenced by the involvement of almost all of my Soquili. This is meant to be a device to further their development, and develop relationships of their own where applicable. That being said, I love the idea of this plot being used for furthering other characters as well, so don't be afraid to request involvement. Even if there is no particular spot specified in which your Soquili may fit, let me know if you're interested. I may be able to come up with something, or we can collaborate smile
Now, with that out of the way, onto the content. This is all part of one big story, but with all of the repurcussions it will have, there will be a number of side plots branching off of it. This is a listing of those- more may be added over time.

Summary
As night fell on the Kawani lands, so too did a great darkness, suffocating in its heaviness. From the very fires from Hell rose a demon from Satan's Hierarchy, a soul hell-bent on creating chaos, destruction and suffering, known by the name of Diabolus.
A chance encounter with a mare named Cetra ended in disaster for the young leader-to-be, having drawn the demon's attention with her willfullness and spite. Amused by her resistance, but angered at her disregard, Diabolus vowed vengeance on all she held dear, patient enough to bide his time until his power could make itself known throughout the lands. Thus, he left her only with this warning: he would return, and her loved ones would be the ones to pay the price for her insolence.
Indignant, but fearful, Cetra fled back to her homelands to make her herd, Hakanu, aware of this new threat. Nanaki, respected herd leader and grandfather to Cetra, convened with the eldest and wisest of his herd members, agreeing that though they were strong as a whole, not one of them would be able to stand up to the demon by themselves. If Diabolus returned with greater numbers like he had promised, there was not one of them who could bear the brunt of his fury. This much had been proven when their ranks had been decimated years prior by the attack of a unikalona named Amaya.
The unikalona in question had been overtaken by a bloodlust, having neglected to feed for too long, and unused to the demands of her darker half. For the years following the incident, she had isolated herself from the herd that had once welcomed her with open arms, lamenting her loss of control, and the havoc she had wrought upon the innocent families. Much to her discontent, a young mare named Avalee had sought her out, visiting frequently, despite Amaya's vocal protests. She was a monster to be feared, and though she had found some modicrum of peace in the arms of a Fallen, the memory of the bloody confrontation had haunted her thoughts.
Then, the mare Avalee sought her out once more.
After hearing of the predicament in which the herd had found itself in, Avalee begged Amaya to help them. Despite being a half-breed, she had shown them strength that none of them could attain- perhaps she, at least, would stand a chance against the demon. At first, Amaya dismissed the idea. She was not a warrior, could not invoke her kalona strength at will; the instinctive, desperate need for blood that had made her so formidable to begin with. She was strong, yes, perhaps more than the winds she had fought against, but enough to defeat a demon? As much as she rejected the thought of invoking her darker half, however, the terrible visions of what she had done to those families, and the desire for redemption began to change her mind, slowly but surely.
In time, she came before the Hakan once more, an offer of assistance on her tongue. Almost immediately, she was rejected by Cetra. While Cetra had not directly been involved in the events preceeding Amaya's isolation, it was her family that had been hurt the most in the aftermath. Added to her already personal distrust of anything bearing kalona features, Cetra outright refused Amaya's help. However, Nanaki saw the sincerity in which Amaya offered herself, saw the potential that none of them could turn away. She might well have been their saving grace.
Under Nanaki's request, despite her own reluctance, Cetra grudgingly agreed to train Amaya. Hopefully, with time and effort, she could learn to control her kalona half.
It was the only hope the small herd had for survival.
 What is Needed:
Allies: Obviously, the small herd cannot hope to win against the army that Diabolus threatens to raise against them- they will need allies. This may be an individual or an entire herd, and may be worked into the story however you wish.
Enemies: Diabolus will be looking for followers. He knows how to manipulate, how to work others to his advantage, and he is shameless and sadistic. If he believes leading a kalona to think that he can grant them immortality and a rank among the demons will get them to fight a war for him, he will tell them so. If he thinks that threatening to tear apart a family will gain him followers, he will not hesitate. Any soquili are welcome for this.
Victims/Bystanders: While these won't be directly related to the main plot, it will still be an important factor to keep in mind during the progression of these events. Diabolus needs to gain notoriety. He delights in creating chaos and suffering wherever he goes- doubtless he will simply leave well enough alone while he gathers his army. Any soquili are welcome for this- and the repercussions will be up to you, whether you want a bloody confrontation or just a simple run-in.

Offspring: None
Although very close to her mother, and not lacking in the kindness that Aquene spreads to others, Cetra has taken more from her grandfather Nanaki's side in terms of personality. Chivalrous to an extent and fiercely loyal, she is quick to action when someone is presumably in need of help. However, because of her father's abandonment, she is quicker to hold a grudge, and not quite as forgiving as her predecessor. Still, if one manages not to get on her bad side and manages to penetrate her rather stiff exterior- as she keeps mostly to herself- she is quite friendly, and fond of companionship.
Likes: Her mother, her grandfather, her brothers, long walks, sunsets, flying
Dislikes: Her father, arrogance, rain, snow
Romance: Romance, in Cetra's mind, is simply out of the question. Despite her willingness to form friendships, she considers it her duty to look after her mother, and any form of non-platonic relationships would only impede her ability to do so. If one might look closer at her circumstances, they might realize that this view is partially due to lingering feelings of resentment for her father, and fear that she might someday end up like her mother- heartbroken and alone- though the responsibilities of being the heir to her grandfather's legacy play a large role as well.
Acceptance and Retribution: Angered by her failure to deal with the threat of Diabolus on her own and infinitely frustrated at the prospect of having to train one of the most hated, though until now faceless figures of her past, Cetra is driven almost to her breaking point. Her only saving grace is the sole friend she has made in the most unlikely of places- ironically, a unikalona by the name of Shishio Gen. An ally in spirit if not in body, it is this, along with the hopes of her close-knit family, that furthers her drive to succeed- to make Amaya the savior that she cannot be herself.
Loss and Gain (side plot): Cetra's mother Aquene has, at long, long last, finally found the lasting love that she could never hold onto in the past. Torn between wanting her mother's happiness, resentment for her still-absent father, anger at her mother for refusing to acknowledge her own feelings on the matter and distrust of the new stallion encroaching on her family, Cetra finds herself unable to speak to her mother, storming from the herdlands in an angry rage. Who she meets here is open to suggestion, whether they would like inclusion in the main plot, or simply a meeting with the young leader-in-training.

Diabolus is, in a word, sadistic. Known also by the name of Astaroth among his brothers, he is one of the nine demons of Satan's Hierarchy. His purpose on these lands is none other than to create followers to his cause- to please his Lord and Master. He manipulates, coerces, lies and kills to get whatever he wants, and feels no guilt for it. He delights in creating discord and despair among others; will go far out of his way simply to ensure that he has inflicted as much agony on another as possible. Frequently, he will take sacrifices for his Master- and no one, stallion, mare or child, is discounted from his victims.
Likes: Chaos, destruction, suffering, himself
Dislikes: Everyone and everything. He only uses them to his advantage.
Romance: There is no such thing.
Vengeance: Cetra was not the first, by far, to resist him. Oh no. There were many, many others- most hadn't lasted long. None of them lived. No, there were others- but her willfullness and determination surprised him. Intrigued him, even. And made him angry. No female had ever dared strike him before her, and no female ever would again, once he made an example of her. Watched her cry out for mercy, for release, and in the end, for death. He would break her. And it would be fun.
Diabolus will be looking for followers by any means necessary. By blackmail, coersion, manipulation, torture, or threats, he will get what he wants.

Amaya is not your average or stereotypical kalona. Despite her dominant kalona traits, she prefers to embrace her unicorn heritage, having lived with her unicorn mother all her life, and never having met her kalona father. While she is somewhat soft-spoken, she is by no means meek or timid; rather, she is a very proud individual. Loneliness is something she has come to accept over the course of her life, having been feared for what she is and shunned for what she is not. Given the chance, she would love to have the chance for companionship and love, but in reality, her past experiences with such have made her wary of such attachments.
Likes: Night, rain, intelligent conversation, Shyam, flying, her children
Dislikes: Arrogance, being feared, heat, judgemental people, egotistical stallions
Romance: Having been raised with the mentality that fairytales were fun to fantasize about and wish for, but impractical and unrealistic in real life, Amaya never believed in the possibility of finding a real, lasting love for herself. Her own shortcomings were glaringly obvious, as well as the lack of ability to relate to anyone else. Now, a guardian angel has seemingly swooped down from the heavens to end her loneliness- to what end, she is not entirely sure, but does not question it. She knows well that he is a Fallen, and not one that should be painted in a glorious light- but he is every bit the hero she had always wished for, but never dreamed of having.
The Redemption: Amaya has been haunted, all her life, by demons that she cannot see or touch. A monster lives in her head, in her body- it was this beast that she lost control to and watched tear apart an innocent herd many moons ago, and it is this beast she seeks to tame now. Under Cetra's tutelage, she seeks to find an inner calm, a way to harness its power for her own, but this is entirely new ground for her. With Diabolus' return on the not-so-distant horizon, her self-declared nemesis forced to give her the skills to fight, and her own relationships on uncertain ground, she will seek guidance. From who or what is yet to be seen.

By My Side (side plot): [ This may or may not be directly related to the main plot. ] Throughout the course of Cetra's harsh regimen, and the subsequent separation of those she cares for, Amaya inevitably begins to question her own resolve for the fight ahead. 'For who, or what, do I fight for?' There will be a series events that, for now, will remain undisclosed- but this plot is open to those who wish to form a close friendship with the unikalona.

Aquene is a mare that takes a bit of personality from each of her parents. A dreamer like her mother, and loyal and proud like her father, her demeanor mixes into one that is laid-back, polite, kindly, and just a little proud. She has taken all the lessons from her father about manners to heart, and strives to please her parents above most other things. Like her father, she has a strong sense of right and wrong, and will fight for the things she believes in.
Likes: The wind, flying, her children, her parents, her sister, sunsets, midnight runs, cloud-watching, intelligent conversations
Dislikes: Rain, the cold, fighting, large crowds, noisy soquili
Romance: Aquene used to dream about her Prince Charming- a soquili that would come and effortlessly sweep her off her feet. She was convinced, for a time, that none would take up this title better than her dearest friend Belial. It was unfathomable that she may love anyone else with the intensity that she did him, and for a time, she was the happiest she had ever been. But circumstances have changed, and that reality seems like a distant, fading hope now. Left to pick up the pieces alone, her family has kept her from falling into despair, but the wound left behind is one she fears will never fully heal.
One Last Embrace (unrelated to main plot): After so long and so many disappointments in her failed relationship, Aquene has given up on the idea of her 'happily ever after'. She loves her children dearly, but there is a hole in her heart where her lover once was. After meeting and befriending a new stallion, however, her feelings will slowly begin to change. Confusion and conflicted feelings will begin to pull her in two different directions- should she give in and allow her feelings the possibility to blossom, and risk heartbreak once more? Or should she remain loyal to the memory of her first love, and the family she made with him?
To the Sky (unrelated to main plot): Through a series of events in the 'bloodlust' incident with Amaya, Aquene's wing was badly broken, and she lost the ability to fly. It was one of the great joys of her life, and losing it seemed a catalyst to the disaster her life became- but now, there is an opportunity to fly again. She should be overjoyed, but instead, she chooses to believe that she can never be healed, too far gone in the resolution that she will never soar the skies again. Someone will have to force her to see reason- harshly or otherwise.
A Mother's Love (side plot): Because of her falling out with the father of her children, the finding of new love has stirred up mixed feelings in Aquene's family. One of them in particular, her wayward son Mako, harbors resentment for her earlier weakness, at the inability to let go of Belial and focus on her children, and for what he feels is abandonment of their loosely-threaded family for her new love. Their reunion will result in a fight, and deeply hurt feelings. I would like for her to stumble upon another young foal in trouble that she can help, to remind her of her bond with her own children, and to remind her that she is still needed.
This will eventually lead into the beginning events of the war plot.

Kazuko is a very social stallion, much like his father, but that is where the similarities between them end. He tends to have slightly melodramatic moments like his mother, and he is a little vain- not to mention extremely stubborn. While his sisters are his parents' two little angels, Kazu was the slightly more difficult child who would stomp his hooves and pout until he got his way, and thus is a bit spoiled. Still, he's very friendly, and has a good heart, even if he is a little full of himself at times.
Likes: His parents, teasing his sisters, bright sunny days, flowers, getting his mane brushed, being called 'pretty'.
Dislikes: Rain, windy days, cold, being called 'girly'.
Romance: While Kazu loves to initiate some innocent flirtation, he is not currently on the lookout for a long-term relationship. This could be subject to change, especially with his family's history being so similar, but he doesn't see himself starting anything serious with a mare for a long time to come. Any female wishing to be with him would probably have to be his ideal mate- as pretty as he as, with a playful disposition to compliment his own, and a love for causing mischief.
The Journey Home (side plot- will take place after main plot): Though his family was not a line of warriors like Sukari or Nanaki's, Kazu insisted on taking part in the fight against Diabolus and his followers. His father, of all people, was going to protect the herd- why not him? Practical experience couldn't amount to so much that he would prove useless- at the very least, he was quick, and could evade larger brutes effectively. Unfortunately, he underestimated his inexperience, and was badly hurt, one wing damaged and a severe blow to his face impairing his ability to see. He stumbled, fell, and was carried away by the river's current.
Now, miles and miles away from anything familiar, Kazu has discovered himself blind. More than that, unable to fly; whether these things are permanent or not depend on how quickly he can get back to his herd- to a healer. He will need a guide, and more than that, he will need to overcome his stubborn nature. This can be a romance plot or simply a close friendship plot, depending on the participant. Kazuko will be humbled by this experience, perhaps enough to finally leave behind his immaturity.

Nothing I've Ever Known (unrelated to main plot): This plot will be dependent on if the guide in 'The Journey Home' was a romantic interest. If so, Kazuko might find himself in the dilemma of considering whether he really wants to go home, or stay with this new mare in whatever lands she dwells in- or continue to adventure on their own, whatever the case may be. There will be conflict here with the desire to see his family, to make certain his herd survived; there is much room for personal growth, and development with the relationship of the chosen love interest.

Offspring: None
Rubedo, much like his father, despite his absence; is the knightly sort. Though he grew up in a divided family like his older siblings, his mother seemed more at peace during his upbringing, allowing him a more objective view of the father he wished to know. His grandfather Nanaki was still the guiding paternal figure in his life however, and much of his own personality was shaped after his grandfather's. He will leap to the aid of anyone who appears to need it- and some who don't- heedless of the dangers it might present, and seek to right any wrongs that he might feel are unjustified.
Likes: His family, racing his brothers, bright sunny days, walks in the forest
Dislikes: Snow, ice, arrogance, injustice
Romance: While romance doesn't seem to be outside the realm of possibility for Rubedo, it is something that he has simply never considered. He has always been content living among his family, and he looks up to the older sister that will one day lead the herd. He doesn't harbor any of the mistrust or fear that Cetra does towards the possibility of falling in love, but it just seems... unimportant. Perhaps it is best, after seeing the impact it had on his beloved mother- though he seems indifferent to the concept of allowing that vulnerability.
A Knife's Edge (unrelated to main plot): While Rubedo's view of most Soquili isn't naive, per se, it is a tad bit optimistic- perhaps even blind in some cases. He strives so much to be accepting like his grandfather that he may forget to be cautious and overreach. I would like someone to betray him in some manner or another; whether it be a kalona wanting to trick him into being a snack, or another Soquili just using him for protection or something of the sort. He needs a more realistic world view, and to get it, he needs to experience something darker himself. Witnessing and even taking part in the war against Diabolus was not personal- he was fighting for his and his family's survival, and Diabolus himself was more of a faceless figure of evil than an actual person to Rubedo.

Fei is a somewhat complicated mare. While not outright cold or rude like her father, she prefers to keep to herself and maintains silence in the presence of most others. It is rare for her to speak without prompting- and rare for her to speak with prompting, for that matter. She dislikes words without meaning or significance, with the belief that something should only be worth saying if it is important, meaningful, or with purpose- actions, in most cases, speak louder than words. She is not unfriendly, however- if one were to make their way past her silence, they may discover she is quite fond of intellectual conversations, and not above offering her honest friendship to those deserving of it.
Likes: Her father, her aunt Avalee, intelligent conversation, windy nights, snow
Dislikes: Loudness, rambling, hot days, pity, Merric
Romance: While not accustomed to the idea of love or affection from anyone, Feilea is not above the idea of one day falling in love. Of course, this is assuming that the stallion in question could fit her somewhat unreasonable standards. Fei is not vain, but does not accept pretty words at face value; anyone brave enough to utter the words, "I love you," would have to go above and beyond to prove them before she would accept their meaning.
Everything I Sought (unrelated to main plot): Because of the events surrounding her father's isolation, Feilea has all but given up hope of finding what she seeks, but doubled her efforts to be seen as 'worthy' in her father's eyes. Striving for his love and affection, she will be floored by the appearance of an angeni- Celandine, Kureno's new love interest. Angered, furious by the fact that this new mare has simply swooped in and stolen everything Fei ever wanted with seemingly no effort at all, she will seek to get back at her father by coupling with a random stallion. This will, of course, backfire when she finds herself pregnant. However, in raising these new foals by herself, she will discover that all the unconditional love she ever wanted from her father will come to her by her children, and the experience will soften her, make her more open to the idea of making friends.
Don't Let Me Go (side plot): Having been softened by her relationship with her children, and her own developing friendship with the mare named Celandine, Feilea will be on the lookout for a lasting love this time- someone who will complete her family. Unfortunately, with the events of the war on the horizon, their relationship will be put to the test. This stallion will be faced with the decision of whether or not to participate in the war, as Fei refuses to be left out of the fight.

Raised in a powerful line of Unicorns that believed themselves a step above other Soquili, Kaitou has managed to retain the ability to look beyond what his family would see, but still remains a bit judgemental when faced with certain breeds. His own family was separated into one of two roles depending on their abilities- Healer and Protector. He is a Protector, as indicated by his mask and gauntlets- a prodigy of his herd, in fact. He knows how to fight, but for the most part, prefers not to unless the situation calls for it.
Likes: Helping others, his sister, midnight runs, children, cool nights
Dislikes: Skinwalkers, kalona, injustice, recklessness
Romance: Kaitou loves the concept of a family, but feels undeserving of the possibility. As much as he tries, there are some parts of him that can't let go of the judgemental ways taught to him by the Clan. He fears he could pass that on, however unintentionally, to someone else- and after the strife that it has caused him, he doesn't wish to burden anyone else. Despite this, he is a very loving and caring soul to those close to him, and would undoubtedly one day make a good mate and father.
Don't Turn Away (unrelated to main plot): Because of his family's preconceived notions about how kalona were dangerous and dark creatures, Kaitou has always had a problem relating to his half-kalona younger sister. In his earlier years, he was firm in the belief that the bond of family overrode all else, and forfeited much of his own standing to look after her. However, after beginning to see just what she was capable of, his own doubts began to creep in- and after one incident in particular, the conflict between his herd's beliefs and his immediate family forced him to leave, wanting to reevaluate what was important. Now, years later, he searches avidly for his sister, hoping to mend the rift he created and be the stability that she always deserved, though he isn't entirely certain that she will accept him anymore. He is a stranger in these lands, and not a great speaker of the native language here. He will need a guide- hopefully one patient enough to sort out his broken sentences. (This is open to the possibility of a romance plot.)

The Protector (side plot): Having finally found his sister, but unable to reconcile with the fact that she is with a Fallen, Kaitou finds himself in turmoil. All of the instincts instilled into him by the Clan's upbringing have told him that this Fallen is dangerous, that he cannot allow him near Amaya- but he seems essential to her happiness. Furthermore, he will receive word of Amaya's involvement in this movement against Diabolus, and resolves to aid her in whatever way he can. It would be ideal for him to meet another well-meaning kalona or kalona hybrid- perhaps it can begin to convince him of the error of his ways regarding Amaya. Perhaps this new friend could be helpful in the upcoming fight.

Merric's personality is what many members of his herd would refer to as 'bubbly'. He is far from unintelligent or naive, although he may be a bit dense- but he has a childlike happy-go-lucky demeanor that many have found... irritating in his presence. He never pays any mind to insults thrown his way, and will, in many cases, resort to self-depricating humor if he thinks it might win him any brownie points with his antagonist. It is rare, if not impossible, to catch this stallion with anything but a bright smile on his face- a trait that many in his herd have found endearing (although some only reluctantly).
Likes: Just about everything.
Dislikes: Um... bathing?
Romance: Any mare choosing to seek a relationship with Merric should be aware that they require a certain amount of patience when dealing with this stallion. He is somewhat obtuse when it comes to matters of love- although there are instances in which he may resort to a blushing, stuttering fool in the presence of a pretty mare. 'Flirting', or at least, 'flirting gracefully', is not in his vocabulary. That being said, it is not impossible, or even improbable, for Merric to fall in love. His nature to care for everyone and everything would make him an ideal love interest, if said mare was patient enough to deal with his child-like personality.Give Me a Sign (unrelated to main plot): Although his need to make people smile is an endearing quality to some, there are inappropriate times to do so, and Merric has not experienced these particular instances as of yet. Soquili that would react negatively to his well-intentioned but oblivious attempts to provide cheer would be ideal- though it may not deter him, but instead make him more determined to help. No evil soquili for this please, I'd prefer he not actually end up hurt, just perhaps learn a valuable lesson: he can't help everyone.

Forever and Ever (unrelated to main plot): Merric needs a buddy. Someone to tag along with- although I am actually looking for a soquili that will be less than receptive to his presence. Someone who considers him an annoyance, but may or may not slowly warm up to him. Once he is inclined to accompany someone for his own (faulty) reasoning, he is not easy to get rid of. Whether or not he will actually accomplish any of his own ends here is something to be discussed.

Born into a herd renowned for their efficiency in, and love of battle, Freyr was the b*****d son of the chief's daughter, unable to claim leadership due to the circumstances of his birth, but still an honored son in his grandfather's eyes. Freyr thinks highly of his kind because he was raised to believe so, and not because of any particular disdain for 'non-fighter' Soquili- though one may not be able to tell from limited conversation. Despite this, he does have manners, though he may be quick to forget them if his temper is roused. He values honor and strength above all else- even life.
Likes: Battle, training, honor, glory
Dislikes: Deception, injustice, hypocrisy
Romance: Coming from a race that was bred for war, Freyr doesn't have a particularly high priority for- or interest in- romance. In fact, most mares would probably find his views on the fairer sex... unsavory. His mannerisms towards females are not impolite by far- in fact, he could likely charm a mare off her hooves with the best of them, if the occasion called for it- but he has no respect for a female's place on a battlefield. Because of this, Freyr has no intention of taking interest in a female anytime soon; though, perhaps, the right type of mare may eventually be able to change that.
The Path to Acceptance (unrelated to main plot) - Freyr's opinion on females leaves something to be desired. He needs a mare to bicker with, someone to challenge his views, someone strong who will make him reconsider his position. His own niece will eventually rise to inherit his father's herd, and ultimately be his superior- his acceptance of the matter will eventually play a large part in Cetra's leadership. The path to this change of heart will undoubtedly be a rocky one, but will, in the end, leave a great potential for friendship.

I Will Not Fall (side plot) - Raised to reject all ideas of underhanded tactics and trickery to win a battle, Freyr will face defeat, for the first time, due to a dishonorable adversary. He will face one of Diabolus' followers and end up badly injured. Though the wounds may not be life-threatening, it is his pride that will take the greatest of blows, and Freyr will be forced to re-evaluate exactly how he will fight in this upcoming war. Support- whether from his family, allies, or the unlikely source of the pseudo-companion listed in the above plot- will be integral during this time of healing and self-discovery.

Once a proud leader, now nothing but a forgotten exile from his homelands, Verath is anything but approachable. Bitter and jaded from his years of solitude and rumination over his past, he is quick to anger, but rigid in the morals that defined his leadership. Though unlikely to resort to violence unless provoked, he has no qualms with using verbal abuse to drive off those that would intrude upon his isolation. Unsurprisingly, he has a particular abhorrence to discussing any details of his origins, so the full extent of his history remains, to this point, unknown to any but himself.

Romance: If asked about this directly- if he doesn't maim you first- Verath would assure you that romance is simply impossible. The reality is that it is merely improbable. Very, very improbable, but not impossible. Patience and empathy are only the beginnings of the qualities a mare would have to have in order to get through to him, but perhaps the opportunity to move past the loss in his life will arise one day.
No One's But My Own (unrelated to main plot) - Verath needs a tag-a-long. Someone good-natured enough that will keep him from lashing out, but persistent enough to get him talking when he doesn't want to. A kindred spirit, an annoying sidekick, a curious foal... any of these are possibilities, and could even fall to more than one Soquili. Initially, the relationship will be rocky and difficult. Eventually, the plot will ideally progress to the point where Verath will begin to open up, possibly start to care for his tag-a-long(s), though he may never come to admit it.

Abilene is a mare who delights in trickery and confounding others with the mystery of her origins and personality. Manipulative if it suits her, enigmatic to most. Occasionally, one might get a glimpse into something darker and malicious, but most times it is gone as quickly as it appears, covered with a smile shrouded in mystery. One of her favorite pastimes is to share the story of a young mare who sold her soul to a demon in order to obtain a beauty that would snare a young stallion's attention. The story, however, varies each time she tells it- sometimes the mare willingly submitted herself to the demon's lure, others, it is a tragic tale of naivety and innocence, ultimately resulting in her downfall. Because of her penchant for embellishment, no one is certain what parts of the story hold truth- and Abilene prefers it that way.

Dislikes: Being ignored, noisy groups, authority
Romance: Though not above using her charms to ensnare stallions, romantic pursuit with Abilene is... unlikely, at best. While she may pretend to show interest when it suits her, most stallions bore her after they have worn out their welcome, and she will move on to the next soul that intrigues her. She does not intend to settle- whether that is a result of the tragic tale she weaves of her first lover's untimely end, or simple nonchalance about the idea of romance in particular, is ultimately unclear.
That Twisted Smile (unrelated to main plot) - Abilene is a trickster, and she enjoys what she does. I'm looking for hearts for her to break- whether they be childlike hopes of friendship, or perusals of romance- nothing is beneath her. She is very unlikely to attach herself to any one person unless they absolutely fascinate her, which is open for discussion as well- but her attentions may not necessarily be what the recipient hopes for.

Lyssia is a walking danger magnet, and is none the wiser to it. Whether it is simply tripping over her own feet or stumbling into a nest of vipers, she frequently only narrowly avoids serious injury, and usually all but hops away with a smile on her face, completely oblivious. Lyssia is an unrepentant klutz, but has a very sweet temperament, amiable and considerate- discounting the near-heart attacks she gives her mother on a daily basis. She is warm and compassionate, though she does tend to be a bit sensitive and even melodramatic at times.
Likes: Her mommy, her brothers, flowers, running (without tripping), swims on sunny days
Dislikes: Tripping, being laughed at, being ignored
Romance: Although she is clearly a loving, compassionate soul- as stated previously, Lyssia is a tad bit oblivious. While she knows that romance exists, it is likely that she would not be able to wrap her mind around a romantic pursuit for herself unless someone were to proverbially beat her over the head with it. As things stand now, she is a happy, playful soul, not interested in much beyond her next adventure or new friend. This, of course, could change in an instant, were the right person to provoke further thoughts on the matter.
Walking Disaster (unrelated to main plot) - Lyssia is always stumbling into trouble, but rarely if ever takes heed of it, or notices it in some cases. I'd like to see her meet someone who tries to step in, and suffers the consequences of her accident instead. Whether it is someone who tries to be chivalrous and save her from her own mishap, or just an innocent bystander who's in the wrong place at the wrong time, she needs to see the repercussions of her lackadaisical ways. This could be an ongoing friend plot, or just a single meeting.
