I got new contacts on Monday and I've been wearing these for 3 days at about 4 hours or so each day but I can't read very well with them and everything's really blurry. When I called the doctor and they said it was because I wasn't putting in eye drops that would keep my eyes from getting dry but I've done that yesterday and today and they're still blurry. It's really annoying and I can't wear them to school like this so I was wondering if they just take this long to adjust or do I need to see the doctor about them? They're astigmatism contacts do those take longer than regular contacts to adjust? (I hope that this is in the right section and sorry if I'm sound too impatient but I don't know anyone who has contacts like these so I'm not sure if they're supposed to be blurry for the first few days)

Astigmatism contacts should work right away like regular contacts. If this still hasn't improved talk to your optometrist again and tell him exactly how/when your eyesight feels blurry. Add in the fact that you have tried his previous tip with adding eye drops.
Did you have regular contacts before this? Did they work better? Perhaps talk to your optometrist about switching back if you feel that the contacts do not work for you. I have a slight astigmatism (egg shaped eyeballs) in both my eyes but I use regular contacts which works fine for me.

Hope things get better, let me know if things get resolved!

Thanks for your help! I went to the doctors last Friday and it turns out that they put the left contact in the right side of the case and the right in the left. However, when I switched them back I still couldn't see so they are going to reorder a new pair.

That's great! I hope your new pair turn out better than your last ones. whee
