For the past few weeks I've felt... bad. Just tired & exhausted & sickly & overall terrible. Basically a burnt out feeling, both physically & mentally.

But this past week it has gotten SO MUCH WORSE. I... I seriously don't know how to describe it so I'll let this list speak for me:

* Fatigue
* Pale skin
* A fast or irregular heartbeat
* Shortness of breath
* Chest pain
* Dizziness
* Cognitive problems (cognitive means 'process of thought)
* Cold hands and feet
* Headache

I found this list of symptoms here. Every symptom that I highlighted red is something that I have been experiencing. These symptoms started out just being something that I noticed but was too busy to care about, but now it's starting to take over everything I do. Yesterday I had my mom come check me out from school because I felt so terrible.
I'm just sluggish & tired... it's only 10:00 & I could pass out right here and now (If you knew me closely, you'd know that I typically stay up until at least midnight & feel fine), & I fell asleep in class today...

So I don't know... I'm just really worried. Maybe I'm overreacting? I really, really hope so.

Could someone help me out here? Give me some advice or something? Should I see a doctor.

I'm a bit scared for my health.

Oh && before someone accuses me of doing this, I am NOT trying to diagnose myself over the internet. I am simply asking a couple questions before taking anything too seriously.

If you're genuinely worried you should tell your mom and ask her to set up a doctors appointment. That's really the only way you can know for sure.

I'm no doctor, but those symptoms could also just be caused by stress, normal teen hormones, or perhaps just a really bad case of PMS. (Although PMS wouldn't last 'a few weeks' but it could be amplifying your symptoms this week or something?)

I hope you do feel better, and considering this has been going on for a while I think you should at least talk your mom about it.

Did this happen out of the blue, or have you had any lifestyle changes?

You should definitely talk to your Mom about this, but also take into consideration what Lunakea said. Teenage bodies are so wonky, it could be the cause. God knows I've been through enough problems so far.

Eat more red meat and leafy greens like spinach, mustard, or collard. Also, take vitamin or iron supplements.

Definitely see a doctor, but it does sound like anaemia to me. If so, there isn't too much need to worry as when the doctor identifies it it is pretty easy/quick to get over in most cases.
I have no idea why but I've heard from a number of doctors that sucking on ice cubes is a really good thing to do when anaemic. Obviously not a cure but just a bit of trivia and maybe something to ask the doctor about?

I'm sure you're fine but please see a doctor asap since all of your symptoms also point to respiratory problems and that can be scary and not at all fun :/

Let us know how you go <3

It could be anemia, but there's a lot of other things it could be, including atrial fibrillation (I had this in December myself) or even a heart attack.
I had a lot of the same symptoms you had, too. I called my doctor's office and they told me to go to the ER. D:

I had a lot of those symptoms and it turns out my heart pressure fluctuates from very low to very high.
I'm still waiting for the doctor to tell me what to do about it. All he said was drink plenty of liquids. rolleyes
But definitely go see your doctor if it's been getting progressively worse and interfering with your daily life.

Thanks girls heart

I talked to my mom about it, & she said it could very well be anemia. She said if it gets any worse we'll look into visiting a doctor.
