A stone corridor sweeps under the castle in an endless tunnel with torches aligned on the walls to guide the way, the corridor branches out into several empty classrooms that occupy the first floor of the dungeons. A biting chill creeps into the bones of students as they walk past, and the haunting green ambiance of the lake can be noted with the few windows offered for the students on one side of the hallway. In a million different scrawls, the names and jests of students long past are carved into the walls, few and far in between.

It was a surprise that she felt any shock at seeing Colton. But when he followed soon after her Slytherin friend, she still stared in confusion.
But it was Jane's arrival that made feel Phi feel frozen. "Jane!" With a flick of her wrist, she sent a spiral of air toward the smoke that was clouding over her friend. It cleared and she felt herself sighing in relief.
Gratitude, however, flooded her when she saw Colton mimicked her strategy. She hoped Jane would do the same. Ignoring his question, deeming the situation as not one in which chit-chat had much place, she continued with the fires. Freezing them was becoming easier and ever so often she turned and gazed over her shoulder to see Ronyo's progress with smashing the blocks. If ever he was not faring well, she did it for him.
William seemed to have disappeared, to Phi's disappointment, as no one had paid him much attention. But with them three working fast, the flames were soon cleared. However many torches there were in the dungeons, they were not enough to create a dangerous blaze.

The callous disposition he carried so maliciously found its way to him as he watched them all. A humor unfounded before seemed to spark inside of him, and it danced the reflection of his eyes like gold, danced with all of the hands of fire as it paraded all throughout as Ronyo flew past without hestitation. A cruel curl in his lips formed a smile, and he turned just in time to allow Colton the pleasure of this cold smile which could send a shiver of paranoia down anyone's spine. Shouts coursed all through out the dungeons as mayhem spiraled all around him, it all seemed so- so-

Welcoming.

He didn't dwell long on it though because with that smile still broad on his lips, Tay turned on his heel, and casually carried himself up the steps from the dungeon corridor towards the Slytherin Common Room. All the while wondering how badly he had hurt Phinelia with that door, and if it would be obvious to the eye next time he would meet her.

█████████████████ Muggle Born Hufflepuff ████████████

Jane was filled with relief when Phi cleared the smoke around her. Despite the lack of smoke, Jane's lungs still burned and still coughed though that didn't stop her from working to put the fires around. Once most a fire had cleared Jane leaned against a near wall. She pushed back against it then slide down it, coming to a sitting position. She kept coughing as she leaned her head back against the cold stone wall. "Oh, Phi. Thank the gods you're alright" Jane said in an exasperated tone. She slide her knees towards her and let her head fall on them. She had began to feel light headed, no doubt from the smoke inhaltion.

Ronyo Storm - Slytherin
First Year

Ronyo noticed the reaction in Phi's eyes and voice, it did not seem quite happy to see him for some reason. It was likely something better thought about later when there was not a wall of fire behind them. Ronyo heard Phi and nodded in turn as he produced his Ash wand by itself for the time being. With something so important he didn't need to spend time worrying about what would happen with his two wands.

With a look of amazement at his red...dark haired friend as she cast a freezing charm on the fire. It was even more proof that Phi was indeed a Ravenclaw who else could cast a spell like that as a first year. Ronyo smiled and pointed his Ash wand at one of the blocks of ice and did not think about the spell he just acted.

"Wingardium Leviosa!"

The ice floated up and with a flick of his wrist Ronyo sent the ice hurtling towards a section of the fire. By the time the ice reached the flames the solid had become mostly a liquid and proceeded to douse the flame in turn. Ronyo repeated the spell with what ice chunks he could find and followed Phi as they moved along the firs edge. A few of the smaller fires Ronyo took his robe off and smothered the flames quickly but did not try it on the larger groupings as it would likely catch his robe on fire.

"Did the fire from your hair leap out or something? You give a new meaning to the term fiery red-head Phi," That was Ronyo's defense mechanism with troubling situations, to find some humor and a silver-lining.

((OOC: All fire people let's stay here for now, or we will get confused as who did what when lol.))

As the fire was finally seeming to become the victim in the battle, Colton turned to his left to see Tay's malicious smile that was worn on his face as he ascended the stairs. Lowering his eyebrows in both suspicion and anger, Colton tore his attention back to where he stood. Before his eyes could return to melting ice before him, he caught sight of Jane, who didn't seem to be coping very well with all the smoke inhalation and undoubtedly stress. As her head fell against her knees, Colton moved closer to kneel down next to her. "Are- are you okay, Jane? You don't look so well." He carefully observed her slowed actions and slouching posture, hoping that she wouldn't break down on him. Colton was rarely good with heavy emotions, especially in public, and not to mention in the middle of dangerous fires.

Jane looked up at the boy. Not that it helped much. Her vision began to blur. She looked behind Colton to survey the damage. She completely ignored his question. It was important right now. Jane spotted Phi. At least thought it was Phi but her hair..."Phi, what the in the bloody hell happened to you hair?" Not waiting for an answer she looked around the room and spied her robes. If you could even call them that anymore. They had somehow been burnt in the fire. She coughed again. By this time she felt as though she might pass out. Jane had never had the greatest health.

Phi couldn't help but chuckle under her breath at the Slytherin's joke. She had a soft stop for lame humor. But it had been clever.
"I will explain." She stated loudly enough for all of her friends to hear.

With a last charm twirling from her wand tip like the breath of November, the last fire was gone. She took responsibility over the block and personally smashed it into the wall.
Eyes scanning the area, William was gone and Woil seemed to have left too. Cowards, she thought. However, she couldn't help the heavy feeling that she was the one that lost the opportunity. Not them.
Her dark eyes suddenly noticed Colton's odd attention switch. Her eyes followed to where his pointed and again, saw Jane. Phi rushed over without a word, seeing the coughing and labored breath.
Her friend had inhaled smoke. Quite a bit by the sound of it. "Jane. Jane?We will take you to the hospital wing." Offering her a hand, guilt threaded her ever word thickly. Eyes glazing with tangible worry.

Allen Stepping in and looking around hastily to find the girl he was looking for. His heart seemed to freeze when he saw her.
"Jane? Hey, hey Jane?" He practically ran up to her side, finding place between the girl and the Gryffindor boy.
"Oh, hell, you okay?" She was coughing and he could see in the paleness of her skin she was ready to pass out.
He grabbed her shoulders securely, giving her an anchor. "Hey, stay with me. Take slow, even breaths. Com'on Jane."
He turned to the buzz-cutted boy with a look of worry. "Yeah, take her to the Wing. I have another errm.. patient. They both need a nurse."

Ronyo Storm - Slytherin
First Year

The fires had started to die down and it was clear that the remaining embers had nothing to feed on with the stone floor now the only surface for them. Ronyo looked around and could see their little rescue group had not fared so well. He had not expected so many to go through the flames and smoke like he had done, but that was then this was now.

Seeing the other Ravenclaw boy come and check on Jane with Colton Ronyo looked about for anything obvious or telling. His deductive skills were fair but through crumpled flames and charred carpet not much was going to get out. Hearing about another "patient" he thought it was likely the boy he saw coughing on the stairs, so no mention of Tay it seemed. Could it have been the act of the prime suspect leaving the scene of his act? Maybe it was just Tay being Tay and not wanting to stick around like he had done with his fight with Drake. It would all come in time for now they needed to tend to the injured.

"Alright Colton you should be able to carry Jane right," It was a rhetorical question, if anyone could carry Jane alone it was Colton, " Let's get out of this place and to the Hospital wing. We should all get checked out from the smoke, and we can inform a teacher at that point," Ronyo looked over to the Ravenclaw boy, "Does you other patient need help getting along?"

Ronyo still did not know who or what started the fire or for what reason. For now though again it was not important, they just needed to get out of the dungeon level, get to some cleaner air, and get checked out. Ronyo chuckled as he looked at Phi once again and her dark hair.

"Whatever it is you did to your hair, you might want to undo Phi. We all like your red hair more."

((OOC: We can either post going up the stairs or move to the Hospital wing when everyone is ready. Does not have to be now but whoever makes the first move we should all follow.))

Colton looked confused when Jane ignored him despite her unfavorable condition. Both Phi and the boy that had been trailing behind Jane earlier joined his sides, each showing just as much worry as he. When the Hufflepuff address him, Colton's confusion heightened. He was unsure of whom else had been hurt, and also a bit weary to leave his friends behind in such a situation. He turned around to assess the current status of the fire. Seeing a few lingering flames, his eyes shot to Phi's.

It was odd seeing her with such dark hair, and he couldn't deny that he rather missed her usually vibrant locks.
"I can't leave you two here." The worry in his eyes bored into her own, and he hoped that she wouldn't ask him to leave without her. Whether she was aware or not, Colton knew that he was willing to do anything for her, but leaving her nearly trapped in a burning dungeon seemed like it might be an exception.

Before she was able to answer, Ronyo sent a wave of relief over Colton by taking the initiative to announce their group departure. With a light smirk, the muscular boy nodded to his friend before dipping low to scoop Jane up into his arms. Before he had a good grip however, he paused for a moment, slightly ashamed of his lack of manners.
"Do you mind?" He asked the Hufflepuff politely, not wanting to make her any more uncomfortable than it seemed she already was.

The Hufflepuff could feel the tenseness of worry spiraling from every side of him. As far he could visually tell, only Jane was injured. Anyone else had just come out with a slight burn or too. But it didn't take a Ravenclaw to realize there was more than just the bond of mutual worry at work here.
Being addressed by the Slytherin, he turned to politely regard what he was saying, regardless of the spike of instant distrust that just as quickly disappeared when he looked him in the eye. As much as Allen regretted it, he had a bias and a set opinion of the Snake House. But the look of this white haired boy made his subconscious re-think it.

"Seems he also inhaled some smoke. Was lightheaded, looked like he needed some help." Then, Colton turned toward him (after an admirably graceful sweep with Jane that made Allen flush slightly) and he couldn't help but stand a bit flustered.

The black haired girl however, relieved him of it. Allen bowed to them both regardless. Realizing now from the exchanges going on that the girl before him was in fact the Phi they had searched for. Seemed she changed her hair. Allen blinking with interest before reminding himself of his duty to Woil.

"I will go help the other and meet you at the Stairs." He addressed everyone, not even finishing his sentence before running back to the Ravenclaw's side that he hoped still waited for him outside.

{will post with him again on the stairs when you do.}

Phi listened intently to Ronyo's offers and expressed thoughts. She even heard Colton mutter words to her but all the time her eyes were locked on Jane as her chest felt heavy with enough guilt to break through the rock of the corridor.
Only once she felt Colton's eyes burning into her that she turned and met them, giving him a nod that she understood. She would come.

Flushing at both Ronyo's and Colton's previous remarks about her changed hair, she again produced her wand in her left hand. Pointing to her hair, she muttered, "Finite." Red, as if seeping from her wand and coloring her locks returned the vivid fiery color to her. Making her once more feel like Phi.
Colton now turned to the white-haired boy, asking for some assistance, and reading the expression of both confusion, worry and out-of-place-ness painted on his face, Phi easily relieved him.
"Here," she caught Colton's eye, "Let me." She easily helped him with Jane, placing her softly into his arms, hoping she was still semi-conscience.
At the sound of the other Hufflepuff boy leaving, she turned toward the eixt and awaited her friends to lead as her thoughts wound themselves tighter again.

Colton smiled lightly as Phi place the half-conscious girl in his arms, and he stood easily, barely aware of the weight in his arms. He looked over his shoulder to make sure that Ronyo planned to follow as he headed towards the end of the corridor after Phi. His eyes dusted across the other victim destined for a bed in the hospital room, and Colton seemed a little confused when he barely recognized the kid. He followed along quickly, repeatedly checking on Jane's apparent health as they made their way out of the smokey dungeon.

The number of students and the volume of eyes had made ascending to the castles higher levels all but impractical for the time being. Once the students had settled in for the first night and begun their restless attempts at sleep the White Fox could more easily traverse the Grand Staircase in his own fashion, but he made a note to begin compiling alternate routes to areas he knew he would frequent often. There would likely come a time when he would be forced to quickly retreat and only having one exit was highly detrimental.

So the lowest levels now replaced the highest in priority, only for the sake of time and the wish to scan and compile information that could be used later. Still this was an area for caution as there would be no open shouts or visible opposition calling him out. Down here those who knew how to hide and move in darkness dwelled and it was a fact he understood. One would think the area with the most shadows to pick from would be the place of first pick for the white clad masked figure. Though the in truth the larger number of shadows only meant a larger area to be wary of himself, and a more likely chance of having "accidental" run-ins with those he wished to avoid. For now the mission was recon and stealth no unnecessary engagement with individuals, friendly or hostile.

From one shadow to the next the White Fox bounded through the halls of the dungeon. Silence following along him with each step and every quick movement. While it was more likely to run into a real ghost down here it was less likely to be mistaken as one given the play of shadow. Each move was taken with caution and not without at least two or three checks to the area he would move to. Now was not the time for meeting the students of Hogwarts, for that would come on its own without the need of help once the White Fox fully began to be known.

So many rooms, so many possible avenues of approach for a well hidden ambush or secure listening post. Thoughts such as these went through the mind of the White Fox even if the former was highly unlikely and the latter not currently possible. So far the white masked figure had been up and down the dark and dank halls with little worry or trouble in regards to encounters. It seemed all the houses were more occupied with events of the first night not just the higher dwelling ones.

A few times he had made a pass by the stairs and could still hear the large volume of chatter from the new students filing this way and that. His time by them had to be brief as badgers filed down quickly but most were talkative enough to give fair warning. Few snakes had come down so far, some here and there, but so far not the mass drove like the others. Bringing up the rear, not always a bad spot but highly suspicious if it was of a planned design. The powerful Griffins and sharp Ravens took flight first, followed by the higher volume of badgers, and the stealthy snakes as rear guard. If it was a military maneuver it would have been truly something to see, the thought alone put a grin on the face of the masked figure, if one could have seen it that is.

Again the White Fox looked down the hall of abandoned and forgotten rooms filled with dust and newer smaller residence who sought to dwell within corners and ceiling beams. He wished he could check them all but it would accomplish little but bring attention to any odd actions as even with magic he could not put everything back in perfect place, not among eyes who new magic as well. Even if something fascinating did come to be found there was even less he could do in such a case. He had not come geared for monitored observation of the stake out variety, and he had no reason to have either given the nature of his mission and hopeful goals. Once again into the shadows the White Fox went, gone from view and now doing more waiting than scouting for the time when the houses would allow night to take them in sleep and those who worked best during such time to go to work.
